35 I been willowed!

Insty has a fairly long post (for him)-

that concludes the Supreme Court is about to bless gay marriage because "marriage is between two people" (not one man, one woman)

and given that reasoning the door will be thrown open for any other "two people marriages" (cousins, child/adult, etc)

And extrapolating from that he suggests polygamy will be next because -why is marriage just between two people?

So, the strongest, oldest institution with the longest, most successful record for protecting mothers and children is about to be flushed down the toilet-

by nine unelected men and women.

Yay?

The city of Biloxi gave permission to chop down 19 of our beautiful oaks to build a minor league baseball stadium; said stadium is now being called a boondoggle with an original budgeted cost of $21 million and a price tag at last count of $36 million and rising.

All according to plan. Obama's former "nudge" czar, Cass Sunstein, was making the case for polygamy over a decade ago as a natural progression from ssm. The whole "there is no slippery slope w/same-sex marriage, wingers" was an intentional lie.

105 Just now was reading an article at 538 on the chances the SCOTUS will interpret the ZeroCare act as it was written (King vs. Burwell), instead of how the administration wishes it were written (depending on what day of the week it is).

If that case fails, why have a legislature at all? If the executive can write laws himself, whimsically, whats the point of elections?

Roberts and his little cabal think they are political referees, I suppose, or maybe they're afraid of what TFG will do to them if he loses.

They ought to be more concerned about what the country will think of them, as they referee the establishment of totalitarianism.

Yup, the sexual revolution, abortion, and feminism were not about liberating womyn, they were about making womyn dependent on the Government rather than the matriarch of her own household. The single most dependent group of women in the US are poor Black women who saw their men neatly popped out of their households and replaced by Government benefits in ghetto housing. As a bonus, without strong male role models, this made young Black men into little more than sperm donors who find family identity in gangs. So we have Ferguson, Baltimore, Watts, Miami, et al. It's going to get worse and worse--without dignity, hope, and morals, how can a class of people better themselves. Next up, Hispanic Americans...

120 Insty has a fairly long post (for him)-
that concludes the Supreme Court is about to bless gay marriage because "marriage is between two people" (not one man, one woman)

It's actually not Insty. It's Elizabeth Price Foley who wrote the post.

Not that I don't think Roberts will strip the Constitution into little toilet paper-sized pieces in order to sate the baying of 2% of the population with overweening Daddy issues.
Posted by: Mary Poppins' Practically Perfect Piercing at April 28, 2015 10:48 AM

Why is it between two people? Who says that is the definition since we are changing the definition given for thousands of years?
It should be whatever we want it to be. Two or three or four people, brother sister, dad and daughter, etc.
Why not do away completely with the entire legal definition of marriage? If people want a legal arrangement, let them go to a lawyer and draw up a contract? No licenses, nothing. No justice of the peace, no ship captain marriage, no getting married in the court clerks office, nothing.
Which means no court ordered child support, no tax benefits, nothing.

Like Obama, I've evolved on this. Since our courts are about to completely overrun our representative voting system, in which the people of a state vote to include language in the constitutions of those states defining marriage and replace it with a wider definition, why have a definition at all? Because all this new defintion will do is lead to more court cases of wanting to have polygamy, child marriages, etc. Let's skip all that and the cost and strife associated with it and get rid of all government defintion of marriage, child responsibility, inheritance, etc. Whatever someone puts in a duly signed contract is what is legally binding.

139 80s and 90s America had a Tough on Crime attitude and started locking ppl. 3 strikes, mandatory minimums, etc, etc.

Crime rate plummeted and hit historical lows in the late 2000s.

Then we elected Obama and America said, oh no, locking up so many criminals is mean and racist, let's let them out early and not impose long prison sentences.

And now we have riots once a month.

We have riots once a month now because the violent core of the rioters used to be locked up, because they are almost uniformly violent criminals with past convictions who should be in jail.

We didn't have constant riots in the 2000s because the potential hard-core rioters were in jail.

I think that is the question we must begin asking our elected Republicans:

"You have said you are strongly in favor of traditional marriage. If the Supreme Court mandates the states must recognize homosexual marriage, will you comply?"

If they answer anything less than a flat "NO!" you can rest assured they will comply.

And that should be the follow-up question: "So, you intend to wash your hands of the issue rather than stand up for your faith? What you are is a lukewarm Christian."

The BBC has this:

The Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya TV network had reported that a US vessel had been seized and taken to an Iranian port.
An American official told Reuters there were "no indications so far" of any US ship being directed into an Iranian port.
However, a Pentagon spokesman said a Marshall Islands-flagged ship had been boarded by the Iranian navy.

The Marshall Islands is sort of a protectorate of the US, using the US Dollar and in a defence alliance (i.e. relying upon) the US.

So I'd say that's pretty close to their taking one of our ships.

It was downright wrist slitting during the time he had adrenal issues and thought he was dying; worrying about what the future for your kids will be and not being there to fix it will do that. But every now and then he goes back to that place and I have to turn it off. Baltimore is bringing it back out today. Sure it can. Russia has been making extremely aggressive moves all over Europe, in the Baltics, in Ukraine, buzzing British planes, etc.. You don't really think Iran hasn't been watching and seeing how we respond when they are tied to the hip with Russia, do you?

And we have been ignoring Russian aggression including their shooting down of an unarmed passenger plane. The msm will give us another shiny to focus on presently.

Never have figured out how a State can ban Assault Rifles...

One OPERATIVE portion of the Second, is the militia part... where the citizenry are supposed to bring their own weapons to the militia...

The base fire arm of every damn military today, is the assault rifle... thus it is the base weapon a Militia would use.

How can a State therefore ban that very weapon?

Problem is that lakes, straights, and such are covered by different rules... as they are completely bound by land.

Then each State bordering the area has territorial water either bounded by treaties with its neighbors, or half of the waterway...

Iran has been claiming this for years, and only the might of the US Navy has stopped that claim... as we declare them International Waters based on History... and economic necessity.

Problem is, the US Navy is not as mighty as it once was... and they are not worried about Obama...

They see RIOTING in a Major US city, and wrongly believe we have major internal problems.

I thought that about tax laws as well. Turns out the government doesn't give a rat's ass about logic when it comes to the laws they enforce.

...Anyone want to push for Blade 4?
Please?

I'm all about controlling the Straights.

388 Beck does the same story telling Michael Moore does.
He'll pick a few facts and twist himself into a pretzel to link the
facts together in order to prove some conspiracy. It is entertaining but
as fiction, not as history.

Time to change your socks, son.

389 Why is it between two people? Who says that is the definition since we
are changing the definition given for thousands of years?

It should be whatever we want it to be. Two or three or four people, brother sister, dad and daughter, etc.

Why not do away completely with the entire legal definition of
marriage? If people want a legal arrangement, let them go to a lawyer
and draw up a contract? No licenses, nothing. No justice of the peace,
no ship captain marriage, no getting married in the court clerks office,
nothing.

Which means no court ordered child support, no tax benefits, nothing.

Substituting immunity from testifying against your spouse for child support in your statement, I argued the same points with someone at Breitbart yesterday and into today. If you are twisting the definition of marriage, there is no logical reason... or any moral reason that homosexuals don't dismiss with shouts of "Bigot!" and "I don't believe in your sky daddy!?!"... to limit marriage to two people or to people who are interested in sex with each other or any impose any other limits such as you can't marry your father.

I was told that its different because... shut up, that's why.

Never mind that the Federal courts have also recently ruled that the law prohibiting bigamy in Utah is unconstitutional: http://tinyurl.com/Federal-Court-Bigamy . And there has already been press coverage about a father/daughter pair who want to marry and planned to move to New Jersey to do it because apparently there are no laws against incest there: http://tinyurl.com/New-Jersey-Incest.

392 Denmark will kick their ass. You can't go messing with a Socialist power-house without figuring that you are going to get kicked in the nuts! Hell, they have like 25 thousand soldiers, and a few boats, and great health care and mandated equality of outcomes. Iran is in deep shit.

393 There is a documentary on Himmler. I had watched it in German but couldnt understand much. Now, they have it released with english subtitles. He was just as creepy in his home life as his public life. They all were since nazism had infected every aspect of german life. Disgusting...

394 All those blacksnowflakes in Baltimore had nice clothes on their backs, the latest hair styles, every electronic gizmo, schools and plenty of opportunities to better themselves. Can we stop calling them hopeless and deprived? It's their culture, stupid!

I tuned into Fox this morning in time for Dr.Phil's take(yes, they had him on as a guest). He was doing fine with his dressing down of the wild youths, then when Kilmeade interjected that these youths have the same opportunity as everyone else, Dr.Phil quickly disagreed and started in with the same PC bullshit about how they can't get jobs, they have no father, they have gang influences, etc.

So why are we spending all this money on the great society if it is all so hopeless.......
