Rudy Giuliani Doubles Down On Obama Patriotism Comments On Megan Kelly

Despite Kelly trying for a "Megan Moment" with him, throwing MMFA talking points around about Obama's, and his grandfather's, patriotism.

I know earlier I said he'd backed down on Fox and Friends. This was an error, and I apologize for it on behalf of Allahpundit, who told me that.

No but seriously it does look like he was wobbling on Fox & Friends but then maybe decided to stand behind his remarks on Megan Kelly.

He appeared on F&F yesterday morning and Megan Kelly yesterday night, so the Kelly appearance is the latest one.

Consider:

You know honey, I love you, madly, truly. So because I love you so much I'm going to transform you into something fundamentally different from what you are now.

Yeah, nonsense. Obviously. Still, I look forward to The Party Of Stupid crapping all over themselves when one of their ranks has the audacity to state an obvious fact in public.

50 Megyn will throw the hard charges at him so the mayor can answer. But Megyn is the one that brought up Obama's direct charge that Bush was unpatriotic for charging up the nation's debt on the children's credit cards, and that Democrats had no problem with that.

Giuliani said he just said Obama doesn't love America like us ... and was bold enough to finally bring up the communists in Obama's past.

Obama is "patriotic" to a transformed communist America, an America "put in its place" via apology and direct payments to everyone else in the world, and borders opened so we can all share our ill gotten gains with the poor we stole from.

But "does not love" is more accurate .. the roots of Obama's rage are in hate and contempt for traditional, successful, white Christian America.

it's just that until the mexican and somalian replacements arrive, the country was in hands of racist, reactionary bitter clingers. Not to mention women couldn't vote, there was slavery, the whole Japanese internment. Plus, did you see how they acted in MadMen? Also, Bush knew. and so did FDR. Plus, whatever Zinn wrote. Also, nuclear waste. Plus, the UK Office was superior. And French is so pretty and the Koran...? Lovely imagery. Also, what's up with Jefferson and his black mistress...eh? Why did he send marines to Lbiya instead of paying those pirates off.

Also, bush water boarded. And IRaq was was illegitimate.

I believe wholeheartedly that if Obama was to announce that he was unilaterally changing the law so he could run for a second term, the vast majority of the treasonous, 5th Column MFM would enthusiastically support him.

It would be, after all, "historic." And opposition would be rayciss.

Yep. However... the States would revolt (not necessarily in a literal sense... but not necessarily *not* either). All the Red States would, at least.

And enough LIVs would remember we have a special amendment just to stop that kind of thing.

No, I think if Obama wants to stay, he'll manufacture or allow some domestic military crisis, and declare martial law.

How did he do it, with what were (by his own admission) lousy grades at Occidental? How did he get into Harvard Law? How did he get a book contract to write his autobiography/ memoirs, when he hadn't done jack shit yet? And how did he get a SECOND book contract, when he'd failed to deliver on the first one? (Budding authors happily give their first-born to get ONE book contract; usually not being to produce means you're done in perpetuity thereafter.)

The psychic Jeanne Dixon (now dead) had a vision (or said she did) back in 1956 She said that in her vision, she saw the Egyptian queen Nefertiti welcoming a baby son with the pharoah Amenhotep. She said that this baby boy would become a transformational world leader, that he would have a hypnotic quality, and that youth in particular would be quite mesmerized by him. Dixon thought he would be Egyptian (because of his parents), but that he would be born in some other part of the world. Originally she thought this leader would be a good thing for the world, but in later years she said she may have misinterpreted the meaning of the vision, and the leader may be an anti-Christ instead.

Dixon said that this baby boy was going to be born in 1962.

Yeah, I get that, but they're spending ca. half of what they paid for the house in the first place. To a good approximation, they spent half a million bucks on buying a lot. No kidding. I bought an empty lot in San Diego after the prior owner gave up on the permitting/financing red tape... All because they made the mistake of demolishing the original house before starting the permits on the new one. That simple timing error added at least $30k in permits, $50k in environmental paperwork, and 2 years of building department review.

316 So, I have to say, that what Giuliani said is probably not the best thing politically, no matter how true. Saying true things does bear a political cost sometimes.

Now, of course, as noted, the Dem governor of Oregon was an isolated incident but Giuliani is every Republican ever. The right answer is for a candidate to say ask Giuliani about what Giuliani says, but I do love this country, it is why I am (interested in) running for President, and I would hope that no one who doesn't love this country would ever be elected President, as the result would be terrible.

Not an expert, but my understanding is that most handguns produce similar enough wound profiles in humans as to produce effectively the same result. Shot placement is the most important aspect of "stopping power", and the psychological and physical status of the target probably comes in second. Yes, bullet size and weight and velocity and penetration and expansion and mass retention and etc etc all play their part in the equation, but for the most part, "people are not impressed by being shot with a handgun" (to paraphrase an ER nurse in a violent-crime-ridden city in my state). Nurse had a very different opinion about rifle ballistics.

I'm confused about this Giuliani brouhaha.

The lower down to social status / media status chain one goes, the more extreme the condemnation of Obama is.

Random people chatting at the roadhouse bar say hair-raising things about Obama. (Last year I briefly met a woman from Texas, who, only three minutes into our first conversation, said "He's a goddamn terrorist!")

Blog commenters, such as myself, call him an American-hating, terror-enabling, communist-affiliated traitor.

Bloggers pretty much echo what the commenters says, sans swear words.

Right-wing media pundits and columnists condemn Obama only slightly less vehemently.

So the statements Giuliani made are absolutely commonplace. Mild, even.

Is the taboo that he said them on TV?

Is the taboo that he as a former politician shouldn't insult his fellow politicians, because there is so code of camaraderie?

Half the country thinks Giuliani said something self-evident. So what's the scandal?

337 Why not spend all that money on buying a house you already like, as it is? Makes no sense to me.

That happens a lot around Microsoft. The area got real expensive real quick as lots of dual income one kid families moved in and made their bones. The money poured in faster than people were building houses.

So what happened was people were buying 70s ramblers that would have gone for $170K 20 miles away at $550K, then spending another $200K to fix them up.

What resulted was a nicer house than if they'd spend $750K outright.

It's madness, but that's what happens when you can't telecommute to a place that's paying people $200K/year.

But w/ conference realignment and a surely expanding playoff ... I don't know if any conference will duplicate what we saw from the SEC.

Seriously, I could see that too. Naturally, I'm just a tad biased but you have to give the SEC a lot of credit for being the most powerful conference in kollidge football. Nothing against OS at all, they did a masterful job against my Beloved Crimson Tide to earn their Title.

Back in the day, Mussolini was a taboo topic in my family.

You see, my Italian relatives were all staunch anti-Commies (I obviously inherited that DNA.)

Mussolini and i fascisti were the "brave young men" of Italy who were going to be the "shield" against the Commies infiltrating, especially in the north of Italy.

So, folks like my ancestors supported Mussolini (just as all the American newspapers, including the NY Times, encouraged them to do.)

They organized fund-raisers and sent a crapload of money to them. They did this because they and everyone else believed that Mussolini's boys were their best bet to stop the Commies who they all hated vehemently.

And Mussolini did keep the Commies out of Italy.

But, of course, it all went so very wrong after that.

People forget how long Mussolini was in power before Hitler and all that. But, my ancestors were obviously embarrassed about their early support for i fascisti.

Round chambered, safety off. 1st trigger pull is DA. Just like a revolver.

422 However, it's pretty safe to assume in most jurisdictions that if you shoot somebody (even in justified self defense), you're gonna be going to court (criminal and civil). It's easier to go to court if you're still alive. :-)

Mine were tough bastards. There was a story going around about one of my aunts. When the Nazis were coming around trying to get conscripts she went up to one of them and said "you come for my brother and I will keela you". She just died this past year. Her mother, which was my grand mothers's twin sister ended up tattooed like the jews, and actually escaped from one of the camps by hiding with the dead bodies. My grandmother came here in '38 and missed a lot of it, but her sister stayed behind. They see/saw Obama for what he is.

I agree. One reason I am not wild about Glocks. Although I have a Walter PP Super, German cop gun 9 x 18 Ultra, 380 on steroids and it is designed to be chambered. Double action. Has a manual decocker. If you drop it it will not go off.

458 Depends on the handgun. .357 or .44 magnum delivers far more energy than say a 9mm.

If I hit you with a round from the Colt Python, I'm pretty sure you will stop.

I'm also pretty sure that I'll hit you.

Posted by: Circa (Insert Year Here)

I don't doubt either of those last two statements. But then again, I'm not high on PCP or God-knows-what. If you shoot anybody enough times with a whatever, they'll stop. The problem is that "enough" is really hard to define, and varies a lot depending upon the ammo, the shooter, and the shootee.

Neither am I disagreeing that a .357 mag packs more punch than a .25 ACP. That's easily provable. The bullets are far more likely to do more damage. Based on the anecdotal evidence, handgun wounds are somewhat all grouped together in a class of injury that is by and large survivable, and the "stopping power" of one handgun round over another is more of a third decimal place incremental issue when compared to other factors.

All that said, I don't wanna get shot by any of them.

My advice is if youre not comfortable carrying with a round in the chamber.... then dont. You shouldnt be berated for it.

But please understand what happens if you forget to rack the slide, or jam your feed cause you rode the slide in a high stress situation.

Practice. Practice. Practice.

461 Was Elnthan John racist for criticizing America for not inoculating everyone for Measles (he's a Nigerian writer who in jest advocated screening Americans before letting them into Nigeria)? Was Max Fleischer racist for criticizing Obama's see-no-evil, hear-no-evil approach to Islamic jihadism? Was Diane Feinstein a racist for criticizing Obama for all his fundraising/golf travel while Rome burns?

These are just a few examples of how one-sided the Propaganda Press is.

Giuliani is on to something, and more GOP-ers should start to calmly echo the charge.

Hey, its no big deal, but you know, Obama really doesn't think much of America or of Americans.[\I]
