PJ Media's "Nice Deb" Heine recalls a similar incident from the early days of her presidential run of 2007, as first reported by ABCNews.

One day after Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign confirmed that a staffer planted a question for the presidential candidate at a recent campaign stop, another person has come forward with a similar story.
Geoff Mitchell, a minister who recently moved to Hamilton, Ill., from Iowa, told ABC News that he was approached this spring by Clinton's Iowa political director Chris Haylor to ask Clinton a question about war funding.
Mitchell, 32, said that the request "did not sit well with me in the tradition of the Iowa caucus."

The revelation today about a campaign-prompted question comes just one day after the Clinton campaign admitted to planting a question this week in Iowa.
That instance involved an unidentified Clinton campaign staffer who approached a female student from Grinnell College and asked her to pose a question about global warming at a campaign stop at a biodiesel plant in Newton, Iowa, on Nov. 6.
The story was reported by the Grinnell College newspaper, in which the student told a reporter that the Clinton camp "wanted a question from a college student."
Elleithee told ABC News yesterday that "on this occasion a member of our staff did discuss a possible question about Sen. Clinton's energy plan at a forum. However, Sen. Clinton did not know which questioners she was calling on during the event. This is not standard policy and will not be repeated again."
The campaign did not comment on whether this is the only time they have planted questions among audience members.

It's not clear how many saw this program when it aired. For some reason, this "From the Vault" Barack Obama presentation was just recently posted on YouTube. In the video, Obama is introduced as a Harvard Law School student and President of the Harvard Law Review. He discusses "Frank" as Frank Marshall Davis at about 8:37 in the video.

In his remarks, Obama never identifies Davis as a communist or even a leftist. But the remarks do reflect the significant influence that Davis had over his young life as he was growing up in Hawaii. Obama talks about how Davis "schools" him on the subject of race relations. The term implies a teacher-student relationship the two of them had, confirming what we had reported back in 2008, that Davis had functioned as Obama's "mentor."

12 Hillary had a campaign event at a hotel right in my then-neighborhood when she ran for the Senate.

The entire event was staged. Locals could not get tickets, because there were no tickets. The entire audience consisted of bussed-in ringers (plus local Democrat pols.)

Not that I would have voted for her in a million years, but since it was a big event with a famous person, and right down the street, I had thought maybe we could walk over and at least get a glimpse of the swells, but it was not to be. You couldn't get within a block before being stopped by temporary fences and security.

The hotel's Food and Beverage Manager was a friend of a friend. He later told us over drinks that the whole crowd was planted. He said Hillary herself behaved "just like she was the Queen of England."

It will be interesting to see if anyone outdoes her at it the way Bobo did in 2008. He showed the way to any Dim candidate thirsting to replace her. I compare it to a magician... Any magician can do the simplest of tricks but one with charisma and presence can distract the audience while they perform the trick. A bad magician has no control over the audience's attention and they are looking in the "wrong place" when he performs the trick.

Hillary is so visibly wooden when interacting with the average joes that it becomes obvious someone is a plant because she looks comfortable.

Well, to my utter astonishment, I just discovered, ten minutes ago, that I'm already on Twitter and have had an account there since 2007!!.

Not only that, I have 112 "Followers", even though I've never sent a tweet and never logged into my account!

How this happened is a mystery to me. I have some vague recollection of needing to see something for research for some long-ago report back in 2007, and possibly creating an account just for this one purpose, and then forgetting about it. But this was way way way long ago, before almost anyone knew what twitter even was.

I promptly forgot about it, and then, like, three years later this thing called "Twitter" became popular, and I didn't connect it in my mind with that five-minute bit of research I did that entailed signing up for something that had a similar name.

Turns out it was Twitter.

Anyway, this morning I was cleaning out some old forgotten folders in a dusty corner or my hard drive, and a text document called "tw password" piqued my curiosity. I opened it and -- say WHAT??? -- it seemed to have a password for a twitter account!

I tried it and...it worked!!!!!

I did "get info" on the file and it said it was created in 2007. Whoa.

So, turns out people like Robert Stacy McCain and Jim Hoft and Patterico and various other famous bloggers have been "following" me for years and years, waiting for my brilliant tweets -- that never appeared. My account says "Tweets: 0."

Now what do I do???

I think there was some analysis recently that in the past 6 elections there were 242 EVs that went to the Dems in all 6. If you review the list of states that make up those states, there really isn't much that Republicans can pick off. If you look for 6 consecutive election states for Republicans, then you get only like 120 EVs.

Now, some of that is sort of definitional - in 4 of the last 6 elections, Clinton and Obama were winners, and in 2 W won very close elections. Other GOP candidates in those elections were GHW Bush, Bob Dole, John McCain, and Mitt Romney.

So this analysis may only be that losing candidates don't get a lot of EVs.

But it may also be that there really is an EV problem for the GOP. Again, those 242 votes look kind of unassailable for the GOP - regardless of the candidate. Would Reagan take California today? New York? With a baseline of 242 the Dems only need Florida, which means that they can concentrate their campaigning, while the GOP needs to go out and win everything.

Fair enough. But I think some of this analysis 18 months before the election is deeply flawed. Obama won mainly by expanding the electorate with yutes and minority votes, there is no guarantee Hillary will do this, she's not close to the campaigner Obama. Sure, she will get the single women and older pantsuit crowd but Dems always get this.

Ohio is still very much in play as far as I'm concerned and so are a couple others. Frankly, I think the Dems are nuts putting all their eggs in the Hillary basket this far ahead of the election. She does not wear well.

Couple of things - not sure that the expansion of the electorate thing is that real. It may be true in states that were already blue, but that doesn't really help from the EV count. It isn't like if black turnout is lower in Illinois this time that the GOP candidate will win.

The we only need to win one state (or a couple) thing - if it is a real thing - means that the Dems can run a rutabaga and have a darn good shot at it. If they think it is a real thing, then they feel perfectly okay with the eggs in Hillary's basket. There are plenty of old ladies in Florida who love Hillary.

No, it was real and pretty well documented. If you remember the last few months of the Obama campaign last cycle, his appearances were almost exclusively at universities. Yeah, she can get away with this a while, and in a smaller campaign (NYC senate for example) but in a larger national campaign for president, she's not going to be able to control every single moment on camera and every interview. It just won't work.

It won't matter, of course. The Democrat wins in 2016. But this campaign built around a massive shadow play is just not possible for long.

Citizen X - the wide open spaces are great. The biggest change to my wallet was taxes overall being lower here than the NE. Western CO job market isn't great unless you are in the healthcare, education, engineering, or Fed. Govt. job markets. The oil and gas production that was booming when I moved here 5 years ago made a lot of High School graduates very well off but it is never stable and they are laying off people left and right which includes Engineers, geologists, and other professionals.

Depending on what industry you're looking at, the front range has more opportunities. Good Luck!
