John Hopkins University Bans Chick-Fil-A From Campus, As a "Microaggression"

In an 18-8 vote, the Student Government Association at Johns Hopkins voted not to "support the proposal of a Chick-fil-A, in a current or future sense, particularly on any location that is central to student life." The anti-Chick-fil-A bill listed seven main reasons why the restaurant should be banned from campus. The first is that "the Student Government Association of Johns Hopkins University aims to provide a safe, supportive environment for all university affiliates now and in the future." The fourth is that "visiting prospective and current students, staff, faculty, and other visitors who are members of the LGBTQ+ community or are allies would be subjected to the microaggression of supporting current or future Chick-fil-A development plans."Thanks to @rdbrewer4, in the sidebar. Take the bare minimum needed credits in Liberal Arts just to get your degree. All of your electives should be something useful in some way- PE credits are good, foreign language credits are good, other STEM credits are good. But I'm not paying 60k/yr for you to be in band. Oh, and remember, Daddy makes really good money, and never bothered to finish college. Just keep that in mind."

Well, no- that's true, but believe it or not some of here managed t o make it through college while having sex with very few people or non at all and it didn't ruin our lives. Now, a government job is guarantee of job security, no work, automatic advancement, enormous benefits and luxurious retirement.
Get the government job first, then go to school on the taxpayer's dime.

Well, if you parse it out, from the original Greek meaning of "homo", which is "like", as in "similar, "homophobia" means "fear of like things". So we homophobics should get a case of the screaming meemies when we run across the Doublemint Twins.
But of course, the SJW's of the day got it all wrong, as is their wont. The took the "homo" prefix from "homosexual" (one who has sexual attraction to one's own sex), and made it stand for the entire word, which is plain bad structure. If there actually were a medical term for "irrational and undue fear of homosexuals" it likely would be "sodophobia", for "fear of sodomy. But the SJW's don't like that, because it reminds us of what homosexuals do, which is kind of hard to defend.

If your locality has a tech school that the local high schools feed into, your boy could probably do a two year program in any number of skilled trades (auto mechanics, HVAC, welding, masonry, computer networking, etc.) as part of his high school education and at no extra cost to you. The same courses are normally offered at a much lower costs than at college through evening adult education classes at the same place.
Both my son and my daughter have attended the tech school in our locality and I have found, as a parent, you deal with a lot lower level of PC BS there than at the home high school. As an added bonus, my daughter can fix my car :-)

It's easy to see very well in (infact EONS!) advance when the store has pre-advised it will be closed. Do stores by-law have to pre-advise closings.
Seems like too-much meddling into organic market decisions that are obviously better as-is, compared to as-influenced.
