Yep. Powell and Rice served years before Clinton. The technology was still fairly new in Powell's time. Lots of new rules and regulations have been adopted for federal government employees in the years since Powell and Rice were in office. It is ludicrous for anybody to suggest that Clinton should be held to the same standard that Powell and Rice were -- years earlier, when IT was so different. Fukcing things will not die. The generator will be nothing but rust and the thing will still start second pull.

A little pricier up front than the cheap knock off stuff, but well worth it in the long run..

Yeah, I have a 30+ year old Ariens with an old Tecumseh engine on it. Thing won't die, even though I kind of want it to so I can buy a Honda.

And by won't die, I mean it starts every time but it has a million problems (mostly rust related) that mean I spend a ton of time working on it in the middle of snow storms. I've taken to hitting the chute with a steel pipe if I need to blow the snow lower and keep it out of my face.

Also doubles as a device to clear the snow from the chute when/if it gets clogged, which is nice.

I can't remember a time when I looked at Honda equipment and didn't hesitate. I delayed most purchases because of the price tag. I always broke down and bought one because of reputation and experience.

218 Can't buy non-ethanoled gas around here anymore. Used to be able to get it at the marina if you wanted to pay $.50 extra a gallon (which is fine for my small engines, I don't run through a TON of gas during the year). No longer.

Now I've taken to draining most of my equipment when I'm not using it which is a pain in the ass. But I've already lost a good chain saw and a backpack leaf blower to ethanol corrosion.
