Early Morning Thread 6/28/15 Banned in 57 States Edition [krakatoa]

"Hey, I'm new here. Where can I get some good fried chicken?"

Yes - I was once almost physically attacked for asking that question to the only other people on a job site when I had a craving for fried chicken.

Luckily for everyone, the old man in the group grabbed some arms and told me where KFC was.

This was years ago. I presume today I'd be arrested at the end of the melee.

3 Good Morning Morons. Today is Sunday, June 28, 2015. On this day in 1894 Labor Day became an official US holiday. They should have named it commie day because that is who it was established for after the Haymarket Riots.

15 From the last thread, my reply to Laurie David's Cervix's pessimism towards Christian's refusal unto death to accept the heresy of teh ghey "marriage":

I have a few replies to that, all of which would get me banned. Suffice it to say: the day will belong to the ones with the stomach for the most horror, and I don't think the pampered and coddled tumblrinas and SJWs have the same stomach as the Parisian mobs, Russian bolsheviks, and Khmer Rouge. (Stalin never got a participation trophy, Hitler never needed a trigger warning, Pol Pot never demanded a "safe space") They talk a good game online, but will back down when confronted with physical force.
We morons may have the body of weak and feeble middle aged alcoholics, but we have the hearts and stomachs of a king.

16 I am a clone, I am not alone
Every fibre of my flesh and bone is identical to the others
Everything I say is in the same tone
As my test tube brother's voice
There is no choice between us,
If you had ever seen us,
You'd rejoice in your uniqueness
And consider every weakness something special of your own
Being a clone, I have no flaws to identify
Even this doggerel that pours from my pen,
Has just been written by another twenty telepathic men,
Oh, word for word, it says:

"Oh, for the wings of any bird, other than a battery hen".

Just darting in to say that Time piece by Hart was a good read in that he does name names and some other tidbits of info I wasn't aware of.

With that said, remember it's Hart talking. And he conveniently leaves out Unions and so forth, but it's still worth a read, over at Drudge:

HART: Obama's America 'most corrupt republic ever'...

I hadn't even got back online since my TGIF drink Friday evening, and it's been nice. Try it, you'll like it.

U.S space agencies must complete the purchase of Russian-made RD-180 rocket engines until a domestically produced equivalent is ready for use, the head of U.S. Space Command said June 26.

If the current law is not modified, America will not have assured access to space and competition will have been unintentionally eliminated, giving the new entrant a monopoly, Tory Bruno, President and CEO United Launch Alliance, said referring to launch provider SpaceX.

Talking to my brother the other day, he pointed out that regardless of who the Republican nominee is, the Democrat slime machine will be effective for its intended audience. Then they will have another reason to hate Republicans because, "You forced me to vote for that crook Hillary Clinton because you ran that right wing nut." That also allows them to believe that they are not Democrat partisans because they believe that they would vote for a Republican if he or she had not been subjected to the Democrat slime treatment.

They're going to try it again today. I've got a good feeling about this. I think they're going to stick the landing this time. If they do, it will be a first in the history of spaceflight: a rocket landing under its own power on retractable legs, as God and Robert A. Heinlein intended.

Of course, first the launch has to go right. Launches always make me nervous.

124 Things that the gay power agenda won't be doing at first (not because they don't want to, but because the public isn't ready for it yet.)

Legalizing polygamy, etc.

Create a national legal age of consent and setting it to 16 (or eliminating it).

They will have to wait for several decades in the US to get these, but they will wait.

As for the age of consent, they don't really care, as they can groom children into the lifestyle and keep their activities underground. The legal age of consent only matters for what happens out in public.

Just like how Statists deny that Muslims want to destroy Israel, or that such a thing could happen, and then immediately castigate Israel for made-up "war crimes" and "genocide" that if true would justify the invasion of Israel, and the destruction of the government there, to be replaced with something not democratic and not Jewish or Christian.

You see, we failed to learn the lesson of Vietnam.

The lesson of Vietnam is that Democrats hate to see the United States win any military victories ever and so, as soon as Democrats achieve political power again they will do everything in their power to lose those wars which were already won and cause the American lives and sacrifices that those victories cost to be wasted.

The consequence of this is that the United States does not have the military option of ground campaigns which cause a minimum of damage and try to avoid collateral damage. The only real option is the sledgehammer approach with "rubble does not make trouble" as the essential doctrine. For the most part, this can be accomplished without nuclear weapons. So far, Democrats can not yet bring our enemies back from the dead so this is about the only type of military action that makes sense for the United States any more.

182 I honestly don't give a damn about race, sex or sexual preferences, I just never have. I didn't care about gay marriage when it was illegal, and I don't care about it now that it's legal. Like having a black President, the importance some people place on gay marriage is baffling to me.

I guess the only seriously important thing on my own personal agenda is my own personal agenda ... my career, my finances, my retirement, leaving a nest egg for the Mrs. in case I keel over, that kind of thing.

My guess is that there are millions of conservatives like me, with no interest in being an activist for changing how things are done (or not done) in the country writ large.

But the point upthread is interesting: for all that blacks, gays, feminists, etc., have been accomplishing, virtually none of them seem to be happy, and the vast majority aren't successful.

Makes me wonder whether they'd be happier if they focused on conditions more directly relevant to their personal lives (education, job, working an incremental retirement plan and so on) than trying to change the world.

I sometimes feel I'm obsessing over things no one else cares about, and that I don't care about things everyone else is obsessing over.

The similarities between 1930's Germany and current day USA are staggering

====

in broad outline, sure. there's just as much arguing against that
thesis however. we don't have anything like the Freikorps to start with.
Nor did we just lose an existential war due to being "stabbed in the
back" by traitors (as was thought popularly).

Posted by: Bigby's Knuckle Sandwich at June 28, 2015 08:12 AM (Cq0oW)"

I could argue that WW I was not an existential war since Germany existed after the war, even though the government that began the war no longer existed. In fact, that was one of the sources of resentment. The previous government was removed and replaced and the Allies still imposed the Versailles sanctions on the successor government. In the minds of the German people, democratic government became associated with losing the war, national weakness and economic hardship.

That shows just how close they came to success. The stage was in free fall until the center engine relit at 0:28.

this. I think they're going to stick the landing this time. If they
do, it will be a first in the history of spaceflight: a rocket landing

201 Interesting day today. In my church we both visit an assigned group of other people at their home, and are visited ourselves by a group of people, normally at our home. Each visiting group consists of two people. Today I formally demanded that I be removed from a visiting group where the other person voted for Obama twice. I also formally demanded that the people who visit me be changed because they work for the USG. I stated they would no longer be welcome in my home.

When I was asked why, I told them it was because I didn't trust myself to not tell the Obama voter exactly what I thought of him and his damned stupidity. I then said I also would not allow anyone who worked for such a corrupt organization as the USG to pass through my front door.

The fellow who asked me "why" looked at me for a few seconds, then extended his hand, shook mine, and said, "It's done, and I don't blame you one bit."

I'm done dealing with these bastards as if this is just tiddlywinks. I despise the leftists and I'm going to let them know it every chance I get. I've got a very Christian attitude toward these scumbags: it's exactly the same attitude Christ showed toward the moneylenders in the Temple.

Screw going along to get along and keep the peace. Those days, for me at least, are over. The Obama voter and the USG bunch are TWANLOC and I'm done with TWANLOC. I won't willingly have any dealings with them or any other TWANLOC under any circumstances.

Yeah, I mean on Earth. The LM did it on the Moon, but Earth has 6x the gravity.

The Falcon 9 first stage is the height of a 10-story building.

There have been plenty of tests of propulsive landings of rockets, but this is a rocket stage that has actually been used to propel a payload to orbit. When the first stage is jettisoned, it is about 50 miles high and traveling at Mach 6.

It then has to maneuver down to a landing on a postage stamp on the ocean.

The Russian Soyuz capsule lands by parachute, and is assisted by small solid rocket motors which fire 1 second before landing to cushion the impact.

From what I heard, manufacturers have stopped making them. (Except for what Cloyd Freud said above.)

I heard it from Flag Store USA, which is an online seller of flags. They get most of their flags from Annin, which is an old and respected flag manufacturer. They make every kind of flag imaginable.

I looked at Annin's website, and sure enough, the CBF is no longer shown.

I would assume that the US government is a major customer of flag manufacturers, so they probably have a lot of clout.

well in the 2004 primaries that all the Dems did a 180 on the war in
Iraq. George W.Bush made the mistake of thinking that they country was
united like in WW II and that partisan disputes would be put aside for
the good of the nation when it came to the war.

Well, now we know better.

As I recall when the vote was held in Oct before the election they all (most) voted FOR it. As soon as the election was over they all reversed themselves in Dec and were against it.

234 Transsexual/transgender power. This will start as "going into any bathroom you want to if you are in the special group."

Employment protection and affirmative action for the gay power groups ("LGBTQ etc").

Mandatory indoctrination of all children into the gay lifestyle at school.

Mandatory
testing of beliefs in school children to make sure there is no

prejudice (and that they are getting indoctrinated properly).

Gay Supreme Court justice.

Gay governors.

Gay President.

I think we've got all of this already. Especially the last one

236 The tact I took in an email to my State Rep on the homo marriage thing was to point out that the USSC had simply abolished marriage in the states and requested that we change the heading on the former marriage certificates to something unpleasant and officious like Certificate of State Approved Cohabitation.

238 84 No lack from from their POV, se. Honestly, I've rarely met any religious person who has such righteous, indignant morality as a soldier in the homosex army. It's breathtaking in it's stricture.

Not even close. Watched otherwise sane, intelligent friends (all female, BTW) go straight to insane discussing it. I give them the ThermonuclearŪ (patent pending) Eyeroll and a hearty "Bitch, please......."

240 For all of the "cool conservatives" who say we should abandon the fight against marriage corruption, the ones who say, "Gay marriage doesn't affect me," and "There are 1,000 issues I care more about then gay marriage," I have only this to say.

You might not be interested in the gay power movement, but they are interested in you. And your children.

241 People like S.E. Cupp, who basically became famous for being able to write well and be chosen to be on a 'Hottest Conservative Women" calendar, are also so afraid of not being invited to the cool parties anymore that they are willing to bend immediately to make sure they stay on the tolerated list by the left.

242 One thing that should be obvious. No one on the left EVER retreats. Or says something should be accepted or they'll be a relic, etc. They fight on. They also start at the beginning.

The left knew in order to get their agenda through, they would need to have edicts, court rulings, etc. Which means they cannot have judges who look at the letter of the law. The left has taken over virtually all of the law schools in the country, making sure that what is taught and tested there is how to use the law or how to circumvent 'improper" Non-left approved laws to get what is going to lead all to utopia and a power grab. So we have what we now have, a SC and lower courts who edict out of thin air, court rulings that favor their ideology.

243 Hey I gather that you were the only honkey on the job site. You should have asked, "Where's the nearest Roscoe's Chicken 'n Waffles?"

Our dear leader (I'll be damned if I give capital letters to that narcissistic Piece of Crap) made the obligatory campaign stop at the Pasadena Roscoe's (they took photos to prove it) back in 2008. Helped show he was down with the hood.

245 "The lesson of Vietnam is that Democrats hate to see the United States win any military victories ever and so, as soon as Democrats achieve political power again they will do everything in their power to lose those wars which were already won and cause the American lives and sacrifices that those victories cost to be wasted.

The consequence of this is that the United States does not have the military option of ground campaigns which cause a minimum of damage and try to avoid collateral damage. The only real option is the sledgehammer approach with "rubble does not make trouble" as the essential doctrine. "

----------------

The "rubble does not cause trouble" doctrine needs to be applied to large segments of our colleges and universities.

I'd be more than willing to leave the buildings intact, however. It's the people who are employed there that need to go away, preferably to the unemployment line.

248 The mandatory indoctrination of all children to the gay lifestyle officially began when the CA legislature required all of the textbooks in the state be rewritten to include the accomplishments of gays.

What that cost didn't make any difference to them.
