Fundamental Concepts - Eff Off [Weirddave]

The idea behind Fundamental Concepts has always been that these posts would serve as a kind of political copybook heading, not a pithy saying, but something meant to convey basic American values and, well, fundamental concepts. These last few weeks for some reason have been politically very draining, and it's been harder and harder to think of subjects. We've seen instance after instance where the most egregious violations of American sovereignty and law have been trampled, times when our culture has been debased and our traditional values trampled. I know, it has ever been thus, but somehow it seems worse lately, and this week I figured out why:

Because nobody seems to care.

That's not true. I know that's not true, and so do you, but we're made to believe through the media that we're alone. We're not, and what it is time to do is push back, but we can't push back using our preferred methods. Most of us are here on the right because we value logic and reason over the raw emotionalism of the left. That means that we tend to want to construct long, detailed arguments to prove our points, and as a general rule in a fair debate we destroy the left on the merits of our argument. This reinforces our bias towards intellect over emotion, and we congratulate ourselves that we've proven our point. Now things will surely change!

Except they don't. Know why?

Nobody's listening.

Why is nobody listening? Well, first of all, our coldly logical arguments never get to them. The media cuts and edits and castigates to reinforce their relentlessly leftist point of view so that our arguments never get through. Secondly, many people don't care about well reasoned logical arguments. We live in an age of instant gratification. Like it or not, it's a Vine world out there. Finally, our side has been so demonized that many LIVs won't even bother to listen to what we're saying, dismissing us out of hand.

So what's the solution? The solution is “eff off”.

We have to stop granting the left, and especially the activist left, the SJW types, the courtesy of treating them as if they are legitimate. We need to tell them to eff off. We need to stop debating and start dismissing. Most of what they are saying is so stupid and flimsy that it NEEDS the prop of our treating it seriously to lend it the mantle of legitimacy.

Now obviously I'm not talking about treating serious policy or foreign affairs issues cavalierly. Of course adult subjects need to be treated in an adult manner. There is so much clutter and noise over stupid, inconsequential shit that we need to stop wasting our time responding to it. The entire point of most of this stuff is to keep us distracted and to maneuver us into a position where we can be cast as haters or villains.

What kind of stuff am I talking about? Well, basically, anything that The Political Hat links from social media.

“I'm a dragon-kin, I demand that you respect my draconic traditions!”

No, you're not. Eff off.

“Oh, your belly dancing is cultural appropriation !”

Eff off.

“That's your white privilege talking!”

Eff off, I have the same privilege as you do, I'm a free American.

“You're fat shaming!”

Eff off and eat a salad once in a while.

“I can't stand these micro aggression from you”

How about a macro aggression? Eff off.

And so on. All of this stuff stems from three impulses:

1) A desire to assume unearned moral superiority – I'm better than you
2) A desire to assume unearned prominence – I'm more important than you
3) A desire for attention – Look at me! Aren't I special?

That's what they're looking for. Don't give it to them. Don't play their game, refuse to acknowledge that their game even exists. I just realized it right this second, but this is exactly what Breitbart did, and it drove them NUTS! They're yapping on about the oppression of the 1% and he's screaming “STOP RAPING PEOPLE!” in their face. He popped their bubble. He refused to acquiesce to their assumptions. He pointed out the reality they were purposefully attempting to ignore. Imagine how Andrew would have handled the VA frat rape hoax or the reaction to Christina Hoff Sommers' speech.

Be Breitbart. And have fun with it. The meltdowns from the special snowflakes when you refuse to grant them what they assume is theirs by right of their magnificence are AWESOME.

21 The left is pro-occupied with other issues. DO what I do and on occasion read Kos or TPM, and you'll see. They aren't at all interested in the decline of western civilization, the end of liberty and the enslavement of all sorts of people in victim politics.

They're very concerned with Jon Stewart arguing with Judith Miller, whom he blames for starting the Iraq war. They are in a complete dither over the prospective end to ZeroCare subsidies at SCOTUS, the unequal treatment of Baltimore thugs versus rich people drinking in public at a horse race, and other similarly inane things.

I spend a lot of time in Princeton, NJ, and I still see plenty of cars with Obama stickers. Talking to people in NYC and Philly, I still hear dumb statements about how great it is America can elect an African American as President. Superficiality rules the left. And broad swathes of America too.

Most people spend about 5 minutes a week thinking about politics. That is how the SJWs and others of the left are able to get away with their bullshit. Most people are not paying attention.

By talking with LIVs, you are actually resist the efforts of the left, which is the default message of TV, newspapers and most of the culture. Don't stop. Planting a few seeds of doubt about the left wing narratives among otherwise uninterested voters is probably one of the most useful things you can do.

The people you need to tell to fuck off are the SJWs, the leftist drama queens and the people of the left who's minds are made up and will not be convinced. That is just a waste of your time and all it does is raise your blood pressure. Those people deserve to be ridiculed and humiliated.

26 Popular entertainment, especially TV, has made people irrational. In almost everything broadcast (even if it is "conservative", or supports some traditionally sound idea), has, at it's root, irrationality.

TV really came into popular being in the early '50's. Most adults at that time had the personalities and character already formed. I am old enough to remember life in the 50's and early 60's, and it was not as irrational as it is now. Sure some things are better, some things culturally have improved. But the overall culture is worse; people dress like slobs, act like slobs, ridiculous things are popular, etc, etc. Because people have been sold on "this is what everyone does" by imitating mass media, ie, TV and movies.
There are people who are fully formed adults that have no notion of life without the influence of mass media. It reinforces all this arcane madness that makes people assert all this idiotic nonsense that is outside of rational reality.
The country has gotten so wealthy, that people can indulge their madness and irrationality without it hampering their survival. Yet.

When or if that changes (and it could, soon), then things will change. Telling idiotic children in adult bodies to "fuck off" will likely just get you ostracized, although it may be satisfying. There's a lady at my work who is starting to grate on my nerves about stuff like this, and frankly, if I told her to eff -off, I would get fired.

OSP is right. Just cut out most of the nonsense people from your life. If you can.

I really think that it is better to distinguish between people who don't pay much attention and the aggressive left wing assholes.

My normal reply to left wing inanity being repeated by somebody who heard it somewhere and is just repeating "received wisdom" is to say something on the line of "I don't think you are stupid enough to believe that".

I'm talking about numbers, percentages, sources, etc. Don't do it aggressively, do it as if you're genuinely interested in what they're saying. 9 times out of 10 these people haven't considered the issue carefully enough to know any facts. They'll splutter for awhile, and all you have to do is stand there and smile indulgently. Eventually, they'll make up some BS but you both know they lost and look foolish. Even better is when there are others around to witness the humiliation.

This strategy is for professionals only. IOW, you DO have to some actual facts yourself.

If you try to press them on logic or reason, they simply come back with memorized lines about being only for rich white people and laugh. Not only have they never been taught in logic and rhetoric, they consider it stupid. That's as far as they go. The only ones with the capacity to think and speak rationally are some of the home schooled guys, and while they're going to be the frustrated, long-suffering bosses of the others, that doesn't help anyone in the country while these fools vote.

We're at the point where it takes too long just to get to the point you can begin to have a rational discussion with these fools that it simply isn't worth it. You can't start out with the facts, you have to push them mentally and intellectually to the point they admit that there even is such a thing as a fact, and that it matters.

That we got to this point so fast and so broadly is something I'm unable to even comprehend. Its like a wave of madness swept across our culture and has left a few people standing and trying to comprehend how to survive. Its a virtual zombie apocalypse, with a few tough people surrounded by shuffling mindless creatures that consume everything around them without producing, on the expectation that the rest of us will keep it up.

Everyone here semi-jokes about a collapse and the fall of civilization, but I'm totally convinced we're on the crumbling edge of that abyss, right now. And the end will come faster than anyone expects.

The main problem is still the MSM. Political candidates, for a huge example, have to buy airtime to reach the LIVs. And while they have the reach, it's hard to not give them some legitimacy just because of that very reach.

I saw a Drudge headline this week that said young people don't trust the media to be honest, with just 2% fully believing they are. The worm is turning, but slowly. The stranglehold is cracking, so stop feeding them where you can.

McCain was pressured into her as his VP because it would "balance the ticket" but what he never expected was for her to be such a very effective speaker and campaigner. No, my problem was the press. They sent 10 times as many people to cover the VICE PRESIDENTIAL candidate as the president, and did it nonstop with a new attack every single day to destroy her at all costs. They went beyond bias and a personal interest in the race to total full-out deliberate and systematic libel, personal destruction, and conspiracy. It was unbelievable to watch.

But they had to. The day that Palin was added to the ticket, McCain's numbers started going up. He passed Obama in all polling info and they had to stop him and prevent Palin from being elected. By this point she'd have the experience and political savvy to run a very good campaign for president. That speech terrified the left. They pulled out all the stops.

And to this day, the right bought into it eventually. You get the same retarded crap pouring out of the mouths and keyboards of people who lean right as leftists because it was so effective.

Again, Palin's not my choice. I think she's mostly fluff, a Republican Obama with better policies. I think her conservatism is not innate, that its second nature. But she would have been amazingly effective as a politician for the right, if she hadn't been so perfectly obliterated.

You don't have to live there and farm it to derive economic benefit from your 40 acres. For example, the people lucky enough to get 40 acres in ANWR can lease the right to drill for oil. In fact, everybody can lease that right if somebody thinks that there are worthwhile minerals on the land. There is lots of federal land that is leased for grazing to ranchers. The new owners can probably work out a similar deal. There is lots of government forest land. The new owners can lease out rights to cut timber on the land or they can borrow against the timber or they can sell the land outright. It is private property.

Well, sure. The thing is that the goal is not to make black people happy. There will always be people complaining about something. Give out the 40 acre sections in a lottery. Make sure to include ANWR and the Staircase/Escalante reserve with the low sulfur coal that Clinton locked up for a bribe from some Indonesian billionaire.

Sure, there will be plenty of folks who get land that is not worth much. There will also be plenty who get 40 acres that has enough minerals to make the owners rich but who will not be able to use those minerals because government environmentalists will not let them. I know what story the mainstream media is going to push but I can also figure out what narrative is likely to move through the black communities. Both of them will probably blame Republicans. BUT it is a plain denial of reality (secular or otherwise) to call a man a woman, and sick to demand that everybody call a man a woman. Bruce Jenner's problem is his mental health, not his plumbing. It is my job as a Christian to pray for him and not mistreat him.

Similar situation with marriage -- it is a complementary relationship. Men and women are equal but not interchangeable. Opposite-sex partnerships and same-sex partnerships are not equivalent. We are being asked to use the term "marriage" for a relationship that lacks the necessary ingredients. We are being asked to deny the reality that these are fundamentally different types of relationships. This has been achieved by reducing the marriage contract to nothing more than the formalization of one person's attachment to another.

I have a job and I have a life. I do not spend 24/7 on this blog. I do not care about other topics because they do not affect me (being from abroad I am not affected by illegal immigrants to the USA). Obamacare does not affect me and I have lived in 4 different EU countries with socialized healthcare so I can correct some statements about what I know.

The fags however, are following the same pattern all over the world and so far USA had to succumb because only USA have "accommodation laws", however the propaganda pattern is the same everywhere, the gender identity classes have been attempted everywhere, even in countries where you cannot homeschool.

Why do you find strange that I am selective in the topics I reply to? I hate the hypocrisy of most people that one hand they think big anus is going too far but at the same time they are in favour of all the pre-requisite factors that lead to this disaster.

I bet in the 40s there were some Europeans that thought well of German people and that "if only the majority of honest germans had known, they would have stepped in bla bla".

No, the "good germans" did nothing. As the "good gheys" are doing nothing.
