Feds Now Threatening To Pull Public Schools' Funding Unless They Embrace Transsexualism

(CNSNews.com) – The U.S. Department of Education is demanding that the Fairfax County Public Schools, in the Virginia suburbs just outside Washington, D.C., "revise their non-discrimination policies to include gender identity" or risk losing the federal funds they receive for their schools.
The "nondiscrimination" would apply to transgender students and teachers.

It states: “The Office of Civil Rights (OCR) of the U.S. Department of Education is requiring that school divisions 1) revise their non-discrimination policies to include gender identity, and 2) hire a consultant to advise on revisions to regulations and, more generally how school divisions should handle individual cases of transgender students. If the School Board amends Policy 1450, we will be able to tell them that have already done the two things that OCR is requiring.”
“If FCPS refuses to amend its policy, OCR has the right to recommend the termination of federal funding to FCPS,” reads the memo from Superintendent Lockard. It then notes that the City of Alexandria Public Schools and the Arcadia School District in California were investigated by the OCR and had to enter into resolution agreements with the OCR over the transgender policy.

The OCR is also the organization, by the way, that is forcing colleges to adopt "affirmative consent" rules and to take away all due process rights for males (and males only) charged under their Fake Rape Courts.

104 I had to help someone out this past weekend. She/he/other had to navigate three separate govmint web sites for little more then a slight chance at a job. Each site was pathetic and took 10X longer then it should have. But at least they had 'pick boxes'. Each site had the choice of male/female/other.

We're to the point governors need to start "breaking" the law. When the Feds show up, arrest them. Then give them bail, drive them to the state border and drop them off. If the Feds give them grief, I think the local Federal building will suddenly have several code violations that require it to be closed for a few weeks. Vehicle checkpoints at the garage exit. Anything to make their lives miserable. If the court orders it stopped, ignore it.

214 I think states need to start finding ways to pare back their dependence on federal dollars. Cut salaries of leadership/governor/legislators etc. Cut some extra programs like midnight basketball, watering the capitol lawns quite so much, the hot tubs in the capitol building, etc. Trim back the fat til it hurts and fund the stuff that they need to and start turning down federal funding.

Its the only way the 10th amendment has a chance. And its the only future for the union. We have no republic unless the states rebel in a gentle sort of way, because otherwise they're being forced into actions the people hate and fear by a tyrannical federal government.

Actually I had them whine to me that putting the good kids in private schools makes their job harder, as they have no good examples. But, if I were to send them to the local public mission school (62% English as a second language), they would be put in the Honors program immediately just for speaking English and taught seperately most of the day.,

They can refuse based on that legal precedent and sue the feds for any funds retracted. But they won't.

238 It seems like States should not be able to borrow thru the federal grubermint funding loophole unless the Federal government has a generationally balanced, deficit free budget.

When the States are coerced into accepting Federal money for doing things the "Federal way" it's like the State is printing money from the labor of future generations. That's wrong -- State's shouldn't be allowed to do borrow from future generations thru Federal promissory notes (bribes). It's wrong for States to accept that bribe.

This is huge a generational budgeting loophole that violates the 'preserving liberty to our posterity' principle of the Constitution as defined in the Preamble.

It might be different if the Federal Government had no debts and deficits, plus a balanced budget. But that's like total fantasy land -- it's far from our current federal fiscal reality.
