It Looks Like Social Justice Warriors Chased the Social Justice Warrior Joss Whedon Off Twitter, And That's Just Terrific

I don't really like Joss Whedon, who's had way too much praise for simply being superficially clever.

And I don't like that this asshole was constantly promoting Social Justice Attacks on other people.

So, if he was indeed chased off of twitter by the constant Social Justice Warrior attacks on him -- ridiculous shit, like that he didn't make Black Widow badass enough or whatever nonsense spoiled and useless Western White Women are throwing their hysterical jags about this week -- then I just have to laugh about it and say "Life is good."

John Sexton shows you some of the abuse he got from the Tumblrinas and assorted other Hate Groups.

No sir, they are not like the Tea Party at all. The Tea Party attempts to enforce their political will on their elected political representatives, which is not only permissible, it is well-nigh necessary, unless Patton Oswald is one of those imbeciles who thinks politicians go to Washington to Do the Right Thing For People and Stuff.

The Social Justice Warriors, on the other hand, are simultaneously more trivial and more profoundly disturbing: They do not attempt to whip-saw the elected members of the political class, but instead pick out random airplane passengers, random computer programmers, random pizzeria owners, and so own to drive them from their jobs and homes for no other reason than to show That The Herd Is Angry At Them.

It is one thing to politicize politics, which is what the Tea Party is accused of doing -- why, those crazies are trying to inject their ideological preferences into government and party platforms! The scandal of it it!

But the SJWs are politicizing everything; everyone is their potential target, for no other reason than that undiagnosed hysterics need someone to SHRIEK at everyday or the snakes inside their heads will eat all their brains.

The Tea Party attempts to purge wayward politicians.

This isn't scary, unless you're a politician, and while that might indeed by scary for a tiny handful of people in the world, it is imperative in a democracy that politicians be afraid of being turned out of office.

The media used to moan about how sick it was that so many politicians had their seats for life, never having to worry about being responsive to the people, until the very moment a committed conservative group started turning some of them out of their Seats For Life, at which point Politicians became a Protected Minority.

Now, while the Tea Party purges politicians , the social justice warriors purge everyday citizens.

Note that we are supposed to have a political vote as to whether Politician X keeps his job. That is the basis of democracy.

But we're not supposed to have a national plebescite over whether Justine Sacco should be fired and driven from society, or whether the family that owns Memories Pizza should be driven into bankruptcy.

In case you wonder why I am as mean as ever to politicians, while being a crusader against political smear campaigns directed at citizens:

Because it's fair and normal and expected to use political campaigning in political campaigns, but it is aberrant, Stalinist, and Salem-like to begin using political campaign tactics -- whipsawing opinion, planting smears, ginning up emotion, calling for people to be un-elected from their jobs -- as to non-political actors.

But to the Social Justice Warriors, for whom the Personal Is Political and so too is the Political the Personal, there is no distinction between the public and private sphere, and all the viral hatred that is common in political campaigns is applied to personalized Coordinated Hate Campaigns against lonely citizens having no means whatsoever of fighting back or of delivering their own counter message out to the world.

American citizens should in fact have a say as to whether Eric Cantor keeps his post as a United States Congressman; they should not have a say as to whether Justine Sacco gets to keep her job in advertising.

The first is a matter of public trust, for which people get to vote.

The latter is not.

But the Social Justice Warriors are, as I say, both so trivial that they will go after Justine Sacco precisely because she is such an unimportant and defenseless target, and thus more easy to remove the scalp from her head; and an absolute menace to peaceful order in society, because society cannot function with roving bands of lunatics attacking average, ordinary citizens virtually at random for sport.

What shocks me is that people do not put two and two together here, and realize how toxic, insane, and full of bad faith and daddy-didn't-love me venom these shrieking harpies are, even when the harpies wrath has been turned against them.

Joss Whedon will continue attacking GamerGaters, and praising Anita Sarkosian, completely forgetting that Sarkosian's fellow travelers made his life hell by making up one preposterously hateful charge after another.

Likewise, a year or so ago, the Social Justice Warriors mobbed up on Seth Rogan, making the silly charge that this Fat Smug Liberal was "anti-woman" because the character he played in Knocked Up started the film as irresponsible as regards women. (They completely miss the point that his dramatic arc has him become responsible at the end.)

Rogen roared back at them, telling them to go fuck themselves.

And yet, six months later, when the same shrieking lunatics were after Adam Baldwin, Seth Rogan actually tweeted to Baldwin that he was an Anti-Woman bigot. His evidence? The shrieking Social Justice Warriors had told him so -- the same people who had lodged absurd charges at he himself just a half year before.

But this is the way liberals work -- tribal loyalty is everything to them, and they assume that every calumny their fellow liberals throw at an outsider must be true. (I think this is due to ego: they think that as they are themselves liberals, and egotistically believe themselves to be honest and just in all things, they extend a weaker form of this egotism to their fellow travelers.)

And so Seth Rogan, onetime target of Social Justice Warrior slander, attacked Adam Baldwin for standing up to the Social Justice Warriors, telling him something like, "Well, if they're all mad at you, you must have done something, so get right with the Leftist Gods and apologize."

It just didn't occur to this fat sack of lipids that they might be making stuff up about Baldwin, too.

Sort of a variant of the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect -- you know reporters are useless when you read an article making an embarrassing hash of everything in your field of expertise, but then you turn the page to read them writing about other fields, and you assume, "These guys probably know what they're talking about here."

And so Joss Whedon, who so gleefully embraces Social Justice Warrior attacks on others, has now himself, perhaps, been purged by the Social Justice Warriors.

And it will make no difference.

Because the next time Anita Sarkesian tells him that Adam Baldwin is a bigot, Joss Whedon will be right there beside his Valkyrie, handing her her next spear.

For a man who makes his living in the arts, whose livelihood hinges on free speech, to endorses a leftist, any leftist, is beyond idiocy. What makes these smart people so stupid, so blind to the manifest authoritarian hatred for free speech of leftists?

Unfortunately, a ton of people want to be close to the warm glow of fame, so they flatter, and the poor egos of the celebrities can't take it, so they go off and claim they can solve world hunger or AIDS or start demanding the removal of the Kulaks or whatever.

These smaller species are known for an alleged tendency to invade and parasitise the human urethra however, despite ethnological reports dating back to the late 19th century,
the first documented case of the removal of a candiru from a human

Even if every Conservative on the Right disengaged from society (except to show up to work, drive on the highway, and pay your bills), it would still burn. It's burning now.

The people obsessed with personal attacks on Twitter, on blogs, everywhere....are not going to give up, have a personal revelation, change their ways. It's burning, with or without us. They'll look for anybody to scapegoat, humiliate, attack with anonymous abuse.

At this point, people are asking "What do we do to stop this, to save our country...?" Nothing. It's too late. It's 40 years too late. We were fooled by the Reagan interregnum. We thought we'd turned a corner.

Prepare for the worst. Prepare for French Revolution worst. If a Republican (heh) was actually elected in 2016 as President, even the biggest squish imaginable (Jeb, or Rubio, or Christy), it would just accelerate the coming conflagration.

And they all pretty much agreed and moved on to the next nihilistic point. It's fun to watch them denounce each other when someone speaks a non-agreed upon truth.

So your personal beliefs are just that, and if you deviate, you''ll be
lucky if you're just criminalized and put in prison. They may just
shoot you out of hand. It can't happen here? It's already happening.

This is the world we live in now. Be aware, be prepared.

Trust in God, but be prepared. Think this is grim, depressing? It is. I wish I could see the end of it, but it will get worse. I will live to see it get much worse, but I have my doubts if I will live through it.

166 >>>for no other reason than to show That The Herd Is Angry At Them.

Oh it is so far more sinister than that though. They have to continually attack and claim scalps so that they continually sow fear. It is the fear of themselves that they want. Fear that compels others to either comply or shut up.

I've often thought, if I were to ever issue a warning to a potentially hostile group of aliens, how would I convince them attacking Earth was a bad idea? I would take photos and footage of our modern age atrocities, bodies stacked up like cordwood, people buried alive, people being burned, raped, dismembered and say, "This is the one species, the human family all related from only 5000 years ago, look what we do to each other. You aren't even human; imagine what we will do to you"

Viciously attacking their own, serves its dark purpose of perpetuating fear so that the space of public ideas can be controlled.

As far as Whedon, he's made a pungent mistake to leftists. He was given charge of a hugely popular media enterprise that is loved by kids. And he hasn't turned it into the unwatchable SJW screedfest like he was supposed to. Whedon's ultimate offense is simply made up. It could have been anything. It's just a substitute for the general hate crime, "not screedy enough".

The thing I forgot to add was that local govts had stopped fixing roads like 5-6 years ago just so they could hold us hostage on this issue. The roads are so bad right now that they literally have a graphic showing the average damage done to cars annually, juxtaposed with a graphic on how much the average person would pay in increased taxes.

So they are saying, "Look either you pay for tires and alignment, or pay the extra tax.... Oh and I forgot.... It's safer for the kids"

I HATE that bullshit. Oh it's just a cent? Why of course I support it. Who wouldn't support increasing it by just a measly cent. You want schools and highways, don't you? It's just a cent after all.

No assholes. It's not a cent. It's 1%. And it's on top of the 6 or 7 or 8 percent that exists already. Which means it's really a 15% increase in your overall sales tax burden. The $20,000 car's tax foes from $1400 to $1600. That's $200 extra, not quite the same as a cent, is it?

But it's never presented like that. Nope. Just 1 cent. And the idiotic LIVs fall for it each and every time.

It feels a little frustrating that a site like Salon that I used to
always go to for great news, great commentary, did turn into a
caricature of what a lot of really dumb conservatives used to say it
was. That's really disturbing to me because I don't want it to be. And
I've been saying this over and over again.

The fact that
those "dumb conservatives" were astonishingly prescient in no way

288 I see the same thing with a lot of gamergate supporters who are centrist, leftist, or largely apolitical. They just offhandedly use the Tea Party as their go to example of the right's SJWs, with no specific grievance referenced. They talk about the "horseshoe theory" of politics, and how the extreme left is identical to the extreme right. I couldn't even say what they base this perception of the Tea Party on. I mean, even if you're mad that a lot of them have some funny theories about Obama's birthplace, in a practical sense they're not really doing anything different than Jon Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity (other than probably littering less). They've noticed that the MSM is hostile and lying to them in light of gamergate, but those lies from the MSM that they've already incorporated into their worldview are sticking with them. They love Milo and Adam Baldwin, but they still picture 30 second Fox News clips on the Daily Show when they think of conservatives generally.

i like batman's rogues, but honestly, when you get past "The Joker," the list starts getting thin.

Sure, there are some good ones -- Scarecrow... R'as al Ghul... Um... I guess that's about it.

Just because you can NAME batman's rogues doesn't make them great. Penguin is not a great villain, nor the riddler, nor Bane (come on), nor Killer Croc, nor Mad Hatter.

I mean, they're FINE, don't get me wrong, but they're not clearly superior to, say, Spiderman's rogues.

Spiderman's rogues are also kinda lame once you get through the first couple. Green Goblin, sure, Doc Ock... um okay. But then you just get into the Animal Mix-and-Match villains, your Scorpions, your Rhinos.

I would say batman and spiderman have the *best* rogues-- but most of their villains are just gimmicky opponents, just tomato cans with a Schtick and nothing else. They're *fine,* but most villains of other heroes are "fine," too. They're just not as well known.

In one hilarious comments exchange, someone pointed out that Rhiana's (sp?) outfit was probably constructed from dog fur.
This kicked off a batshit insane fight about accusing the Chinese of eating dogs, (which they do) vs. the reality that their designers have been caught using dog fur over and over.
One commenter told the other it didn't matter that she was referencing the dog fur controversy because people might infer she meant the eating of dog meat, which is "insensitive stereotyping".
It was madness.

I think Joss while an Leftist ass, realized that all of the Leftist plots are cliched, tired, old, and crap, and not particularly suited a western-themed piece.

He probably thought in his little skull that he had hit on something so original no one of any political vein could claim it as a ideological branch.

I think his choice of non-Leftist plots is entirely his own fooling of himself.

Think about it he is a malformed child of the very same privileged Gotham Posh set Bruce is, rejected by that society when his overprotective mother dies and their prized aviary is repossessed by the bank he uses his high tech "utility umbrella" set to pursue a path to avariciousness based revenge on society at large and the people of Gotham through rackets corruption.

It is an almost seamless inversion of Bruce the perfect child who lost both loving parents choosing largely to reject the posh society that was unable/unwilling to effect the changes needed for his city to thrive in the face of the corruption and vice extant.

Like I said the (admittedly) few times it has been written well he is in the plane just below the Joker....

(whom you know I adore)

yeah but that list i gave you are all villains who are parodies/twisted reflections of wayne in one way or another

several have the kink where like, rather than seeing their parents murdered, they murdered their parents. Hush killed his parents. I think maybe Black Mask killed his dad Either way, Black Mask has wayne-like daddy issues.

His dad died too, either due to him killing him, or someone else doing it.

I agree about Young Adult, it is very good but if you have an issue with watching people embarrass themselves then you need to watch through your fingers.

I give Diablo Coby credit for being brutal in writing about herself and Charlize Theron credit for playing a character without trying to make her redeemable.

In a weird way, it reminds me of what Cameron Diaz did in Bad Teacher in playing a character who is just awful without trying to make her sympathetic at all.

He seems to be easy to yank back into reality, as long as someone is there to yank.

Otherwise he gets the keys to Twitter and starts talking about denying medicine to his political enemies and blah blah blah blah blah.

they can re-write it. Wait, I think I saw the commercial -- they've added a young robin into it as a major character. (Well... I guess he sorta was, but this one is like "BATMAN AND ROBIN: SOCIETY OF OWLS.")

I think that might be okay because of the rewriting. The "Red Hood" comic was kinda The Suck but they made a damn fine movie out of it.

OTOH, they did a faithful version of the Justice League team up, the one with Cyborg, and like I said it was really faithful, which was too bad because the original comic sucked Solomon Grundy's decaying cock.

I think they also did what I assume was a faithful "flashpoint" which also sucked

Eh. I have hopes they'll have rewritten the owls thing. the owls are visually decent villains, and the ambiance, I guess, is sorta good.

the problem is this, really: COMIC BOOKS SUCK.

I got a 12 inch tablet so I could download comics and read them on it without any problems. MAJOR investment, $700, or close to it. And i don't even read comics.

Marvel did this storyline where PETER PARK DIED FOREVER (spoiler alert: peter parker did not die forever) and Doc Ock put his consciousness into Peter Parker's body, and tried to impose the ultimate defeat on Parker, by living Parker's life better than he could (finally getting his Ph.D., for example) and being a much better Spider-Man.

The run was called "The SUPERIOR Spider-Man."

It was pretty fun! It was sometimes funny, as "Spider-Man" -- really the villain Doc Ock -- would say obviously-villainous things. Like, trying to get by panicking civilians, he'd shout, "Out of my way, you thick-witted cows!"

I don't know what he said. Let me put it this way: He would say things, as "Spider-Man," that sounded like Dr. Smith from Lost in Space. Just funny.

I did like those comics.

534 Sometimes one has to laugh at the irony's in life.

The left championed (and still does more or less) the down trodden and praised them for their sometimes pointless fight against the forces of evil (meaning the rich people) and sometimes actually winning (only in the stories though).

But in real life they're the biggest bunch of money grubbing, torture using, obey or die rules for everything and everybody (except . . them), applause and knob gobbling for those who've made it big by stealing from the people and fcuking over anyone who gets in their way and taking foreign money while claiming poverty that could ever have been imagined in a comic book of 40 years ago.

Yet they seem totally unaware of this split personality they exhibit. Even to each other.

I remember I once got a "Man-Thing" comic that had me leery of mud puddles for weeks....

we all had our crosses to bear.

One neat thing was during the "Fall of the Mutants" Longshot lost his powers b/c he had interesting thoughts on what he'd like to do to Rogue and Dazzler.....

he started screwing up EVERYTHING b/c if your luck ain't good it must be bad...

luckily no joke there were some babies in opld school carriages being threatened by demons and "gotta save the babies" bam his powers were back.

Well, actually the common thread was the KGB infiltration and psy ops against the west at the time. Because that's all they had.

They knew then that we could kick their ass militarily. That's why they spent so much time and money on arms to 3rd world countrys because they knew we'd be reluctant to bring out the heavy stuff over a banana republic/rubber republic.

The PLO is directly derived from the Liberation Theology invented by the Russians to undermine the US in 3rd world countries and the Catholic Church.

595 i like batman's rogues, but honestly, when you get past "The Joker," the list starts getting thin.

Posted by: ace at May 05, 2015 08:51 PM

But Batman is rather different, though it's part of the DC verse? Batman isn't superpowered and IIRC, most of Batman's villain don't have "powers" either. I love the old Batman villains even if they're not worldshakers, they're horses for the Batman course. Superman is Superman, so the villains are kinda hamstrung by Superman, no matter how threatening they may be. X-Men arguably has the strongest villains. Less well known generally than Batman's, but, pretty interesting and rather formidable. At least some are. Magneto, Apocalypse, Mr.Sinister et al.

Twitter has these daily attacks on people by SJW's and Oswalt only notices when they attack a fellow SJW like Whedon, and then Oswalt weirdly mentions the Tea Party as being equivalent. I remember a guy who worked at a computer company tweeting that he thought the Donald Sterling thing was a little overblown and that it was a private conversation and then he lost his job. This is the kind of crap that Oswalt should be mad about; Whedon, lile Ace said, sees himself as a SJW, and he chose to quit twitter (again) because the SJW's directed some hate his way. The SJWs have a place in DSM-V. Every single one of them.

The rest are merely deluded, absorbing their local moral atmosphere. Patton Oswalt, certainly, and Whedon, maybe, are in the latter category. No true SJW would ever publish a "hey, wait, this boilerplate Leftist opinion doesn't make sense" article.

He'll even looking up stuff on Wikipedia is more interesting than actually reading the comics. I think it's because they've been around for so long that there is a lot of content so the makers of the movies TV shows etc can pick and choose the gems of the stories to adapt and make changes to flow better and cut out crap and ten issues of filler that happened between the start of the story and the climax.

Social justice is just a code word for people agitating for some form of collectivism. Activists are the people mouthing off or agitating for this sort of thing.

RetroTV plays MST3K and Doctor Who (the good years).

MeTV plays Twilight Zone and Star Trek (the good years), Lost In Space, Night Gallery, and etc.

And there's also AntennaTV and a few other old movie channels in my local market on the digital subchannels.

Broadcast is almost as good as the old days when UHF channels used to run all those great reruns when I was a kid.
