1 Good Morning Morons. Today is Sunday, May 24, 2015. On this day in 1883 the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City is opened to traffic after 14 years of construction.

2 As expected the new AG is just as big a racist as Holder ever was. Evidently a cop can not shoot black teens even if they are trying to run you over.

3 Ted Turner and other super rich turds plan on funding the UN's so-called sustainable development boondoggle.

The United Nations Foundation created by billionaire Ted Turner, along with a branch of media giant Thomson Reuters, is starting to train a squadron of journalists and subsidize media content in 33 countries including the U.S. and Britain in a planned $6 million effort to popularize the bulky and sweeping U.N. sponsored Sustainable Development Goals, prior to a global U.N. summit this September where U.N. organizers hope they will be endorsed by world leaders.

Once I saw which potential candidates were for/against the Bank, it was easy to make up my mind.

When an institution is loved by Hitlery Klinton and Miss Lindsey Graham, and disliked by damn near everyone else, one can only assume that it is a corrupt tool of the undeservedly privileged class.

Never mind that Bernie Sanders dislikes it as well. "The enemy of my enemy..." and all that. This time, anyway.

We need to end all government-supported institutions that are not directly beneficial to American citizens, anyway. All of them.

Amen to that.

I wish there was a way to convince the Lefties that strictly Constitutional government benefited everyone. They could be free to implement all of the big government boondoggles they wanted to at the State level, in the states they control, and nothing would stop them from trying to create their utopia in California. We wouldn't need to moderate them anymore, we'd just pop some popcorn, sit back, and wait to say "Told ya so."

And there's no reason the blue states and red states couldn't be run according to the policy preferences of their residents, with us still being one nation, under such a government. More freedom, everyone wins.

Except the corrupt and the megalomaniacs.

The UN as I see it was a decent idea that went horribly, horribly wrong when the decision was made to let communists and other tinpot dictators join it. In other words, flawed right out of the box.

A country that isn't free having a vote in global affairs is something of a cruel joke, and guarantees that the world will be run according to the whims of the dictators.

The way I remember it, since both words start with 'w' -- is 'watch' with fewer letters, comes first. Conditions are favorable for a tornado to occur. Could be an all day long thing. Warning means they're actually seeing stuff on doppler that is moments away from being real bad.

But point taken. In a perfect world with President Sefton in office, the USA would withdraw from the UN, kick it's ass physically the hell out of here and form some sort of alliance with real democratic societies. Few and far between as they are.

Damn near everyone was on board at the end of WWII. None of the "free" world leaders saw any alternative, including Truman and the entire US government. How else could the world be transformed into a peaceful Utopia?

Remarkable, really, when you consider that the US Congress was less than enthusiastic about the League of Nations after WWI. That group didn't even include (IIRC) all the crappy third-world shitholes that filled up (and came to dominate) the UN.

I would be a hell of a lot happier if the US changed its motto from "E Pluribus Unum" to "Fuck You, Pay Me."

That's largely true when it comes to politics. If things are happening, it's because someone benefits from it, or is mad enough to think that what they're doing is for their benefit.

We went to see her yesterday, and when I walked into the hotel lobby I was greeted with a sign for the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission Job Fair. I've never see so many women wearing a niqab. The Saudis also paid to have no pork products served for the duration of their stay at the hotel. My cousin found this out when she went for breakfast and was served turkey bacon. Count yourself lucky. The fucking amber alert on the fucking phone went off at 2:30 in the fucking morning. It said that there is a fucking risk of flooding from all the fucking rain. I live on a hill. It is a problem in the winter when we get an ice storm but on the plus side, if I need to worry about floods, they will have already evacuated half of the DFW area. The local lakes are over their banks and nearby roads are under water. If somebody in a flood prone area is not aware of the danger of flooding, waking them up at 2:30 in the fucking morning is probably not going to do it.

At 5:30 they did another amber alert just in case people had gotten back to sleep after their last amber alert.

From now on, the phone will be on a charger in another room at night. I do not react well to being woken up in the middle of the night for no good reason.

I have seen too many Republicans -- including some here -- go into Democrat-style full-swoon mode over candidates, and gush breathlessly about them as if they were Jesus reincarnated. They babble and drool, and build their choices up to a totally unrealistic level.

Fun fact: If the Mets had beaten the Cardinals on the last day of the season, there would have been a three-way tie for first between the Cardinals, Reds, and Phillies. That has never happened, ever.

162 >>At 5:30 they did another amber alert just in case people had gotten back to sleep after their last amber alert.

Oh man.

We have the weather radio set up to tell us about not just here, but a few counties in eastern TX because the storms tend to come from there.

So I get Amber alerts from TX and OK sometimes. Didn't get this one, though.

My husband gets text alerts for weather and has gone over his text messaging allowance for the month!

There have been a couple times I've taken the batteries out of the weather radio.

Not to put words in his mouth, but I'm guessing JJ "Pollyanna" Sefton is imagining a post-Choom Boy United States in which intelligent, patriotic adults are again in charge.

181 One of my cousins was in town this week. She stayed
at the Gaylord over in National Harbor. We went to see her yesterday,
and when I walked into the hotel lobby I was greeted with a sign for the
Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission Job Fair. I've never see so many women
wearing a niqab. The Saudis also paid to have no pork products served
for the duration of their stay at the hotel. My cousin found this out
when she went for breakfast and was served turkey bacon. I was pissed on
her behalf.

Posted by: no good deed at May 24, 2015 08:09 AM (GgxVX)

I'd go to the local supermarket and buy a shitload of the precooked bacon and eat it in the middle of the damned lobby. Fuck them. I don't give a damn any more. AND, I'd get a refund on my hotel room. Or one hell of a reduction in price.
