Dolce & Gabbana, Who Are Gay, In Fight With Elton John, Who Is Also Gay, About the Superiority of the Traditional Family Over Gay Families

Being a straight man, of course I was deeply interested in the Elton John/Dolce & Gabana tiff. Domenico Dolce had denigrated the practice of having IVF babies, and Elton John attacked him for "attacking my family" or whatever.

I didn't know this until today -- Dolce and Gabbana said a lot more than that. They actually offered -- and by the way, I have to stress that they're gay -- what would be called in America 2015 an Extreme Theocratic Rightwing Defense of the Traditional Family.

Don't believe me? Fair enough, read this then.

In the interview, translated by the Telegraph, the [gay] couple stated: "We oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one.... No chemical offsprings and rented uterus: Life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed."

"You are born to a mother and a father -- or at least that's how it should be," Dolce said. "I call children of chemistry, synthetic children. Rented uterus, semen chosen from a catalog."

Gabbana concurred, adding, "The family is not a fad. In it there is a supernatural sense of belonging."

In case you care, I don't agree with their very anti-IVF position -- why shouldn't a couple that's having trouble conceiving use a bit of Science to help them along?

It's not that I agree with them on their fairly hardcore traditional family defense so much that I'm surprised that anyone in the modern world has any opinions that aren't perfectly predicted by their Race/Sex/Sexual Preference identity politics profile.

Maybe this is an Italian thing, where a fair number of people still believe in God and tradition and can't be easily cudgeled into offering up the PC sop; a few years ago the owner of Barilla pasta had a boycott campaign waged against him when, in response to a question of whether he'd feature gay families in his ads, he said no, Barilla is a family-oriented product and would continue showing pictures of traditional families.

All sorts of odd things in this Telegraph article, including the revelation that Gabbana actually sought a surrogate mother for IVF fertilization. He says, though, that he'd have wanted a man (himself) and a woman to raise the child.

Now, if you're thinking, "What a great taking off point for a National Conversation on Tradition and the Family, where we can all have an honest and respectful conversation about difficult matters," you lose, because of course Elton John and Ryan Murphy are already announcing their boycotts of D&G and encouraging all of Hollywood to do likewise.

My prediction: D&G will be made to recant. Who are the selling to? Hollywood and very rich people, many of them Americans. What do those people think of Things Which Are Gay? Well, they're super-keen on Things Which Are Gay.

And what do those people think about permitting other people to have opinions that differ from their own? Well, they're not keen on that at all.

So they will do what they do, which is to use their Money and White Privilege to impose an absolute uniforming of expressed opinion.

You know just one big reason why fags, fruits, and freaks have no business adopting children and raisnig them?

Because their entire life is centered on their sexual perversion, or, orientation, if you like.

When I was growing up, mom and dad were focused on putting food on the table; making sure we went to school; and keeping us under a roof. Us kids weren't beaten over the head every single day with the importance of our parents' sex life.

Two dudes are not "a mother and father." Neither are two women. The traditional family has so many advantages (on average- exceptions are, by definition, exceptional) that it's pointless to try to catalog them all.

That said, I don't know that I'd go so far as to say that gay couples with children (by whatever means) are "not a family."

74 I am just tired of the harassment by militant Gays and lawfare.

There is a place in Seattle that has more gay businesses and homeowners than many other. It's called Capitol Hill. Anywayz, this has become a trendy place for all of the straight, rich kids to move in. Of course they're driving up the prices.

So of course this is a Terrible Thing. When the gay people pushed out the blue collar people in the 50s, that was a vibrant, excellent thing. When the gay people start getting pushed out, it's a loss of culture and whatnot.

So I was reading about this in our wonderful papers and I came across a lovely quote by a gay business owner. She said, "We moved here to get away from YOU PEOPLE."!!

Can you imagine the shrieks of horror if a straight white male business owner had said this in response to gay, black, Muslim or whatever other group moving in?

Agreed, not news at all. Waaay back in 2006 Gabbana said that he was opposed to a kid growing up with two gay dads, could not have imagined his life without his mother. Thought then that kids need two genders. Did the same people boycott them then? Or did they just not care because they did not yet have kids of their own?

Either way these celebs are protesting too much. D&G will most likely survive this, I think. But we won't be seeing them on Hollywood tartlets for a while.

185 I have no idea who these men are except for Elton John, of course. There is a writer whose name escapes me (Sopry) who writes for "American Thinker" among other publications who says he was raised by two lesbians and although he loved them every much he thinks he probably would have been better off if he had had straight parents.. He's in academia and is also a writer and is relentlessly hounded including getting death threats militant gays for not touting the official party line.

Most fashion designers are gay... and pedophiles. So they get models that have the figures of 10 year old boys and make them look as unfeminine as humanly possible. That's the best explanation I've ever heard for why fashion designers do what they do.

240 I believe there is a mountain of evidence that children generally grow up in better shape physically and emotionally when raised in a traditional family:married mom and dad . Ozzie and Harriett. That's not to say we shouldn't support A single mom or dad willing to invest the enormous effort in raising a child, whether adopted or their own , IVF or natural. But, just for one example, children of single moms are much more likely to be raised in poverty. Heterosexist that I am, I think gay parents may have as much trouble relating to straight kids as straight parents do to gay kids- (and there are a lot more straight kids.)
That all said, I wish we could discuss marriage in terms of what government and society can do to encourage people to raise children in stable long term traditional families . If your girlfriend gets pregnant, yes, marry her and plan to be there for 18 years . Man up.
I don't care if Elton John marries his boy friend. Rather than argue about that lets figure what we can do to allow more kids to have a mom and a dad in a stable family for their entire childhood.

They don't want to have them destroyed, but if they were to donate them to other couples, this would essentially be the same as if my sis had carried the baby and then gave it up for adoption upon delivery.

267 I just love this conceit straight men have that straight men, if I'm understanding soothsayer's claim correctly, aren't really interested in Pussy and Fucking at all, but we're all high-minded and about family and Jesus, whereas these gays are all about Making Their Dicks Feel Good.

Active Mormon here. I love sex. Love it.
I thought about it a lot as a teenager, some as a pre-teen too. I do my best to channel it into productive paths (like making my marriage awesome).

So as a straight, religious man, I kinda think that way, but not really. The kinda part is where I think that a lot of people would be better off if they channeled their sexual energy, rather than rutting like hogs, but I really don't think about it much.

I get that because the shoe doesn't fit it's not meant for me, btw.

268 The is big for the micro-moral issue preeners. Sure, 1.6% of the population, of which half aren't ever going to be monogamous, is a great issue to preen on. Historically, even the gheys have been anti-marriage as bohemian, straight bullshit...but whatevers...the preeners got to preen. In that world view, there should be room to say that maybe childrening is for the breeders after all. who knows.

So, it's interesting. Fashion is fickle, so maybe bitches will stop wearing D&G. I wonder if it would matter.

Odd, I've always felt it was a odd sort of genetic arrogance. "It's not my child if it doesn't have my genes"

Inevitably someone will always say "but you have a kid! ELEVENTY!" to wit: we actually had a plan, if it wasn't working we were going to go straight to the adoption phase. Life's a crapshoot, not everyone gets what they want. We were lucky enough.

(And given that there are cases of egg donor, sperm donor and surrogate mother, the question then becomes: why not just adopt?)

I actually know a couple who are getting ready for kid #2. The "she" in that couple told my wife she was done "having kids" after this, but they were considering adoption. I salute their generosity.

lol, someone somewhere said something.
If you tend to believe that marriage was an institution crafted by women to ensure that they'll still have a male protector when they're old and ugly and to look after their kids, then you'd see the male crafted version as the harem in which you bought as many new brides as you can afford.

Perhaps marriage was a nice compromise between the two.

304 @240 I believe there is a mountain of evidence that children generally grow up in better shape physically and emotionally when raised in a traditional family:married mom and dad
------------------------

The last thing I'd read on the topic (which was a while back; Bush 43 might have still been in office) was the results of a recent study in the US that seemed to confirm your point. The usual suspects through a fit, and called for an independent audit. The audit found that the study had some minor problems, but these problems were common to every other study (i.e. the ones that no one had complained about) published by the same journal that had originally published the study.

The article (over at NRO) talking about this mentioned that there was only one other study on the subject that wasn't hopelessly politicized, or used obviously bad data. That was a study that I think was done in Australia, that found the opposite. But that study only researched volunteers, and the article writer pointed out that the people most likely to voluntarily discuss their family situation were people who felt that things were going well. So that study might have had some accidental selection bias.

The study that found same sex families to be a problem for the kids drew its data by looking through public records, and did not rely on data being voluntarily provided by its subjects.

I don't know if there's been anything reliable and non-politicized (which is the real problem with these studies; too many people who are quite willing to "massage" the data to fit certain conclusions) since then. Given what I know about the two studies, I'm inclined to go with the one that found the children were worse off in families with same sex parents.

Is Ace so naive to think that homosexuals don't have different priorities in life? Do you really think that homos and heteros only differ in the sex orientation?

May I commend to you the opening lines of Scott Fitzgerald's "The Rich Boy":

"Begin with an individual, and before you know it you find that you have created a type; begin with a type, and you find that you have created--nothing. That is because we are all queer fish, queerer behind our faces and voices than we want any one to know or than we know ourselves. When I hear a man proclaiming himself an "average, honest, open fellow," I feel pretty sure that he has some definite and perhaps terrible abnormality which he has agreed to conceal--and his protestation of being average and honest and open is his way of reminding himself of his misprision.
There are no types, no plurals. There is a rich boy, and this is his and not his brothers' story."

You can substitute black or gay for rich. People are individuals.

And for myself, I think about sex nearly constantly and have made bad life choices on its behalf. I'm sure there are many gay men who just enjoy companionship and a cuddle. Your prejudices are not reality.

354 OK... whether you believe in evolution... or God making us...

There are certain attitudes and beliefs which are hard wired into the Human Brain... that transcend all cultures.

One is the desire to perpetuate YOUR genes... to see they thrive.

Now... Humans have had 10's of thousands of years figuring out how to make the next generation thrive... and its ALWAYS come down to one Man, and at least one Woman, raising children (polygamy is the norm in much of the world throughout history).

Now, whether this 'plan' was created through evolution... and thus helps race survival.... or through God's Plan... key thing is it Works...

Who the hell are we to contraindicate either GOD, or thousands of years of Evolution?

But I really can't muster up enough energy to say "my word I can't believe you saved those kids from foster care, you shouldn't be allowed to do that."

I suspect most of the rest of us gun-toting rubes are the same. (Plus restricting adoption solely to married couples anyway is limiting. I actually know a few single people who adopted, they make good parents.)

2. The mechanistic reality has always followed the same rules regardless of time.
3. The mechanistic reality has always followed the same rules regardless of space.

I believe in God. Militant Atheists will claim they are better than me because they believe nothing without proof. The above three facts prove they are wrong. Everything they believe is built on un-provable assumptions.

As for that act with Kate Upton (or Charlotte McKinney), absolutely not, forthree reasons.
First, it is unnatural, and disgusting. If you need lots oflubricant to have sexual intercourse with a healthy women of childbearing age, and you end up with shit on your penis, you're doing it wrong.
Second, despite what porn and some women might say, most women don't enjoy anal. Quite the opposite, they find anal to be extremely painful and humiliating, and it can cause physical damage. Seriously, a man has a woman inhis arms, surrendered to you, and trusting him to take care of her inbedandthat man'sresponse is to cause her pain like that for his own gratification?
Third, and more selfishly, you deprive yourself of looking at her pretty face and elbows.

439 I like Elton John. I have no use for Dolce and Gabbana, but I admire them sticking to their principles, and I hope they continue to do so. Elton John is no flash in the pan--he's been making music for almost 50 years. His writing partner, Bernie Taupin often writes asinine lyrics, but the fact that Elton can craft beautiful melodies around them, and sing them with conviction is testament to his talent. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Tumbleweed Connection are his two best albums, but he still writes decent songs.

wait a minute, how those countries where gheys cannot adopt survive with their overflowing orphanages? where do they throw all those children?

well maybe, maybe, not all countries are full of crackheads with 16 toddlers from 23 different man, and the very few true orphans are usually adopted but DRUM ROLL, traditional families with or without children that GASP, sometimes even go to church!!!

True, but the homosexual movement claims that their characteristics are just like other genetically determined characteristics like eye or skin color. That's not the case, especially as people can change orientation over the course of their lives. Which suggests that its more of a personality or mental trait than genetic.

One of the reasons why the US adoption system is so screwed up is because a lot of the social workers involved with it are adamant that minority kids only be adopted by minorities of the same race. So if you have white parents looking to adopt, and a surplus of black kids needing to be adopted, then the social workers will fight tooth and nail to see that those kids remain in the system.

I wouldn't be surprised if the neighbors felt the same way that those social workers do.

the tactic is the same, demean the oppose in the lowest possible form, twisting the topic from sons of gheys to IVF.

All the neurosurgeons out there (ricki martin, Victoria beckam, cuntney love) fell for it line, hook and sinker, and talked about IVF. If you had talked about children purchased by 2 gheys and discarded by a mother, you would have had a completely different result.

And this is interesting to me. You have always heard that many gay people were married and had kids. Usually this is chalked up to them being forced into traditional gender norms.

What if it isn't? What if they were obeying the back brain need to procreate, then when their genetic continuance was assured, they went with their more favored sexual attraction?

Like many of my friends, I just dated a lot during an era where casual sex was the custom, more or less. At least it was with me.

I'm frankly embarrassed about it now, more than a little remorseful because I'm a mature adult with faith, and wouldn't give the exact number to anyone--and who would ask such a thing, anyway? Like many of my friends, I just dated a lot during an era where casual sex was the custom, more or less. At least it was with me."

Did you bother to read those widely available medical documents that states with no doubt that ghey anal sex is multiple times more risky for venereal diseases than straight sex?

Who do you think we need to thank for the AIDS epidemic that spread out from San francisco's bathhouses?

A woman can whore around, but she will never match a ghey man. Plus google 'Bug chaser'. A lot of ghey man actively searched to be infected to be part of the tribe.

Did you want to be infected by some disease while you were screwing around in the 70s?

What? I didn't read the entire thread so what is this post in response to?

Er, why no, I didn't want to catch a horrible disease, thanks. I was thinking more of the social, culturaland moral aspects when I posted the comment.

educate yourself on how gheys are happy to get some aids.

Now tell me how this relate to normal sexual hetero activity. If hetero males had been doing this, 90% of worldwide population would be HIV positive.

All the old and saggy homos like Elton should maybe condemn this type of behavior of his tribe instead of lashing out on supporters of the traditional family.

But who cares? even his detractors are shit scared of the homonazi reaction. Don't know about you, but I will not submit, at work I spread this news of the homofascist all over the place. Believe it or not, in the private conversations, the majority does not like homosexuals and the most prevalent feeling towards them is pity. Plus the smart ones are understanding that JE SUIS CHARLIE is not valid in all cases and some people are starting to feel worried of this speech censorship.

515 In case you care, I don't agree with their very anti-IVF position -- why shouldn't a couple that's having trouble conceiving use a bit of Science to help them along?
-----------

That's the point - the "trouble" with homosexuals couples is that, naturally, they can't reproduce. They claim there is nothing wrong with homosexuality? Then fine, if there's nothing wrong, then there's nothing to fix. You are "normal" just the way you are. And that means no conception.

IVF works to restore a status quo that SHOULD exist - by nature, a hetero couple SHOULD be able to conceive, but can't due to a medical problem or defect. They acknowledge that problem and want to fix it. By nature, a homosexual couple SHOULDN'T, and when they seek IVF, they aren't admitting to a problem. That is what makes it "designer" conception. It's a Frankenfetus.

ssshhh, you shouldn't throw so many actual and logical facts at ace, while he is playing the prince in shiny armor saving the ghey damsel in distress. His friends at cocktail parties in upscale manhattan are falling over themselves for the gheys and he should show the same amount of celebration while pretending to be a conservative.

He was about to succeed by mentioning the IVF matter over the mother-father thing and now you are ruining his weekly cocktail party.

That's why the whole "origin of homosexuality" needed to be made "straight" (no pun intended) BEFORE legal protections were granted. "Homosexuality is a born trait ala race and gender, is not a choice, and thus can't change? Then here's your 14th Amendment Equal Protections! Wait, now you want to raise your hetero kids to be gay because it's a choice?! Well, OK, no problem, even though Equal protection doesn't protect behavior we'll allow it!"

DG just removed the mask that gays have been hiding behind for a lot of years, and revealed the deception that a lot of people swallowed. Ace ain't quite ready to accept he was deceived yet, he's still in SJW White Knight mode.

to be frank, only USA have 14th amendment, but the european gheystapo made it happen in other countries in europe anyway, but on wikipedia (dont remember the page) there was a study made in sweden and when they asked swedish people the connection between 'born this way' and acceptance the people responded overwhelmingly that if is by birth they were more likely to accept it (80%), while if it was a choice they were not that much likely to accept it and grant marriage etc (20%).

Therefore here is your diktat created. Homosexuality must be by birth because settled science.

What bothers me is how easy is to manipulate the people's mind just with some emotionalism. At this point, you can pretty much convince people of anything, you just need academia, some doctors, the whole media and hollywood. Goebbles would be proud.

How hetero women and mothers can stay still when 2 faggots say they are exactly like mom+dad (hinting that women are redundant, if it wasn't for their rented uteruses) just boggles my mind. So many centuries to fight to be considered more than cattle and now reduced back to breeding cattle.

And all the people here complaining about the feminazis, really nothing to comment on 2 lesbians proudly raising a child without a father around? Really all OK with it? Granted, a woman, has all equipment to produce a child and can find a one night stand, but can we at least avoid what is avoidable?

520 I think it would be a bad idea for anyone to get in the way of a tiff between gay men. It's not a good idea. Popcorn, on the other hand, might not be a bad idea.

522 But they aren't defending the traditional family. They want the surrogate mother / non-sexual partner to stay on as a housekeeper / nanny. Then they can have their fabulous gay life with their rental child. All of them will live together in a polygamous marriage.

523 DG lost this fight before it even began. I have an acquaintance who used to work at DG. She still works in the industry and is nowhere near important enough to go out on any limbs. She openly expressed her "shame" at having been employed there on her FB page earlier today.

That she felt no worry whatsoever about burning bridges in an incredibly personality-oriented industry tells me everything I need to know about how this will end. The only question is how long it will take before DG utterly capitulates.
