I'm basically just cruising on having written two decent posts on Tuesday.

I agree, Charlie Hebdo's stuff was just... juvenile and crappy art. I didn't mind the thumb in the eye of Muslims that they were giving but drawing Muhammad in the shape of a penis like a 9 year old using MS Paint is just weak sauce. There are several types of complaints about this though, they aren't all in one basket.
There's the fear complaint: "Isn't it dumb to do stuff that's going to anger psychos?"
There's the team player complaint "Who's doing this? Oh one of those reich wingers, ok then I'm opposed to it."
There's the multiculti complaint "Its hate speech to say something that upset the oppressed other"
And then there's the concern complaint "We have to be nicer, and not say mean stuff that reasonably upsets those poor dear lesser brown people."
They all end up in the same sort of position, for different reasons. Some have a bit more validity than others, but they're all ultimately misguided and in any case inappropriate right now.

well, thats what i was referring to. a lot of phones are backed up to the cloud, and teens dont appreciate what that would mean to dad or mom, and get bored living on base, or wherever a politicians kid ends up...and rebellious. You could really get a whistleblower spun up and cornered for a little while with the contents of some teenaged girls and boys phones.
It makes some inexplicable behaviour from people i was sure would speak out or vote differently make a little more sense. you can be blameless yourself, and still have plenty to be blackmailed with if you care about anyone at all. Especially if they are not completely in your control, very tech savvy, or preferably both.

The North is Labor. Poorer, less growth, more unemployement.
The South, and southeast (especially London and Greater London, are generally Tory. This is also the most populous part of the UK.
Scotland is really socialist-left (they're all on the dole, apparently) but they also want independence and give Labor the middle finger (there's a lot of that in Scotland). I don't know what's happened up there, but they're all useless YOBS, now. The modern Scots apparently think that independence from the UK will give them some magic mojo wealth. Dummies.
The Midlands are a bit of a mixed bag of Labor or Tory, generally Labor. Also the East (Wales and Cornwall). Although I think Cornwall tends to Tory.

But British politics are really "hothouse" populist democracy politics. The country has been going down hill for years, but could actually turn on a dime (politically) if people change their minds, which they just might.

Yes, I have Maxwell House coffer that still comes in cans & the cheapest one at grocery store 4 times per year to put two in freezer & one in fridge to get rid of smell. I open & date them & stir monthly & they work better than Baking Soda to get rid of freezer & ice smell.
I dump all ice 2 weeks apart & still smell old ice smell. One of my dr's told me about it 4-5 years ago.
I toss old grounds in garden. I wouldn't use them for coffee.
