Finally confirming the rumors, director Gareth Edwards announced that this will indeed be about the mission to steal the Death Star plans - and it's set in a universe where there are believed to be no Jedi left. "God's not coming to save you." Realism is important - he wants this to feel like a real war movie set in the Star Wars universe.To that end, he has the cinematographer of Zero Dark Thirty and special effects guys from Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan. He said that while Star Wars is quite black-and-white in terms of good and evil, Rogue One will show the gray area that becomes polarized. The problem was Abrams refused to tell his own story with the second film. The first film was fine with the fan service. The story was decent at least. The second film was overly complicated, made Kirk look childish, and seemed like a collection of scenes based on other Star Trek stories.
If he wanted to do a Khan story, I would have (secretly mind you) made Kahn actually the son of Kahn. Also would have tossed the whole evil Starfleet Admiral plot. Then would have had son of Kahn run amok in a smaller, more intimate type plot. Thereby, Kahn could show up in a later movie for revenge.

Pinnacle is okay, but I prefer Svedka in that price range.
BTW, Kirkland is the Costco-specific "generic" name. Generally, the Kirkland branded stuff is pretty damned good. That said, their American vodka ($12/1.75l) is truly Val-U-Rite grade. Not sure if that's good or bad...

The conclusion of that Mythbusters episode confuses me. The professional vodka taster can clearly identify the difference between the rounds of filtration of cheap vodka through a Brita filter. Yet, the myth of creating good vodka from shit vodka via filtration is ruled as "Busted." WTF?

I say make it very fucking obvious. Staying home or voting for el-Slimeroad will make the RepublicRATs think they didn't turn far enough to the left when RoJo loses. Voting for somebody other than el-Slimeroad or RoJo (so long as that person is reasonably conservative) will send the message that RoJo's left turns cost him.
Whether the RepublicRATs internalize that is an open question, but either they willl do so or they will become extinct. Either is acceptable.

I have a 72" rough-cut mower, also sometimes called a brush hog, that mounts behind my tractor on the 3-point hitch, and is driven by the PTO. "Rough-cut" is a good descriptor. The Dixon mower does a more thorough job. My yard is basically cow pasture, and contains a lot of grass described as "prairie wool" which is very tough, and difficult to cut. I tried a sickle bar mower on it, and it just jammed it right up. A pass with the rough-cut mower, followed by a couple of passes with the Dixon make it look pretty good, if I really want it nice.
And no, no bagging of clippings.

Are you using a mulch plug, or is the discharge open.
If it is open, I have found that considerable grass will still gather in the discharge deflector. I solved it by just tying up the deflector with a bungee cord. NEVER, EVER get off on that side of the mower.

Well, the label said tequila, but I think it was recycled mule piss. I ran into a couple of cops that night. I have the Cadillac of push mowers in my shed: a Clemson E16 Junior. It weighs very little, and achieves the necessary rigidity to keep the reel and bed knife aligned by having side plates made of die-cast magnesium, and a front frame tube a full 1 1/2" in diameter. There is nothing approaching it made today. Made in the USA in the '50's.

I think your problem may be in buying residential riding mowers instead of a good quality "yard tractor" - expect to pay double or triple that of a decent riding mower.

1. Take two passes, first with the cut set high, second set to your desired final height.
2. On a walk-behind rotary, set the front wheels a notch lower, so the deck of the machine is a bit high in the front. That way, the front of the blade cuts the grass to say, two inches, and the rear of the blade reduces that to an inch and a half. Result: shorter clippings that are less likely to clog.

What do you trail it behind? Is it self-powered? There is a type of mower called a "flail mower". Often used for mowing ditches. It has a thick horizontal axle studded with small metal loops, from which hang small L-shaped steel blades, or flails. The long leg of the "L" has a hole drilled to go on the loop (which is actually like a clevis), and the short end of the "L" has its edges sharpened. Axle rotates very fast, and centrifugal force makes the flails stand out straight, but they will deflect if an obstacle is encountered such as a boulder or a sleeping hobo.

I was thinking more along the lines of a HD "lawn tractor" in the $4k - $5k range instead $1500 for a homeowner riding mower.
For $1500, you could probably pick up a used Skagg with a velky or sulky. Things are bulletproof, will last for decades, and do a very nice job on the lawn.

That is a baby brush hog, or rough-cut mower. It will knock the grass down. but won't leave a finished "lawn" appearance. There will be tufts or ridges, or leave strips. And will need either a lawn tractor or an ATV to pull it. Of course, if you are looking for an excuse to get an ATV...

Layer pours in a shotglass -- first the straw-colored 151 (will end up on top), then the clear schnapps (middle), finally the green cdm (bottom). Oh, and a couple of paid mods have already been pulled because they used content created by other modders, a common practice no one much cared about when it was all free, now, there are lawyers involved.
Modders responsible for some of the biggest, both in terms of importance (the unofficial patches which fix over 15000 bugs still in a game that's four years old) and size (Falskaar which I don't use but apparently gives you another continent to explore) have already publicly stated their disinterest in the scheme. And the comment boards on steam are, well, the term 'inferno' comes to mind.
In case you missed it, Steam announced Thursday that it was allowing modders for skyrim to charge for their mods, which were previously universally free (and the main reason anyone would buy a game that's 4 years old and still full of bugs). Now, I believe in the right of an individual to own one's work as much as anyone here, but there is an established culture of modders that see it as a hobby and of mutual benefit to have it free (with donations options that exist mainly where users have begged for them-in at least one case I've seen, modders legally can't charge due to other contracts they are under) which Valve is running into. Further the deal, as best as I can determine is this:
You set a price for your mod. Eventually, steam says modders will be able to set paid mods at 0 and let users set a higher amount, but as of today the prices are take them or leave them.
You get 25% of whatever's pad, with Valve and Bethesda splitting the other 75%
You can't claim any of it until it accumulates to at least $100
Valve isn't writing any checks here, even if you top $100, it goes straight to your steam wallet so you can get more games from them.
Users who don't want to pay are upset. Modders by and large seem to be insulted either by the prospect of a paywall, or the enormous cut Valve and Bethesda are taking. And the CEO of Valve was on reddit earlier trying to claim he didn't know anything about it. I'm told he went from being a bit of a dock star there to now, you have to specifically search for his comments as they've been so overwhelmingly downvoted.

The Chinese would run into the same blade of grass issue the Japanese were worried about even on the coast, and I doubt Russia could sustain any meaningful occupation here (just look at the time its taken them to carve little pieces out of Ukraine). Besides with Europe undefended, Russia can find other ways to occupy it's soldiers' time.
