28 With liitle bit of research I have found that Justice Anthony Kennedy lives in the Mclean Langley area, not exactly the most diverse area in the country. In fact, taking a look at the demographics I would have to say the esteemed social engineer has more than a little subconscious racism. I doubt Klan leaders lived in areas with so few blacks. Although there do seem to be quite a few Asians in the area, which liberals use to prove how much they love living alongside minorities.

Actually, this is a teachable moment for the GOP-

If they really want us to believe that they will get rid of Obamacare (I know, I know. Just roll with me here a minute)-

then they will introduce a bill to put all Fed employees, all House and Senate members and staff, and the Prez, his family, his staff-

all on Obamacare. No exceptions.

And push this bill hard.

Every week, force votes and have debates.

Let the Dims argue for their exclusion from this wonderful bill as everyone else is getting fucked.

Let the anger build until election.

Win-win-win.

But then, of course, they'd have to follow thru and put in place free market insurance and tort reform.

And that's where the beautiful, beautiful dream falls apart...

*sigh*

To coin a phrase...
Posted by: BackwardsBoy, who did not vote for this sh1t at June 26, 2015 09:13 AM (eEb+d)

All people like to judge others. Especially the "tolerant" left.

They love judging everyone who isn't 100% in lockstep with them.

Go on NYT sometime when they write an article in any way related to southerners. They're so tolerant that they can't wait to pull out the "white trash" (racial slur) "trailer trash" (classist slur -- making fun of peoples houses), "stupid redneck" (lifestyle choice slur, intelligence slur), etc. etc.

I've never seen that open vitriol from conservatives toward any group. But they're the tolerant ones.

Posted by: mynewhandle at June 26, 2015 09:15 AM (AkOaV)

50 and by NYT I mean the comments, not the article.

The articles merely IMPLY those things, the commenters say it

Catholic church allows for divorce, but it has to be through the church, and it can't be a "no fault" type situation.

But for example, if a husband beats his wife / kids or is a sexual pervert or whatever... if there's a legit reason, the church will grant an annulment / divorce. It's fairly rare (since most people don't want to go through the hassle), but it is a possibility for those so inclined.

I'm in IT which is very tight right now. You think in a world that's becoming more and more digital IT jobs would everywhere but I'm finding that's not the case. In the mid-90's, simply listing 'computer experience' got you a job. Now they want a highly specific skill-set which I don't have. I worked my way up from mail clerk to systems analyst, and have experience in a lot of different things, but I'm not a expert in any one thing so that hurts me.

Obviously, it's her own affair (SWIDT?) and, as long as she's not running up a big welfare tab or otherwise burdening the rest of us, it's not something to get one's knickers in a twist about. Either way.

All that said, I'm still a believer in the traditions of marriage, and in doing things in their proper order (i.e. getting hitched before cranking out progeny). 129 I know a lot of people attention is on the Scotus's absurd Obamacare ruling. However, the "disparate impact" ruling is probably the worst ruling since Roe v. Wade, and the most dangerous one in a century or more.

By the "logic" of disparate impact, no one will be treated as an individual again, only as a member of a socioeconomic group. Every hire, fire, and promotion in an organization will be judged on the impact on that person's socioeconomic group.

Education and law enforcement will also have to reflect the same logic.

I do not know how this will work out. However, having watched the insanity of the last 8 years, I no longer believe that the worst-case scenario is unlikely and that slippy slopes do not exist. "Taking things to their logical extremity" is now normal, even expected.

They have to actually get to the trough.

I can't be a let it burn guy, I have kids.

I can't be a no vote or Hillary! guy, I have kids and want to leave them a better America.

This time we can't fall in line with the leadership.

We have to play chicken to get what we want.

That's why, right now, we need to get behind Trump.

And no, I'm not kidding.

They can live with Hillary!. All they need to do is make sure she gets her cut.

A loudmouth/loose cannon unbeholden to the GOPe like Trump is their worst nightmare.

We need, if their are any, conservative Reps, to introduce and not let up, everybody-into-the-pool bills for Obamacare-

let the leadership defend their exclusion and target them in the primaries.

There are things that can be done.

But, we as voters have to be willing to play chicken and have to be willing to follow through-

if we want to be taken seriously and get what we want.

146 The point of charging Roof with a hate crime: Future use.

Tack the hate crime charge onto Roof's charges and his obviously horrible crime. Later charge someone else with whom you disagree (e.g. Christians) with the same hate crime charge even though they have committed no crime, but only adhere to beliefs you find intolerable in your "tolerance". Thus you equate the Christian's beliefs with Roof's crimes and basically criminalize their beliefs.

One tip I heard recently is if you find a job posting, run it through wordle.net or accepted.com to get a word cloud. The words & phrases that come out as most frequent you then put in your resume with similar frequency. That's so the se that HR uses will match you.

Also remember 5/20/70 of finding a job.
5% of jobs are found on the internet
20% of jobs are found thru a recruiter
70% of jobs are found via networking
So use your time wisely
(And no, I don't know where the other 5% find their jobs)

which would have a certain amount of irony to it, since it was the left who pushed all the redneck backwards southern states to raise their age of consent to 18 because "child brides" and all that.

Of course, many northern states still have the age of consent at 16.

I think some southern states may have had it at like 14 before the push to raise it a decade or two ago, which... yeah, seems young.

But these laws HAVE ruined a lot of peoples lives. 17 year old is dating a 15 year old, he turns 18, her parents hate him -- boom, call the cops and he's now on a sex offenders list for the rest of his life.

That ruling is anchored to nothing but the whims of the Court; not the law, not the Constitution, nothing.

It is completely beyond any Constitutional authority of the Court.

This ruling is precedent for ignoring the plain text of every law, not just this one.

All a future Court has to do is imagine some "intent" and they can rewrite the law, any law.

If you can't see just how dangerous that is, you are blind.

No, I have never heard Taylor Swift (that I know of) sing one note of anything. Never. I don't listen to pop music. I do occasionally delve into pop conservative webzines though.

What a waste.

Reading the article from the guy who thinks Taylor Swift's latest song will make you a worse person, made me a worse person.

My only question is: Why would they not?

What possibly would keep them from doing that?

Asked another way; Why would not an illegal alien vote in the next election?

What motive do any of these people have to not break the law?

The list of whom laws apply keeps getting smaller and smaller.

So why would certain people, groups of people, not feel empowered to do whatever the fuck they want to?

The goodness in their hearts? Pure motives for the greater good?

deep, deep blue CT has an age of consent of 16, and a romeo and juliet law that I think is fairly vague -- gives exception for "normal teenaged relationship" or something, which essentially protects against those kinds of situations.

But VA, for example, is very strict on the 18. I remember being advised in college that if you're 18 and the girl was 17, it could very well be considered a crime. So, you know, be careful.

So they're excited for when all white countries are majority "minority."

I mean, it is what it is. I'm not big on the whole "racial" thing, I think tribal politics should be below us, but it's one of the big pushes on the left.

And no, they do not realize that not only will the white liberals be pushed out of power, but that their (and all of our) standards of living will most likely crash if/when we import enough 3rd world immigrants to outnumber native born whites.

RoyalOil is right about the jaw-dropping idiocy of the SCOTUS' latest ukaz.

The Yuval Levin piece is creepy. Creepy, you ask, how's that?

Because he presents an almost-yawning calm dry little narrative about the outrageous law-making of Roberts and Co. that conveys none of the alarm or contempt and very little of the substance of an intelligent analysis.

He blandly recounts the bizarre, unbelievable "strategy" of the administration in substituting (comically, obviouslyfalse) assumptions and assertions of O-care's importance, success, and settled nature for actual legal arguments.

Words now really do fail. O-care was "intended to improve health care markets"? WTF? "Justice" Roberts, is your economic illiteracy as abject as that of the president's? And WTF are you doing divining and even caring about the POLICY "intent" of a law, vs. its process intent, requirements and the executive's execution?

Going to have to chide Scalia on his dissent, too. Too calm, not nearly aggressive enough. The court has now pretty much completed its journey to being a completely arbitrary, lawless, illegitimate entity.

True orwellian days. Intended to "improve health care markets". And collectivization in the Ukraine was intended to "improve agricultural markets" too, I suppose, you illiterate dimwit Roberts?

There's actually a logical counter argument to that nutjobbery you posted.

It has to go through a takedown of the idea of "Sexual exceptionalism" (the idea that sex related laws should be different than basically everything else.)

The gist of it is: You can't justify it based on anything more than raw assertion. As such there's no basis for it.
Thus apply normal rules, parental deference, etc.

Problem of course is that sexual exceptionalism got basically ensconced in the legal system as an override to parental deference . Thanks hippie liberals for fucking all that shit up.

Seriously it's all fucked up that a 14 year old can get an abortion sans parental consent in many states but can't get a Tylenol.

327 Big question to the holy roller moralists. Why do you continue to fall for rhetoric from people who don't live up to their allegedly moral supremacy.

Palin is out there pushing family values and other socially conservative nonsense, yet her daughter keeps getting knocked up.

Denny Hastert was anti-gay when in Congress, yet he molested young boys.

Why do you continue to support politicians who claim to be the epitome of virtue and all holy, yet engage in acts that they condemn?

"Your posting in this manner led to you being publicly identified as a North Charleston Police officer and associated both you and the Department with an image that symbolizes hate and oppression to a significant portion of the citizens we are sworn to serve" Police Chief Eddie Driggers wrote, as reported by WCIV.

342 I am done with the Catholic Church. The last straw.

When the Vatican signs a treaty with "The State of Palestine," it is in fact signing a treaty with Hamas, a terrorist organization.

Dear Pope and the rest of the Vatican fools, please read the Bible, Genesis 12:3:

"I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you."

Read it again in Numbers 24 when Balaam talks about the Nation of Israel:

"Blessed is he who blesses you. And cursed is he who curses you.

Hamas curses Jew and Christian alike. This Pope has made an alliance with the devil, the same way the Holy See signed a compact with the Nazis in the Reichskonkordat.

I'm not surprised that Hector is historically ignorant, as well as a racist bore.

Hey, douche-wad, the 13th Amendment ended Slavery. The 14th was the (incredibly poorly worded and absolutely unnecessary) "Equal Protection under the Law" amendment.

Poorly worded because it was used to create birthright citizenship for illegal aliens.

Unnecessary because the Rule of Law *means* equal protection under the law, and by the the Courts already had the recognized authority to strike down laws. Any law that did not live up to the standard could already be invalidated, and any citizen who received disparate treatment under the law could already sue for relief.

No, on two counts. One can read Section Four of the 14th Amendment to mean that we are not responsible for the debts racked up by Choom Boy and the treasonous shitweasels who infest Congress. I'm sure teh Supremes would say "no," but that's how I read it.

Also, the 14th doesn't -- at least to my quick scan a few minutes ago -- doesn't have One. Single. Word. in it about ANY kind of marriage, so SCotUS was, as too often, wishcasting.

And the 17th needs to be preserved and, if possible, strengthened. Even if, as I fear, Choom Boy will pee all over it next year, we need to keep a tight rein on preezies.

this is the problem

The state of SC decided to take down the flag, but it didn't end there. It was Nikki, Scott, Graham, etc. Your voted/representative/officials.

Gay marriage, I don't really care, but if it attacks religions and forces them to go against their beliefs...

The trade deal? Who knows what was in it. Trade? Trade can be good for the nation. But was it Trade? Nah, more Emperor powers.

Gun control. Same thing.

We have lost all common sense. People have lost their collective minds. They are acting like feral dogs attacking the only piece of meat left on the planet.

The country is in a feeding frenzy, being used by the wealthiest and politicians to become more wealthy and stay in power.

Nothing is held sacred. Nothing has any value anymore.

Well, and it's Bristol's choice whether to have the baby cut out of her or not, not her mother's.

I suspect most politicos' daughters get dragged off to the spa for a D and C whether they want one or not.

422 If a white conservative gets pregnant out of wedlock there is shame and a sense of failure to meet a standard. And eventual forgiveness.

If a white lefty gets pregnant out of wedlock it just means another welfare beneficiary that will spend it's life leeching off of others in a life long orgy of whining and self pity.

Today as I noted is my anniversary.

And as I noted 5 years ago today. The Civil aspect of my marriage was merely some forms to fill out for legal purposes.

There are lots of things I do solely to handle legal concerns that I don't particularly care about.

To that end, I'd frankly just like to see a dissolving of civil marriage all together. It's more or less meaningless at this point and could be handled via other mechanisms (DPOA, Medical power of attorney, wills, etc.)

444 Show of hands time, don't be shy. How many of you believe that now that the gay rights special interests have what they want, they will be happy?

You really expect the Professional Activist Class to fold their tents and look for jobs in the Obama economy?

No, there are plenty of new frontiers for the Lesbian Gay Bullying Totalitarians to pursue:

- Banning disagreement with gay activities via "anti-bullying" and "hate speech" legislation.
- School curricula to include "gay history" as well as museums and monuments to be demanded to gay heroes like Harry Hay, Larry Bruckner, and Harvey Milk.
- Churches must be forced to perform gay marriages or lose tax exempt status.

It will never end.

Eh, if she wasn't planning on having sex there's no reason to be on a daily contraceptive. Or if she were having sex with her fiancé and didn't care if she got pregnant because they were a few weeks out from their wedding...

The latter option is probably the most sad for her, especially if she really was kept in the dark about his past.

I don't know.

I love the quote from Roberts that Drudge has in red.

Sums it up.

Again, I'm not against gay marriage. But marriage is
a) not mentioned in the constitution

and
b) not an enumerated power, and not an equal protection situation, so...

yeah, SCOTUS should have said "the federal government has no say in marriage one way or another. Wrong venue."
