Debbie Wasserman-Schultz Caught In Email Offering to Completely Reverse Her Opposition to Medical Marijuana If a Critic Would Just Retract His Criticism of Her

The guy who leaked the emails says he's doing so because...

Morgan responded about two hours later in his email calling her a "bully.'
"Actions have consequences," Morgan told POLITICO on Thursday. "Her days of pushing people around are over."

So, if I understand this right, this guy Morgan had clashed with DWS a couple of years ago on the medical marijuana initiative he was pushing. He had offered some negative words for DWS -- telling Politico she was "despised" and "an irritant" -- for a recent article.

Politico reached out to DWS to get comment, at which time she told the guy that if he retracted his negative statements about her, she would completely reverse her opposition to medical marijuana and in fact endorse it.

The congresswoman's more recent dispute with Morgan unfolded Wednesday afternoon. POLITICO sent an email at 3:50 p.m. to Wasserman Schultz's office seeking comment on criticisms from Morgan and other medical marijuana advocates. Three minutes later, an adviser replied that she had no comment.
In the meantime, Wasserman Schultz’s office sprung into action. Her team reached out to the campaign manager for the medical marijuana initiative -- Ben Pollara, a top Democratic fundraiser and consultant in Miami -- and offered him a deal.
Pollara, who refused to comment, detailed the offer in an email to Morgan a few hours later, the donor said, with the subject line: "DWS."
"In a tizzy over this politico story. Saying she might be willing to support new amendment. Any chance you’ll retract your statement," Pollara wrote.

There's been a lot of talk about how if Marco the Rube declines to stand for the Senate again in order to run for President, that Washerwoman-Putz would be interested in a move to the upper chamber.

Her problem is that every single high profile Democrat in her state would also be interested in the Rube's seat, too. I tend to figure this is just battlespace prep from one or more of the others trying to derail a DWS bid before it can gather momentum.

This is John Morgan, major Donor and party man. He runs the law firm that Charlie Christ slithered into after he lost his Senate Bid. The Medical Pot campaign was a very poorly veiled attempt to help Christ in his race against Scott (I was voting for sweet meteor of death in said race).

If she's got John Morgan gunning for her, we won't have Debbie to laugh at much longer. She'll basically be finished as a major political player at the state level here.
