Nope bought it at the local Hobby Lobby the other day. Spent about half an hour trimming the flash off. Kit does not match up sides on the fuselage or the wing sparring where the front of the fuselage meets the wings. I will probably spend another half an hour puttying the cracks.

Not a good kit at all.

I want decals for RNAS Pacific style. Blue and White roundels for this one. If I don't destroy it before it is done.

I was raised Catholic and converted when I married a lifelong Lutheran. In a Catholic service, it's not uncommon for people to hold hands during the Lord's Prayer. So I do this every time. Not really. The fist large scale tank battle of WWII took place in Belgium in May of 1940. Gen Prioux with the 2nd and 3rd DLM's butted heads with two Panzer Divisions. When the battle was done with the French 2nd Cav Corps and Gen Prioux held the field.

This period of war history is worth study for another reason. There will come a time in the future when American armed forces will be led by really bad officers, who inspire contempt in their soldiers/sailors/marines. This too is part of the Obama plan for long term defeat of the American way of life.

We will suffer defeats in the field, and people will wonder why.

People forget how bravely the French threw their lives away in WWI, for no good reason in crazy attacks against artillery, machine guns and into barbed wire trenches. It decimated a generation and killed the French 'esprit de corp' and 'elan' which they had cultivated for years.

By WWII, they had lost their martial confidence because of widespread nihilism and deconstructivism, which has now infected American intellectual life.

266 Anna. I went with the A24A, SBD3. Probably going to do it up as one of the lend lease planes the Free French received in 43-44.

Did some research and pretty much all the evidence points that no A24's actually arrived in the Philippines in 42. They got redirected to Australia where it was found that aircraft that had been previously used for training had been sent instead of new productions.

They were a mess when they were uncrated.

This raid convinced the Japanese commander he was going to be invaded. So he had the remaining American civilian contractors herded together, trussed up, and murdered. After the war, he was found guilty of war crimes and executed.

For the rest of the war, Wake Island was used as a training ground for new air groups. Pretty easy target but still offered resistance. It was never retaken until after the surrender.

Surplus American equipment and surplus German Soldiers. IIRC the FFL units that fought in Vietnam were composed of ex Waffen SS Soldiers to the tune of about 80%.
