British Foreign Secretary: We'll Have a "Narrative" Coming Out of the Talks; Nothing Will Be Written Down, But That Doesn't Matter

We'll still have our Narrative.

Brits: Iran nuke deal would be vague, unwritten

By EDWARD-ISAAC DOVERE 3/27/15 1:00 PM EDT

No specifics, nothing written, perhaps not even anything that Iran and the international negotiating partners say as one--that's the most to expect out of the nuclear talks now running up against the deadline in Switzerland, British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said Friday.

But even concluding this round of talks with that level of ambiguity, Hammond said, would count as a significant success. And he thinks they'll get it.

As has been often remarked, diplomats always say their efforts end in success. They are the most self-deceptive imbeciles in the world. No matter how they fail at their stated objectives, they say that whatever happened is a "success."

Just talking is a "success," you know.

"We envisage being able to deliver a narrative. Whether that is written down or not, I don’t think is the crucial issue,”This will be a political statement, or perhaps political statements from the [negotiating partners] and Iran which create enough momentum to make it clear that we've now got this boulder over the hill and we are into the detailed work to produce an agreement."

The "political statement" is that Iran gets its nuke and if Israel interferes they are guilty of war crimes.

The other political statement is that Barack Obama just gave Obamacare to the World.

Well, because when your national rallying cry is "Death to America! Death to the Jews!" it's kind of hard to go back home and say, "hey we just made a deal with America to not kill the Jews with that nuke we've been working on / bragging about for a decade or so." and that was known by everyone from the beginning.

I mean, the Iranians could have Taqqiya'ed up a bullshit agreement if they really wanted to, but I don't think Obama ever pushed them that hard.

And every day it looks more and more like my son may well have to fight in the next (declared) World War.

Those pre-planning meetings will allow us to formulate a working statement, and to organically allow us to work towards an initial meeting. Once we have formulated the initial meeting, we can then begin the negotiations on a formalized schedule of multi-party talks which will address the points we feel necessary to be addressed before the main points of the negotiation are structured. As we progress through the formalized meetings, we can then build the intellectual structure necessary to begin the task of finding common ground in anticipation of mutually decided goalposts for the actual negotiation, and from there we can begin the important task of negotiating.

So, you see we are well along in the process."

Eh... I'll take them at their word that they want to keep Al Quds.

The Sunnis at least are very adamant that the ancient prophecies require them to take Al Quds and to make it their capital.

The Mo'Bro's in Egypt were saying "our capital won't be Mecca, or Medina, but Al Quds as commanded!" to wild cheers.

And our MSM idiots were saying "hey, wait a second... Mecca and Medina are in Saudi Arabia, not Egypt! Ha ha, these silly gooses don't even own a map!"

Dummies.

But that was when it was islamophobic to say that the Sunni jihadists are trying to form a caliphate.

I don't know if the 12th imam cares about Al Quds though, someone else with more knowledge on the subject would have to chime in....

There are six "key areas of discussion" that await resolution before reaching a framework accord, Mr. Hammond said.

"Some of them we are close enough that we can be sure we'll reach an agreement," he said. "There are still some areas where we are significantly apart. It's going to require a significant move by the Iranians."

He added, "We're better than halfway in terms of having numbers of areas where we are close enough that we can be confident in the endgame."

Because of obama nothing short of massive and frequent bombing of specific sites will stop Iran from getting nukes.

That's what Israel will have to do now because of obama. And those sites will be in civilian areas. Even if they aren't near schools and hospitals, the Iranians will say they were. It will be an world-wide disaster for Israel to deal with and eventually the whole world will turn against Israel, which is exactly what obama wants.

Israeli official brands emerging Iran deal as 'incomprehensibly' bad

http://bit.ly/1OElP1q

Speaking to the Times of Israel, the Israeli official, who insisted on anonymity, protested that "Iran will retain core capabilities," under the emerging accord. While the Obama Administration "claims that the Iranians will remain a year away from enough fissile material for a bomb," he added, "we don't agree with this determination. It will be less time."

Uhhh... well, we (and/or our allies) have bombed every other middle eastern country that tried to develop nukes.

Ask Saddam how his nuclear program is going. It was looking promising until that horrible accident precipitated by Israeli jets.

But the idea behind sanctions is that it would require Iran to decide between using its very limited cash to try to buy black market uranium or feeding their people. The idea being the people will eventually over throw the government or demand the money be allocated toward them.

That, combined with American and Israeli sabotage seemed to be doing well. Lots of Iranian scientists had unfortunate accidents that involved bullets through their heads shot from guys on motorcycles.

And of course Stuxnet.

But now Obamas just saying, "eh fuck it, you guys can have the bomb. just not until after I'm out of office."

Also the claims that US will shoot down any Israeli jets flying over Iraq to get to Iran. And the claims that we blew up the Azerbaijani's spot by claiming THEY had a deal with Israel to let Israel launch an attack from there, and that when it was made public they withdrew the offer.

In other words, O's team has actively been blocking the Israelis from doing anything about it, while working with the Iranians.

281 Posted by: Lizzy at March 27, 2015 03:47 PM (TLTHv)

Well.... It's weird.

We've historically supported the Sunni countries at the expense of the Shias. Probably had something to do with the whole taking our embassy hostage situation.

The gulf states' leaders get along with the Israelis well enough, but the people hate "The j00s" and blame them for everything. Also helps keep said leaders in power to say, "yeah, well, sorry the electricity won't stay on. You know how those jews are!" instead of taking any blame or anything.

Obama has done a HUGE aboutface. We are now supporting the Shia Persians (tiny per centage of the muslim world) at the expense of our previous Sunni and Israeli alliances.

I'm not sure why, exactly, but it's a very... tactically strange decision. Especially since we rely heavily on our sunni dictator buddies to keep their jihadi citizens in check and to make sure those lunatics leave us alone. If we lose our alliances with the gulf states and Egypt, we will probably end up with a MUCH worse terrorism problem then we have currently.
