Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | US, Britain Withdraw Last Personnel Including Special Forces Out of Obama Success Story Yemen, Because It's Such a Success People are Murdering Each Other With FireYou can't spell "Obama success story" without "succ." Britain reportedly has withdrawn its remaining special forces from Yemen, days after a similar U.S. move, in response to the worsening security that the U.N. envoy for Yemen described as the "edge of civil war." The reported development comes as Yemeni Foreign Minister Riyadh Yaseen called on his Arab neighbors to intervene militarily to stop the inroads made by Shiite Houthi fighters in the predominantly Sunni Muslim country. Reuters, quoting a person familiar with the matter, reported on the U.K.'s withdrawal of its special forces. Britain withdrew staff from its embassy in Sanaa last month and suspended operations because of the deteriorating security situation there. The U.S. Embassy suspended operations last month for the same reasons, and Saturday the State Department said "the U.S. Government has temporarily relocated its remaining personnel out of Yemen." The Associated Press reported over the weekend that U.S. military forces, including Special Forces commandos, evacuated the Al Anad air base near the southern city of al-Houta, which was seized by al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula.By the way, if this were happening under Bush, the fact that the Administration had declared Yemen a "success story" just a year and change ago would be the second sentence in every story. As this is unraveling under the Idiot Prince, the media is only slightly interested in such irony. But I shouldn't claim they're not interested at all. In fact, one reporter asked Josh Earnest if the President stood by his claim that Yemen was a "success story" and could serve as a "template" for counter-terrorism operations. As the nation literally burns -- literally, shit's on fire everywhere -- Josh Earnest incredibly claims that statement is still Perfectly Correct.

The Bab-el-Mandeb is a strait located between Yemen on the Arabian Peninsula. The Bab-el-Mandeb acts as a strategic link between the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, via the Red Sea and the Suez Canal. In 2006, an estimated 3.3 million barrels (520,000 m3) of oil passed through the strait per day, out of a world total of about 43 million barrels per day (6,800,000 m3/d) moved by tankers.[2]

Read a Cabela's Catalog...there are scopes and night vision devices, civilian grade, that are illegal to ship overseas. Now al Qaeda has better ones than those.
Posted by: thesgm at March 23, 2015 04:06 PM (T0dFH) There are some very silly export laws, yes. In the olden days, I could download a CD image of OpenBSD from a Canadian server (completely legally), & then burn a CD in the United States, & hand that CD to a Canadian & I would be breaking federal law on exporting strong cryptography. They've since amended some of those laws, but it's still silly. So Cabelas gets a shipment of night-vision stuff from China, & suddenly it's illegal for them to sell it back to someone in China, or Yemen. But the Chinese can sell 'em all they want. No. Not prolific in the region with IS and AQ. Like I said, there are ways for us to adjust for these circumstances. But it changes the tactics. Also, don't just think defensive use. A few hundred pairs will give them offensive capabilities due to a superior technology advantage. They do take some time to learn how to use. I bought books from Scholastic about animals and saving the planet, and was convinced we were all going to die, all the animals were doomed, and acid rain would melt all the buildings. I did not get hyperbole and that people would willingly lie to me. 431--I don't doubt that many ordinary citizens will blame him for a lot of what he's caused. But we'll never get the satisfaction of reading about it in history. The elites will not disparage the first black president. They'll never give us the satisfaction of hearing them say, "You know what? You guys on the Right were totes correct about how shitty Obama would be as a president! We sure fucked that one up!" No fucking way. And if they ever do talk about how ineffective he was, they'll just say it was because "Bush was so terrible and left the world in such a mess that even Washington, Lincoln or FDR couldn't have fixed it." Take that to the bank.

-------------------------- You're not thinking far enough ahead. Eventually, one of two things will happen. The first option, and the bad one, is that the Progs will manage to succeed in tribalizing everyone. This will eventually lead to the collapse of the country. The US will be consigned to the dust heap of history, and only a handful of historians will remember that some guy named Obama was ever president. The second, good, option is that we manage to put all of this racial crap behind us. The color of your skin becomes as important as the color of your hair or the color of your eyes. It might provide clues to potential medical conditions, and some people might think one skin tone looks "cuter" than another skin tone. But aside from that, no one will care where your ancestors hailed from. "Historic First Black President" becomes just an interesting footnote appended to the career of an otherwise disastrous president. There is no middle ground where things continue on as they are because things CANNOT continue on as they are. Either we'll get over our racial crap, or the country will implode. Either way, no one will care who the first "black" president was, or who the first "woman" president was, anymore than they now care who the first "Catholic" president was.
