As I am fond of telling anyone who is willing to listen, people who smoke as much dope as he claimed to smoke at that age do permanent damage to their brains, and that damage is progressive. He then asked the Soviets to hep defeat Reagan in '84, tried to talk the Canadians out of supporting Desert Storm, covered for Hugo Chavez ("fair election"), and helped cover for North Korea while they worked their nuke program.
That's just a sample. Did/does Carter lover this country? I doubt it.

I agree about the primaries, the GOP really screwed up with the 2012 primaries, it's a big reason why Obama got a 2nd term.
The way the delegates were cast made it carry on even when it was impossible for someone to actually win. Then you had the ridiculous amount of debates moderated by MSNBC "journalists". It was an incredible gift to Democrats and it pissed off way too many fellow Republicans because it was ugly for so long.

It's a little more complex. Navy was started in 1775 as Continental Navy then basically disbanded until the Barbary Coast war. The Coast Guard ships were really the only navy we had till 1801

Things have gotten so bad under this regime:
I have friends that support O that I will no longer associate with.
I have relatives that I will no longer speak to.
I have co-workers that I avoid if at all possible that support O. If I have to deal with them, I am professional but not friendly which goes against my inherent nature.
Yesterday in a store parking lot I saw a woman getting out of her car the same time I was and she had a big O sticker on her car. I glared at her and seriously wanted to throat punch her.
I see a car with an O bumper sticker and I want to ram it and make the occupants hurt like our country and its citizens have been hurt.
I hate these feelings but there it is.

Can't say I'm a big fan of their new format. It looks like they're trying to go all Brietbart'y as far as design. I subscribe via my kindle and mostly avoid their site and lots of others because I hate all their scummy js pop-unders, flash overlays, etc.
That's not to say I want no advertising. I just don't want some guy poking me with a stick and waving his hand in front of my face while I'm trying to read. Ace is the best in this regard and I click banners when they interest me.

Yes. Barack Obama hates America. This has been evident since the beginning. The only people who didn't know it were LIVs and know-it-all GOPe types who thought he was "just another politician."
He hates biblical Christianity. He doesn't mind that Black Liberation Theology variant, but real Christianity which is at once deeply personal and almost aggressively social- that he hates. He hates that someone- even God Himself- would tell him what to do and sit in judgement on his actions.
He hates Western values. Work for a living? Perish the thought. Work to acquire property? That's crazy talk.
He is a worm at the root of the Tree of Liberty, and the few people who can do anything about it have decided their own short-term perks are more important to them.

Saw one last week (not on a Prius). 16 yo daugher saw it at the same time. She looked at me and said, "Dad.....". I normally do NOT swear around my kids but I let it fly anyway. And it was ugly. 15 yo son was in the back seat taking notes....
They both understand what Preezy is doing to our nation, but they still chewed me out for 5 mins for my language. I told them sorry for the words but not the thoughts.

'Way back in 08 I noticed that Obama never talked about his mother. Most politicians brag about their mother. Nothing in the news media about Obama's parents or grandparents, or his childhood. No family pictures. I asked back then 'why'. Never got an answer. But, Little VIA is really becoming an activist for " We have the right to an environment conducive to learning, and you're not controlling the kid you are trying to mainstream, who the teacher is unable to, and unwilling to control".
I have known the Assistant Principle for several years. A tall, black, single mother, with dreadlocks at least 18 inches long.
Much to my regret, I allowed her appearance to help me form my initial impression and expectations of her.
I could not have been further wrong with a human being then I was with her.
I consider us lucky to have her at our school.
And the crazy part?
She is the Administrator that Little VIA respects the most as well.

Every asshole here in SoCal is putting another story on his house so he can get a better view of the ocean, which is only a mile away (we're on a grade, so it's kind of like stadium seating). Of course, the people behind him now have an excellent view of a wall instead of the ocean they could see before. One couple was so pissed they packed up and sold their house, out probably ca. $50 K from the loss of the ocean view.

Yes, the geniuses in Austin (TX Dept Housing) have decided that my suburban neighborhood, 22+ miles from downtown, where my kids attend HS across the street from cows grazing in pasture, an area blissfully berift of sidewalks, public transportation, urban accommodations and the like, is the perfect place for a new 120 unit Section 8 housing. And there are about a dozen of these projects planned for the area. Cows!!
