Imam at Mosque Where Texas Shooter Prayed Warned His Flock... About the FBI Informant There to Keep Tabs on the Shooter

Now this is the sort of Free Speech I'm sure the left can get behind.

Stranahan here quotes the New York Times:

At the mosque they both attended, the Islamic Community Center of Phoenix, Mr. Deng stood out. Usama Shami, president of the mosque, said the young Sudanese man came to his attention because he did not seem to care much about Islam. He asked few questions about Islamic rituals and rarely engaged with others.

“He claimed to be a convert,” said Mr. Shami, an engineer of Palestinian heritage, “but he wasn’t interested in learning the faith, and that raised our suspicions.”

….

Mr. Sulaiman called Mr. Shami and other members of the mosque and warned them to be careful around Mr. Deng, saying he was probably an informant and out to get someone, Mr. Shami recalled.

And by now you've surely seen the AP suggesting that Geller should apologize for causing the deaths of two terrorists:

There may be more to that bit of venom, too:

Now I can't find Geller's actual tweet, just people screencapping her tweet, so maybe she's deleted it. I just don't know.

But if this is true... My God. My God.

Oh, and you will not believe how the New York Times is spinning this Typical Muslim Texan on the Street.

Update: I generally find this guy credible.

Posted by: mynewhandle at May 08, 2015 12:26 PM (AkOaV)

49 Look, I believe if people like the AP want to go to war over this we can do that.

We can publish their names and home addresses for the mobs. We can fight with equal disdain for their personal safety because they've put tribe over country and individual freedom. We don't want to, but since they fired the opening volley, we can return fire.

Is that what they want or are they betting it won't happen?

There seems to be an awful lot of liberals guessing that the other side won't use the same means, obfuscations of law and trampling of traditions they have used to wreak destruction.

Sure you want to make that bet guys?

We've made intellectual arguments which are demonstrably true and they've responded with propaganda. Then went they can't coerce people into the process with threats they publish of bunch of mindless disinformation.

We call that desperate despotism and an attempt at intimidation.

Nobody is amused or afraid newspaper weenies.

I take ISIS at their word, I think they have a bunch of Mama's Basement Boys and Girls all lined up and ready to go for a bunch of "terrorist" attacks. They don't care if all these American Yutes get mowed down by the police, FBI, DHS, or whomever--they get their bloody incident and that let's CAIR, et all, out of the bag to make their nasty little remarks about being disenfranchised, etc. It's all win win for ISIS, Americans die, Americans look both clueless and evil, and they recruit more MBBG's to throw their lives away in jihad. There is no downside for them--none.

As to Pam Geller, I completely and unequivocally support her right to free speech. Hell, if we have to listen to CAIR drone on and on about the wonders of Islam as free speech, then, a straight up poke in the eye to said Islam just tickles me.

The regime want to prevent terrorist attacks but not too save American lives. Rather, they want to prevent Americans to wake up and realize we live in a very dangerous world and there are many very bad people that would like to harm us. If there was another major attack the whole liberal worldview and happy talk about the "international community" would be exposed as just delusional liberal BS. Also it would expose the insanity of massive legal and illegal immigration from the third world. Americans waking up, if that is even possible, is the real danger to the progs running the country.

It would be a better world if there were any truth to the notion that conservatives will rise up and get physical. But we don't live on that planet.

166 Not that this distinction should even be necessary, but it concedes too much to even point out to "anti Islamophobia" types that we allow Nazis to march, or Klan pamphlets, etc.

To "cartoon" Mohammed, though of course head-chopworthy blasphemy under sharia is, by any non theologic-specific standard, the most gentle fun, and non person "hating" expression ( as opposed to "Death to America" or "Death to Infidels" which is practically a bromide in the Muslim worshipping world)

But I prefer the Ezra Levant defense as against the Candian "Human Rights Tribunal" that tried to shut him up: If accused of "offense" or "intent to offend" you should respond that regardless of what "intent" could possibly mean, or if there can be a true intent, you will accept that you intended offense to the maximum possible extent, but utterly reject anyone's legitimate right to curtail your offense. Period. End of story.

Just wanted to pass this along. Memory of a relative who passed away a couple years ago.
Had a cousin who was the tip of the spear in WWII. He landed at Normandy and was among the first into each town shown in Saving Private Ryan.
Set a then record for consecutive days in combat.
There was an ancient German church the Nazis had holed up in. We wouldn't bomb it and they couldn't shoot it up. So they waited until night and went in using only their bayonets. When a nazi fired a gun they would crawl toward the muzzle flash. Then they would jump up and stab, then throw themselves to the side to avoid being shot. My Cousin said he jumped up, stabbed...and hit the stone column the Nazi was behind.
Brave, brave men. We need more like them.

Paris (AP) - Violence marred the opening of the holiday summer season as armed American hooligans descended en masse on the picturesque Normandy tourist area. Locals said it was the worst outbreak of violence that they'd seen since 1918, as American youths battled with European holidaymakers over possession of the best beaches.

196 DLamp (if you edit out the crazed rants) stumbled on an important point. A lot of media are like that guy in Nightcrawler - scum sucking sociopaths who will fuck over anyone to get a "story".

And those are the GOOD ones. They're at least finding facts. The others gather facts and fact*oid*s and create a "narrative".

Why these guys get lauded as "journalists", and the average creep who breaks into peoples' privacy, reveals personal information, and sometimes makes sh!t up, is considered a menace... well, that distinction is made because we assume that journalists are ethical.

DLamp, autistic nutter that he is, observed that if journalists aren't ethical, then they're just peeping toms with press passes at best - spies of the enemy at worst.

He was criminally sane. Like Wonko in that Douglas Adams book

It's a good gun, but don't buy into the canard that you don't have to be accurate when using a shotshell. Also, the Judge uses .45 Long Colt, which is not the same as, and is more expensive than, .45 ACP. Plus, revolver - only six shots and slow to reload.

However, does anyone remember the interactive map of gun owners' addresses overlayed on google maps that a newspaper in westchester county, NY put out a few years ago?

Has anyone thought of doing a project like that but with media figures? And not necessarily front line reporters, but the producers and writers and people who put the scripts in the teleprompters?

I mean, the media told us they were just doing a public service by outing gun owners. So they couldn't get too upset if someone did it to them.

Because, yes I do think they get off on doxing people and outing them and trying to ruin peoples lives ... by inference, not by necessarily actively going after them.

271 183 Expenses are tight right now, but I think that maybe, just maybe, I need another gun, preferably something in a large caliber. A couple of friends own "The Judge", a 45 cal whose barrel can hold a 410 shotgun shell which, I think, might be good for home defense. No need to be that accurate. Kind of pricey, though.

Any suggestions from the Horde?

It's about an inch away from entrapment, and is not something I am entirely comfortable with.

Especially because a lot of these "terrorist" cases involve an FBI agent searching out and finding yutes, planting the idea in their mind, getting them everything they need to pull it off, then arresting them right before or right after they "detonate" the (fake) bomb.

If the FBI is doing all of the planning and procuring and the dumb yute is just following THEIR plan, that seems to me to cross the line from 'sting' to 'entrapment' but I'm not a lawyer, so...

300 That's not conspiring?

I think conspiracy has a pretty high level of requirement: it has to be detailed, specific, planned, and direct. Just going 'aiieeee let us slay the unbeliever" and throwing guns in your car to drive somewhere is enough to get you pulled in and questioned, but they can't arrest you for it (other than the guns, possibly).

At least, that's how I understand it. Certainly CAIR would hire the best lawyers possible to protect these guys so the FBI would want the best case they could get. Unfortunately I think law enforcement starts to see things in terms not of protect and serve but "can I win this case?" too often.

and he was acting funny going in and coming out, standing there looking around. Hell I was a young kid, innocent, but it looked odd to me. Of course I didn't say nuthin.

The cops raided the place being as it was a house of ill repute. We all got arrested; photographs were taken with a paragraph on the back of each one.

I wouldn't bring this up, but construction shut down, and I got drafted, and the Army put me in this company where you had to have a security clearance and they asked you 'have you ever been arrested'.

One of the best pistols I own is a commie surplus Polish Tokarev that cost me $250--and that includes the FFL transfer fee. It's accurate, powerful, reliable and--with the right holster configuration--easy to conceal because of its flat-ish profile. Comes to that, even one of those clunky High Point 9 mm or .45 ACP pistols, which sell for under $200, are good for home defense.

Point is, you don't need to spend a boodle to protect yourself and your family.

This is exactly right, but go one step further. Anyone on social media calling for violence needs to have their home address published as well, so they can enjoy what they call down on others.

That's where we park the truck. That's where my wife and I go out to the truck and trash barrels, frequently at night. I can at least scream like a bitch and fire blindly, but my wife can barely walk. She meets a feral hog in a mood and she's in extreme danger.

The jerkoff who banned him for it should be banned from here.

I think the reason was not his thought, but how he expressed it. As
in, its one thing to say the media is our enemy, another to say "climb
into a tower and shoot them"

For advice that bad he should have been banned. A tower is a lousy tactical choice...

353 #326 I really like my Yugo Tokarev (M57), even with the crap BATF safety I just don't use. Only thing I'd like to change now is the front sight, which the previous owner apparently tried to adjust with a carpenter's hammer. I'll probably get a taller "big" dot or fiber front sight and I won't even have to trim down the high rear.

I'm considering getting one of the new-manufacture ones from Zastava to have a set.

354 I was infatuated with the Judge for a while, too, but like most compromises it doesn't seem really well suited for any use you want to put it to.

Get anything .38 or bigger that you can shoot well and carry comfortably, use modern defensive ammo with it, and you'll be as well off as you can with a pistol.
