Quote of the Day

As with sexuality, we're regulating parenting according to the obsessions of neurotic upper-middle-class white women. And that's not working out very well.

Wisconsin's Shame: 'I Thought It Was a Home Invasion'

Ace already covered this but read the whole thing if you haven't. This is what fascism landed in America looks like.

For the family of "Rachel" (not her real name), the ordeal began before dawn - with the same loud, insistent knocking. Still in her pajamas, Rachel answered the door and saw uniformed police, poised to enter her home.

When Rachel asked to wake her children herself, the officer insisted on walking into their rooms. The kids woke to an armed officer, standing near their beds.

The entire family was herded into one room, and there they watched as the police carried off their personal possessions, including items that had nothing to do with the subject of the search warrant - even her daughter's computer.

And, yes, there were the warnings. Don't call your lawyer. Don't talk to anyone about this. Don't tell your friends. The kids watched - alarmed - as the school bus drove by, with the students inside watching the spectacle of uniformed police surrounding the house, carrying out the family's belongings. Yet they were told they couldn't tell anyone at school.

They, too, had to remain silent. The mom watched as her entire life was laid open before the police. Her professional files, her personal files, everything. She knew this was all politics. She knew a rogue prosecutor was targeting her for her political beliefs.

And she realized, "Every aspect of my life is in their hands. And they hate me."

Note that the only reason we know about the 'John Doe' raids in the first place is because one of the victims eventually violated the gag order.

How Lois Lerner Evaded Charges

Despite fairly obviously being in contempt of Congress.

The Obama Administration's latest gift to the former IRS tax-exempt chief came recently when U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Ron Machen informed the House of Representatives that he would not file charges on its formal contempt citation against Ms. Lerner. This absolution, which shields Ms. Lerner from a grand jury probe, came on Mr. Machen's final day on the job.

The House on May 7, 2014 held her in contempt of Congress and sent the citation to Mr. Machen.

The law clearly explains that the U.S. Attorney's only "duty" "shall be" to "bring the matter before the grand jury for its action." Mr. Machen instead sat on the contempt citation for 11 months, and on March 31 sent Speaker John Boehner a letter explaining he'd unilaterally decided not to investigate Ms. Lerner.

...the job of making these legal calls belonged to a grand jury-not Mr. Machen.

The people who perpetrated this in Wisconsin were Milwaukee district attorney John Chisholm and Judge Barbara Kluka. And in the IRS case it was Lois Lerner and US Attorney Ron Machen. All of these people should be in prison and/or disbarred. But almost certainly they will get away with their actions without any real consequences.

We have a system of justice in this country but more and more it's clear that it no longer can provide any justice in the cases of partisan government officials using government harassment and thuggery against citizens who merely hold opposing political beliefs. Of course a judicial process regarding their actions is always followed and the proper procedures seem to be checked off, yet no actual justice is delivered.

What you have then is a essentially Potemkin justice system as described by Vaclav Havel:

If an outside observer who knew nothing at all about life in Czechoslovakia were to study only its laws, he would be utterly incapable of understanding what we were complaining about. The hidden political manipulation of the courts and of public prosecutors, the limitations placed on lawyers' ability to defend their clients, the closed nature, de facto, of trials, the arbitrary actions of the security forces, their position of authority over the judiciary, the absurdly broad application of several deliberately vague sections of that code, and of course the state's utter disregard for the positive sections of that code (the rights of citizens): all of this would remain hidden from our outside observer. The only thing he would take away would be the impression that our legal code is not much worse than the legal code of other civilized countries, and not much different either, except perhaps for certain curiosities, such as the entrenchment in the constitution of a single political party's eternal rule and the state's love for a neighboring superpower.

But that is not all: if our observer had the opportunity to study the formal side of the policing and judicial procedures and practices, how they look "on paper," he would discover that for the most part the common rules of criminal procedure are observed: charges are laid within the prescribed period following arrest, and it is the same with detention orders. Indictments are properly delivered, the accused has a lawyer, and so on. In other words, everyone has an excuse: they have all observed the law. In reality, however, they have cruelly and pointlessly ruined a young person's life, perhaps for no other reason than because he made samizdat copies of a novel written by a banned writer, or because the police deliberately falsified their testimony (as everyone knows, from the judge on down to the defendant). Yet all of this somehow remains in the background. The falsified testimony is not necessarily obvious from the trial documents and the section of the Criminal Code dealing with incitement does not formally exclude the application of that charge to the copying of a banned novel. In other words, the legal code-at least in several areas-is no more than a facade, an aspect of the world of appearances. Then why is it there at all? For exactly the same reason as ideology is there: it provides a bridge of excuses between the system and individuals, making it easier for them to enter the power structure and serve the arbitrary demands of power. The excuse lets individuals fool themselves into thinking they are merely upholding the law and protecting society from criminals.

And when the justice system has failed or become merely a procedural sham what then?

It's a common conceit among lawyers that our legal system is the justice system - which is not fully true: It's a justice system and a pretty good one at that but it's not the only system of justice. So there's an assumption that if the legal system is manipulated and even blocked, then there's simply no recourse at all for those on the receiving end of this treatment and so they'll just accept it. Which is clearly what the above people and their allies seem to believe. Well out of inertia of trust in the system this is true up to a point - but only up to a point.

But when that trust that justice will actually be delivered is finally broken, stoic acceptance of the jiggered results of a broken system can no longer be counted upon either. Instead you will see a reversion to the older, rougher justice delivery firmware that's embedded in our DNA and it will be ugly. But not necessarily unjust.

Given that people have had their lives destroyed for merely making a bad joke on social media, wearing the wrong shirt, answering a hypothetical question about catering incorrectly, and using the wrong ordering of words in a phrase, not to mention threatened with jail for the act of committing politics, I see no reason that Chisholm, Kluka, Lerner, and Machen who have done far worse should be able to walk the streets and go through life comfortably and carefree.

Don't blame me for this - I wasn't the one who deliberately subverted and broke the system of justice that we had.

Kevin Williamson: With Hillary, Appearances Are Everything.

Sharon Stone, the Clintons, Scooby-Doo, the man-feminists of the New York art scene, the just-one-name-like-Sting-or-Cher thing: That Hillary Show has a distinctly retro feel to it already. We have seen this movie before: Last Vegas, The Bucket List, About Schmidt, John Podesta and Paul Begala starring in Grumpy Old Men. Once more unto the breach. The Lion in Winter, with all the domestic friction and succession drama but no lion.

Herself, who speaks in clichs and who gives some indication that she thinks in them, too, says that she is in the van - "Road trip!" she tweeted - because she is "hitting the road to earn your vote." The Clintons - not too long ago "dead broke," as Herself put it - have earned well more than $100 million since the president left office, the Washington Post reports, with his speech income alone amounting to some $105 million.

That's armored-car money, and an armored car is of course what Herself is riding around in, as she did during her first Senate campaign. There is something ineffably Clintonesque in that: She declined the use of the customary limousine because she wanted to appear to share the lives and troubles of the ordinary people, so she rides around in a customized armored van, having spent a great deal of money - starting prices for such vehicles are comparable to those of Porsches - to avoid the appearance that she has a great deal of money. . . .

Appearances apparently do matter. That van is the cosmetic surgery of populism, the tummy tuck of a 1 percenter auditioning for a role somewhere between Evita and Auntie Mame. But the Clintons have always had a strange knack for getting people to admire them for their phoniness, not in spite of it. Their admirers - and there are many of them - are like those odd ducks who prefer breast implants to the genuine articles, the more obviously artificial the better.

That's the strange thing about the career of Herself: Because she is a feminist, or at least a woman who plays one on television, to bring up the subject of her appearance is taken as prima facie chauvinism, boorish boobishness of the sort that illustrates exactly why we need a woman as president. (Maybe. But this woman?) At the same time, appearance is 83 percent of every presidential campaign, and 97 percent - at least - of a Hillary Rodham Clinton campaign. In some cases, the appeal is literally skin deep: When Team Herself unveiled its campaign icon - an uppercase "H" with a vector pointing to the right - the daft young actress Lena Dunham remarked that she wanted to get a "tramp stamp" tattoo of the logo.

Buddy Holly: 'Not Fade Away'

I was lucky to discover a Buddy Holly greatest hits album in my father's collection during high school which I played the crap out of despite being a bit uncool at that time. I was even more amazed to later discover that he had written, produced, and recorded every song by age 22. And before his untimely death in 1959 he had already inspired teenagers Robert Zimmerman and Michael Jagger as well as two lads in Liverpool to start writing songs. Of all the musicians who have died prematurely Holly is the one that I wonder most about what could have been.

Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winning author Toni Morrison took a harsh view on the issue of racial disparities in the justice system during a recent interview.

People keep saying, 'We need to have a conversation about race,’ she says now.
This is the conversation.

I want to see a cop shoot a white unarmed teenager in the back, Morrison says finally.

And I want to see a white man convicted for raping a black woman.

Then when you ask me, 'Is it over?’, I will say yes.

That the military/police are a bullwark against revolution is a given. The secret of an ugly concept is that there aren't enough police/military to phyiscally protect all of those that get their paycheck from the gov't. DMV, IRS, DA, EPA, FDA, FCC, TSA, Senate staffers....they all go home at the end of the day. Alone.

So I heard some other guy say. Pray it never gets that far.

47 The people who perpetrated this in Wisconsin were Milwaukee district attorney John Chisholm (D) and Judge Barbara Kluka.

Fortunately for us Wisconsin conservatives, Kluka recused herself from overseeing John Doe II in late 2013, and her replacement, Gregory Peterson, promptly quashed the subpoenas she authorized. Unfortunately, the Madison-based 4th Distrrict Court of Appeals (including a hack ex-Dane County DA that manipulated the system to try to hand the Legislature leadership to the Madison branch of the DemocRAT Party and Joanne Kloppenburg) "un-quashed" said subpoenas, though it has been in limbo. The state Supreme Court just heard oral arguments in a consolidated appeal of the 4th District's actions regarding John Doe II, with the persecutors' attempts to get 3 more justices to join Ann Walsh Bradley (whose son works for one of the target's law firms) in recusing themselves apparently for naught.

66 I once had a roommate from Buenos Aires. Her father was a Polish Jew who had happened to be in Argentina on business when Hitler invaded Poland and wisely decided to stay put. He eventually started a small, succcessful dry-cleaning chain.

He died in the late '70's during the years of the military dictatorship. A corrupt judge told my future roommate (who was then in college) and her mother (who had helped her father with the business for decades and knew it well) that since, in his opinion, women were incapable of running businesses, he would put the drycleaning chain in the hands of a crony of his. The crony basically milked the business dry and it went belly up in a few years. My friend and her mother (who got a small monthly stipend from this crook) went from being well-off to being poor.

My roommate said the worst thing was not the poverty, but the fact she couldn't talk to anybody but her mother about it - not even close friends or relatives. Because under dictatorships, you don't trust anybody, you don't confine certain things to even your best childhood friend because you don't know if she'll let something slip in front of somebody who is a snitch. She might be a snitch herself.

And Laura said that that was the loneliest feeling in the world.

I felt for her when she told about what it was like to live under a dictatorship, but I never in a million years thought Americans might someday experience similar experiences.

It was all an illusion, from the very beginning.

Life has always been a game of gangs.

The only way a democracy works, is when the minority agrees to live by the rules the majority makes. The radicals learned that in the '60's when they said 'they can not arrest all of us'.

Conservatives have too much to lose, or are unwilling to risk what they have. The radicals were sleeping on someone else's couch in someone else's living room, eating someone else's cheetos, and smoking someone else's weed, and had nothing to lose. Then they started getting government grants.

Does anyone think the police (good or bad) wouldn't like to have the authority to pull such a law out of their holster whenever convenient? It goes against human nature to self-incriminate. The defense mechanisms the State would prefer would be fatal to a Free People.

Thing is, with nitrogen asphyxiation, the victim does not even know there is anything wrong. Your gasping reflex, the one which forces you to breathe when you try to hold your breath, is triggered by the partial pressure of CO2. Your body ignores nitrogen; after all it makes up 4/5 of the air we breathe.

Every year, there are cases of people dying when they unwittingly venture into an oxygen-deficient atmosphere; root cellars are a classic trap. Poor bastards go unconscious before they even suspect there is anything wrong. They aren't gasping for air because their body says, "Hmmm, partial pressure of CO2 is within bounds, everything is A-OK."

190 I've never understood criminals. Mechanically, I understand their immediate reasons. But I've never understood their total lack of empathy. It doesn't resonate with me; it is foreign.

In one way, GuardAmerican was a cultural enterprise seeking to answer that, devolve responsibility down to individuals who could learn, be emulated, and admired. And through their very presence dissuade the bad and lift up the good.

But now I don't know. Our magnificent institutions, reeling under continuous assault, are not indestructible. Our polity, widely ignored or never known by too many, groans under the barrage.

Maybe the Politics of Personal Destruction have turned out to be much more personal than politics can express. Maybe all we're left with is anamilistic appetite.

And animals don't have politicians.

Heh. There is that, alright. An easy solution? Run the line from to the mask to a point outside the death chamber. At the appointed hour attach the mask, and start the gas flowing. But for the first minute or so, pump nothing but pure, dry air. Let the condemned fucker put on his "fish out of water act" and then drop the bomb, "Hey, dumbfuck, we haven't turned the gas on yet." Have witnesses to verify this fact. Then turn the gas on. Nitrogen is odorless and tasteless, because it is, after all, the major constituent of air.

N.B. For shits and grins, use argon as the death gas. It's a minor constituent of air, and being an inert gas, it's by definition odorless and tasteless, and since it does not enter into chemical reactions at normal temperatures and pressures, it cannot be a poison, because "inert". I did not know all that AOP. However, the prisoner

is going to know when the N2 begins to flow because the State does

things in a particular order. So then comes the gasping fish 'act' to

make it seem cruel to protect the next in line.

Posted by: GnuBreed at April 20, 2015 11:59 PM (gtZKi)

Heh.
There is that, alright. An easy solution? Run the line from to the mask
to a point outside the death chamber. At the appointed hour attach the
mask, and start the gas flowing. But for the first minute or so, pump
nothing but pure, dry air. Let the condemned fucker put on his "fish out
of water act" and then drop the bomb, "Hey, dumbfuck, we haven't turned
the gas on yet." Have witnesses to verify this fact. Then turn the gas
on. Nitrogen is odorless and tasteless, because it is, after all, the
major constituent of air.

N.B. For shits and grins, use argon as
the death gas. It's a minor constituent of air, and being an inert gas,
it's by definition odorless and tasteless, and since it does not enter
into chemical reactions at normal temperatures and pressures, it cannot
be a poison, because "inert". Buy it at any welding supply store.

You two...

259 So Rubio said he thinks gay ppl are born that way. I mostly agree.

But something I've been thinking about. I think most straight ppl are born with a mild, but instinctive, gay-aversion. Even a mild form of homophobia.

I'm not talking about anything religious or moral. I'm not talking about right vs wrong. I'm saying I think that humanity evolved a mild gay-aversion.

Human sexuality is strongly selected for. The whole reason we have sex drives is to encourage breeding so genes get passed on, etc, etc. So our brains rewards us for behavior that leads to babies, and gives us feelings of disgust for behavior that doesn't.

This is why every new generation of boys will make gay jokes until it is beaten out of them -- cause they are born with a mid form of gay-aversion. It's natural. Normal. Healthy.

Kinda the same way each new generation of girls will call each other sluts. Humans evolved a natural disgust for women sleeping around cause of the nature of human sexuality - women always know they are the mother, men can't be sure they are the father.

That's why I think the anti slut-shaming efforts will fail. Cause it's not a learned behavior. It's an instinctual disgust reaction.

So yelling at boys to stop the gay jokes and girls to stop the slut gossip is, in both cases, punishing ppl for the way they were born. Their natural instincts.

Just like punishing gays for being gay.

273 When you hold your breath, there is still oxygen in your lungs. Which is being absorbed by your bloodstream. It's the buildup of CO2 in your lungs that forces the breathing reflex. When you breathe pure nitrogen, which is just the ultimate case of oxygen-deficient air, the partial pressure of CO2 doesn't change, since you are still breathing in and out, and flushing that CO2 out of your lungs. But you aren't taking in any oxygen. The human body isn't built to cope with that eventuality.

Last
cylinder of argon I bought was about $75, but it wasn't a 125, maybe a
50 cubic foot cylinder. Argon and nitrogen are both "free". What you pay
for is the energy cost of fractionating them out of air.

Oxygen, argon, and nitrogen are all the products of the fractional distillation of liquid air. So whichever product you sell the most of (oxygen, probably?) subsidizes the remainder. The biggest energy input comes in the process of liquefying the air.

In the oilfields, where drilling with nitrogen foam is sometimes used, they can use either liquid nitrogen trucked in by bulkers, or run Genron Units. which are basically molecular sieves powered by big screaming Diesel engines. A whole bunch of them. Quite the sight, to be on a lease where that is being done.

=================

It's not always a parent to child genetic hand-me-down that's the subject of selection, you have to look at family groups. Even someone who dies protecting the family group before he had a chance to procreate has helped his family's genes perpetuate -- ones that are likely to throw up (at least occasionally) the same kind of self-sacrifice.

So think of how the homosexual, in time of want, is the extra hunter/gatherer of the group that does not burden it with many more mouths to feed...and you can see how it could be genetically selected for, even if not passed directly down the line.

380 MTF, I've had similar thoughts. Not much impressed with formulas ("experience", last name, governor vs. senator, etc.), as I find evaluating individuals to be a case-by-case thing entirely, but Walker is unique in having taken on the worst in our society and won, serially.

But he'd be pretty lonely, I think, if he tried to do much that needs doing. The Dems would be insanely Khmer Rouge-like in their behavior, presumably. The GOP, based on current data, would be mostly limp. Academia. Media. The Fortune 500. Public sector employees. The coastal clueless (NPR urban/suburban class). Blacks. Most Hispanics. Probably half or more of the GOP electorate itself.

Hard to see any of the above being better than neutral to real change. And many of course will be determined in their defense of the most pernicious policies and trends. So - lonely at the top.

Posted by: Ira Weatheral at April 21, 2015 01:21 AM (qry2M)

Well, "developmental disability" could be a birth defect, or it could be the result of some social or environmental challenge in early childhood. Cerebral palsy, for example, is known to be caused by the baby getting insufficient oxygen during childbirth. Not genetic, more a case of an accident happening.

I don't have a problem with homosexuals being homosexuals. They are what they are. What chaps my ass is the notion that I should somehow endorse their dysfunction.

387 Costanza Defense: "People get upset at the word birth defect in general now. So maybe I should use developmental disability instead. Same thing."

Yeah, you have to be very clinical about it. Slang is too easy to demonize.

DNA needs to be passed on for species fitness in anything beyond subcellular life. Anything that reduces that biological function is a flaw. Homosexuality wherein DNA cannot be recombined and passed on in vivo damages a human organism immediately in that it denies formation of offspring. In a larger context, a species is impacted if a "balance" of homo- versus hetero- is too extreme such that the species cannot successfully mate and recombine DNA that can survive its contemporary environment.

So, while we as individuals can't choose our DNA, we do have flaws, or defects, that vary in their impact upon the species. Homosexuality is particularly detrimental to the human species - fatal, in fact, from an evolutionary standpoint. This is not a subjective opinion. This is not a judgment.

However, to advance the argument and debate, one has to survive the many who will make this subjective. And that's where the "fun" begins where science sends the sciencey into conniptions and fingers in the ears.

Sure, the treachery of Stalin, the degradation of it all, the lies, the vile functionaries of Stalin and the NKVD. But these guys were all part of one of the greatest crimes committed against civilization - Stalinist, Trotskyite, Zinovietite, Right, NEPers, whatever. They all were covered in the blood of millions prior to the Purge. So - f**k 'em.

I imagine I'll feel differently about the mass terror soon to come. But only Bukharin is left, of the bigs. And f**k him and his memory.

Which is why there's all the angst about those who are charged to "protect and serve." Who and what are they protecting?

The retort is that the police/soldier will defend the Constitution during crisis. How is that so when "just doing my job" entails something lawless as described by Havel? Why would one trust such an assertion in view of John Doe?

If the police/military will not question their orders for whatever reason because doing their job justifies all action, then we are well and truly ckufed. I don't want to go Godwin here, but this absolutely screams it. Some high-ranking authoritarian can abuse the system, send out state agents, and have it all rubber-stamped by the Judicial to make it all legal like and just doing a job is the answer? That is an abdication at best.

445 Just my thoughts on the John Doe cops doing the raids. And, going all Godwin, the Gestapo doing theirs. Believe me, I cannot condone either. But these are civil servants that are given a task. They are not paid to consider whether that task is legal or illegal. There are individuals who believe that what they are doing is wrong, and not just wrong, but badly wrong. There are others who will do what is wrong, not only willingly, but with enthusiasm. Both are paid by the State. If the State decrees that you are an enemy and must be crushed, you will be crushed. Not by the police, the Gestapo, or the militia. You will be crushed by the bureaucrat that has an agenda. It may be a member of the NKVD who puts the bullet in the back of your head, but the trigger will be pulled by some faceless apparatchik who will be unaccountable in some back office in the apparatus.
Lois Lerner could decide that you needed to be "neutralized". The person that carried out your extermination is less at fault than Lois Lerner. He is still guilty of a crime, but if he didn't carry out the execution that Lois ordered, the next bullet would be his.
The choice is very.......hard.

My biggest point is to not trust that the State will protect you in times of crisis. (And, evidently, even less often that that.) The uniformed have a duty to their oath and to themselves. Those duties can be in conflict. In crisis it's guaranteed.

Just as the uniformed have a hard choice, so do citizens. Prepare to defend yourself, when no one else will, to the best of your ability. Do Not Depend On The Civility of Authority.

459 For millennia, mans inhumanity to man has been common fodder for writers, historians, and pundits. The inhumane acts being perpetrated today are no different than what happened during Biblical times two thousand years ago and more. The biggest difference is the speed of transmission of information. The only difference now is the absolute brutality and the sheer mass scale on which we can kill. And maybe not even that, if you look at Vlad the Impaler.

What we face now is an evil that takes advantage of the tolerance of a society that is used to tolerance and freedom.

Nailed it. You said it slightly differently than I always do... I've always said that they make themselves impervious to the lessons of history, by always trying to make it Year Zero. They're convinced that their idea is fresh, new, and untried when it's the oldest thing in history... enslaving the many to the "greater good" as defined by the few who claim Druidic Magic, Noble blood, or just credentials and awards handed down by circle-jerk institutions. It doesn't matter what form the phlebotinum takes, they claim they alone are fit to rule based on some undefinable quality that they control.

If they didn't make themselves blind, they might see that the worst evils are always committed in the service of the greater good. Even ISIS thinks they're serving the greater good.

From my study of history and personal experience, I can derive one definite truth: Nobody's fit to rule. Nobody. Not you, not me, and most certainly not those goddamn megalomaniacs. Power corrupts everybody. That's why we built a Republic, to break up the powers inherent in governance so that they don't corrupt, so there would be no rulers, no lords, no masters... and no unelected political elite.

We can't afford to lose this fight. What's at stake is everything. Everything we consider sacred, even life itself.

Words are one thing. If respect for the rule of law will continue, the public needs to see scalps.

As a general rule of thumb, if Jon Corzine is still wandering around after having ponzi'd a billion dollars to himself......there's no justice, legal or otherwise. Whether he's indicted and facing a life sentence or whether he's found dangling from a lamp-post will tell me what kind of justice to believe in.

Did you even watch the video? I should point out that the performers involved had very little resemblance to tatted, pierced, whiny, entitled SJW's.

Here, let's try another -- http://tinyurl.com/kdqgflj -- awesome, awesome performance......and can there be any doubt it's American?

521 IIRC a gag order was how an MA judge intimidated Justina Pelletier's father into silence while Boston Cildren's Hospital basically kidnapped her and caused her condition to deteriorate. But then the father broke silence, and she was enentually freed. People need to be aware of bullshit like this and expose it. Otherwise this sort of thing will become an epidemic.

If I seem a little more grim than usual lately, I well remember the California drought of 1976-1977. IIRC, Marin County (the richest in the state) had a water ration of 3 gallons per person per day.

It's one thing when the water company can't be bothered to maintain the pumps.....it's quite another when there is no water.

One of my favorite bands and vocalists. I had a "Kelli" around the same time where "We said our love would last forever / So how did it come to this bitter end?" I imprinted on her like a gosling on Konrad Lorenz, and still feel anxious about what she might elicit from me if she resurfaced -- 30+ years later.

When you say "Happy trails..." I used to live a little ways up the creek from Melody Ranch -- Gene Autry's place where he filmed most of his westerns. In fact, at one point, my uncle actually rented and lived in the old ranch house.

Some are vivid. I am close to 50. When I was a kid of around 6 or so I had a toy that my Dad had given to me. I buried in the yard next to the House to keep my brother from taking it.

I completely forgot about it.

After I was well enough to walk again. I found the rusted hulk of it still there. 40 plus years later.

I'm close to 50, myself.....but on the more dangerous side. That you got zapped ten years in my rear-view window isn't exactly a confidence-builder.

Like I said, I've seen it happen and I've seen people build back out of it.....but it's scarier than hell and awful 38 ways. The most critical thing to working through seems to be familial (and spousal, natch!) support.

563 Okay, we've got home raids by swat teams, and the tax collecting body of the government harassing conservative groups (to prevent them from being effective at mobilizing the voting public). I just wonder when they are going to put us all in the camps.

Posted by: Mistress O at April 21, 2015 08:11 PM (2/oBD)

564 ...see, we'll end up in camps unless we start fighting back, but of course, the wimpy Republican party won't bother.

Every single one of these people should be sued in a court of law. Sure, maybe they will win the law suit, but being sued is a pain in the ass. If these people got a taste of their own litigious medicine, perhaps they'd think twice about using the legal system as a sledgehammer to beat political opponents over the head. Until we stand up, fight back, and refuse to be harassed by the rabid leftists who abuse their power, they will continue to abuse their power, and it will get much worse.

Sue the bastards! It is not enough to shame them because they have no shame, and the leftist base WANTS to basically destroy Republicans and conservatives' lives. Make no mistake, these lunatics do not believe in our political system. They want to rule with an iron fist, and they want us to shut up.

We must sue them; every single one of them.
