Obama Administration Mulls Allowing Iranians To Enrich Their Bomb-Fuel In Fortified Underground Bunkers
Nothing says "peaceful civil nuclear energy program" like "fortified underground bunkers."
This is a move to attack Israel -- the only country with the stones to bomb their nuke sites. This is more of Obama's vengeance. Intriguingly, the AP first tweeted the headline that the Obama crew was considering letting Iran deploy its nuclear centrifuges underground. But it looks like the Obama administration didn't like that, and it looks like they told AP to drop the word "nuclear." And guess what? That's exactly what AP did. Now, as you'll see in a moment, the "deal" being mulled is that the centrifuges that Iran will put beyond the reach of Israeli bombs won't be allowed to enrich uranium. A-ha-ha-ha, ha-ha, ha. Right. Israeli jets would have a hard time reaching Iran in sufficient force to knock out all the centrifuges so they should have been working on alternative ways to deliver enough ordnance onto these targets. The thing is that if they use conventional weapons, they will have to use a lot of them. If they can only deliver a few weapons, they will probably be nuclear weapons.

I'm sure there would be enough votes in the House to pass the impeachment charges, but there is no way in hell that any Democrats in the Senate would vote to remove him.
Remember, Clinton didn't come out of his impeachment trial humbled by the experience, he came out emboldened that there was no longer the threat of impeachment against him.
Now imagine 2 more years of Obama knowing that the GOP failed to impeach him and could no longer even threaten him with impeachment.
The lesson from history is that if you want to take out the ruler, you better take out the ruler, if not, get ready for retribution.

Well, the positive side of $200/bbl oil is that Congress would probably override Obama on the Keystone XL pipeline as well as allowing oil drilling on a lot more government land and offshore of the east and west coast and Gulf coast of Florida. Also we would not need ethanol subsidies because ethanol would be a lot cheaper than gasoline.

Not really. He's always wanted to destroy Israel. It was one of his three chief goals when he entered the presidency. 1. nationalize healthcare. 2. permanently change the electorate through massive illegal immigration and 3. destroy Israel. I believe he toasted the end of Israel at his dinner with the Rashid Khalidi, the video of which is safely locked inside the LA Times vaults.

According to what I've read in news releases (I know, take with a grain of salt), the desertion charge carries an 8 year prison term. It's the other charges that ramp the punishment up to life in prison. I have a better solution: put Bergdahl in Gitmo and trade him for a prisoner that isn't an absolute screw-up.

I obliquely hinted at this in the morning thread, but Israel considers its security a life and death matter. They have no compunction at all about dealing with anyone that they deem a mortal threat to the survival of their nation (see "Gerald Bull")
I am in no way hinting that Israel would consider doing anything to physically harm POTUS. But something's got to give. As has long been stated, Israel will do whatever it has to to survive.

I would care.
I guess there's just enough compassion left in my dessicated soul to want innocents to be protected from harm, particularly the harm associated with Choom Boy's perverted worldview. I will even concede that a few people may have voted for President Historic FirstŠ for what seemed (to them) to be good reasons. A little pain for them, maybe, but not the horrors of nuclear war.

Fun Fact 1 comes from David Pimentel, a profesor of Entomology at Cornell who came up with that number back in the 1970s when people used a lot more oil to do everything. After 40 years of oil prices being a lot higher than they were in the 1960s, that number is not entirely accurate. Farmers and people who design farm machinery have been trying to use less fuel just like everybody else.
As for Fun Fact 2, who cares. Most of the additional energy content in gasoline becomes heat. It is removed from your engine by the cooling system and thrown away by your radiator. Ethanol burns cooler while doing the same work. Ethanol raises the octane rating of the fuel it is added to. E85 has an octane rating of 110. That means that if somebody designed an engine to rune exclusively on E85, they could increase the compression ratio significantly. The higher compression ratio makes the engine burn much more efficiently and more powerfully so you can get the same power from a smaller and lighter engine or a lot more horsepower from the same size engine.
