"This Sculpture Just Screamed 'Mansplaining'!"

Tell me again you're serious people, and not vapid little children in need of instruction.

That tweet went viral over Memorial Day weekend. It all started when Ash Hernandez saw the statue on her way to take a teacher's certification test. She was so outraged that she ran back to her car to get her phone to snap a picture.

"The sculpture just screamed mansplaining," Hernandez told Women in the World, a New York Times affiliate.

Hernandez sent the picture to her friend Cathy de la Cruz, who tweeted it out. The tweet went viral, prompting other Twitter users to post photos of statues they found sexist.

Look, I have bad news for everyone: The world's about to be destroyed. How, I'm not sure. But destroyed it shall be.

Now what I propose is the building of three Space Arks.

The second arc, Ark B, is the one I really want to talk about. On this Ark, we'll put all the most important people in our society: The radfems, the genderf*cks, the censors, the quivering priestesses of false rape allegations, the trans-women seeking abortions, Matt Bai.

We'll send this Space Ark first because it's imperative that whatever planet the rest of us settle on be certified, from the start, to be gender-sensitive and trans-friendly.

What do you guys think of my plan?!?!

26 White liberals have fabricated this insane fantasyworld completely suffused by the notion of "white privilege" -- something which humankind has somehow avoided noticing for a million years, until a few months ago -- and now every single aspect of their lives is dominated by awareness of "privilege." Except there's a big, big problem:

1. Having privilege is (in this worldview) the absolutely worst thing you can have: It marks you as morally inferior and evil, like being personally responsible for genocide;
2. The very act of being white automatically and irrevocably means you have privilege;
3. The progressives pushing this notion are basically all white;
4. Therefore they hate, loathe, despise, can't tolerate, sneer at, are disgusted by, mock, spit upon, seek to humiliate and want to kill THEMSELVES. Constantly.

They have become self-loathing suicide-bots.

That would be disturbing enough.

HOWEVER...

...the fact is they DON'T kill themselves. And they continue to fully enjoy the "privilege" they so disparage.

Which means only one of two things:

a. They're either competely double-insane -- being crazy to the core in two different way simultaneously (thinking they themselves deserve to die due to their race, while also totally ignoring this fact and despersately pretending it doesn't exist); or

b. They're flaming hypocrites to the nth degree.

Probably some combination of both.

So, yes, disturbing: Progressives are double-insane hypocrites. And yet they walk around, la-de-la, without a care in the world.

Ok, I'm over on yahoo finance reading articles and I came across one about 401ks. I can't post, because pixy, but apparently there is a category called 'highly compensated employee' and if other employees don't put enough money into their companies 401k, they can limit your contribution as low as 6k, even though the actual limit is something like 18k now. 129 Unfortunately, evolutionary theory suggests that the vast quantity of potential "Ark B" passengers may mean that there is some ecological niche that they fill, which in turn implies that

a) Life as we know it will, for some strange reason, cease to exist without these people (as happened in TRATEOTU)

or

b) Something even more adept at filling that niche will arise.

In the case of a), much as I detest these Ark-B's, I would find it even less palatable to have to admit the possibility that it was a mistake to send them away.

In the case of b), The current crop of "Most Important People In Society" or MIPIS is quite unbearable enough. I shudder to think what might replace them.

Thus, since the current situation is superior to either a) or b), I will rejoice that we live in the best of all possible worlds, and cultivate my garden.

Even better, I have been present at the birth of another meme: "Most Important People In Our Society" (MIPIS? MIPIOS? MIPOS?). Ace, you coined it -- what do you think is the best acronym. (I like MIPOS, rhymes with hippos)

Oh, without getting in to it too much for fear of being called names -- yes.

Look at the demographics supporting anything you dislike, going all the way back to 1920 and, er, a pattern emerges.

Even without universal womens suffrage, look at the hell the wymynz unleashed while their men were getting swamp feet in Europe and the women who could vote decided they didnt want their men coming home and drinking booze.

225 mynewhandle, #187,

You were addressing Pastafarian but I'd like to chime in:

If he had just said, "We shouldn't have supplied these guys with weapons, and we may have made ISIS stronger by doing so," I'd have no objection. If he'd said of arming these guys, "I told you so, you fucking fools," I'd still have no objection.

What he said was, "ISIS exists and grew stronger because of the hawks in our party who gave arms indiscriminately." That is very dumb. The "grew stronger" is true as far as it goes, though it omits a great many more important factors. That they "exist" because of that misjudgment is absurd.

228 So a statue of an attractive man and woman comfortable together and possibly interested in each other caused this woman an instant feeling of outrage. Sorry, that is not a reaction to any imagined "mansplaining." Like "yes means yes" and the rest of the "feminist" war on heterosexual sex, that is almost certainly the reaction of a lesbian angry at the sight of a figure that she is attracted to (the girl), receiving the attentions of her mortal enemy (the male competition). And sure enough, it only took a little googling to find that Cathy de la Cruz describes herself as "a queer punk feminist liberal."

That word "liberal." I don't think it means what you think it means.

231 Obviously, it can't be called an "ark" because that's oppressive. That name represents the oppression of women through religious colonialist patriarchy. Also, Noah only took two of each species, committing genocide against animals that were outside the binary gender paradigm, therefore, oppression.

Also, if it is aerodynamically designed to ascend into space, it is almost certainly a phallic symbol, and therefore oppressive.

I (and I think the American people) always figured that that Susan B. Anthony thing was totally about getting a female on money. Didn't matter that she wasn't in the same class/level of the other recipients of representation on our money.

Then they tried the Sacajawea BS and that didn't work either.

They finally figured out that people just didn't want a freaking heavy piece of metal in their pants or purse to lug around.

So now they're trying for a piece of currency.

Frankly I say FINE only put whoever they decide on they 2 dollar bill. (yeah bring it back or maybe depending on who they what to put there; a 3 dollar bill).

Maybe they should wait until Carly Fiona is elected President and then put her on a bill. Oh wait she's a Republican so she can't represent women because Feminism.
