Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Rudy Giuliani Says Very Obvious Things In Long Need of Being Publicly, Openly SaidWe have avoided the obvious for years in order to appear "respectable." It's about time Obama started trying to appear respectable himself. Andy already covered this but it's been a long time coming and the world won't end if I double post."I do not believe, and I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I do not believe that the president loves America," Giuliani said during the dinner at the 21 Club, a former Prohibition-era speakeasy in midtown Manhattan. "He doesn’t love you. And he doesn't love me. He wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up through love of this country."I have no idea why they stuck that little bit of trivia about the 21 Club in there. The 21 Club has been one of NYC's most expensive and most prestigious (and most overrated, and most on-the-long-decline, I hear) restaurants for like, what? How many decades? But Politico mentions "Oooh it used to be a speakeasy" like this is some sort of shady venue. .... In an interview after the dinner -- Walker aides insisted all of the governor’s comments were off the record -- Giuliani said he would "eventually" back a Republican presidential candidate. He also elaborated on his criticism of Obama by arguing the president "sees our weaknesses as footnotes to the great things we’ve done."That is Guiliani garbling his thoughts; our weaknesses are footnotes (and footnotes worth reading, as footnotes usually are) to our accomplishments. Obama doesn't see our failings as footnotes. He sees them as the main text. He sees America doing a few good things here and there (most importantly: electing him) as the footnotes. "What country has left so many young men and women dead abroad to save other countries without taking land? This is not the colonial empire that somehow he has in his hand. I’ve never felt that from him. I felt that from [George] W. [Bush]. I felt that from [Bill] Clinton. I felt that from every American president, including ones I disagreed with, including [Jimmy] Carter. I don't feel that from President Obama." ..."What's wrong with this president" will be a question we ask with greater frequency -- and with greater urgency -- as President Bullworth Truthbomb rises to his anti-american crescendo. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1
And of course nobody on the left ever said such a thing about Bush. (Snort, snicker.)

OT, with apologies.
If it hasn't been mentioned, today is the 70th anniversary of the amphibious assault by the United States Marines on Japanese-held Iwo Jima on 19 February 1945. U.S. losses amounted to 6800, with 17,000 wounded. The Japanese lost almost 22,000 men. Only 216 prisoners were taken. Many today question why Truman used The Bomb. They are idiots. -------------------- We were confronted with defenses being built for years. There were complex, subterranean levels, some two stories down. From these the defenders could approach the enemy on the surface virtually anywhere through warrens. spider holes, caves, and crevices. - Captain (later General) Fred Haynes I'd known combat in the Solomons with its sly ambushes and jungle firefights, but Iwo was another kind of war. On Iwo by the eighth day, only two officers of my second battalion were standing ... We had one prisoner - unconscious, his clothes blown off. - Colonel Thomas M. Fields I left some good friends there. It was a battle with no front line - all man-to-man, inch by inch. - Corporal Robert Hall The enemy was nowhere and everywhere, especially at night. All around you, talking, moving. Only hand grenades you trusted, one after another. - Private First Class George Gentile Posted by: Mike Hammer, etc., etc. at February 19, 2015 11:15 AM (F2IAQ) 3

Hussein Obama needs a true moniker like "The First Anti-American President". Other Presidents have made mistakes, but he is the first to have tried, in actuality, to defeat America. Then list the defeats -- truth in voting, eliminating voter fraud, strengthening the border, bringing Americans together, minimizing the debt, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya-Benghazi, Yemen, Iraq, etc., etc., etc.

The thing is, that Obama - like all liberals - love America in the same way as the blushing bride who complains about her new husband, but is confident she can CHANGE HIM.
So, they don't love it for what it IS, but for what they imagine that it will be if they have their way - which is to say "NOT America". I don't really mind that people didn't say things because they were concerned about being looked upon as "nutty".
What I got upset about is they piled on like the liberals did and labeled those of us willing to say the unsayable as "nutty" and somehow unconservative or undeserving of attention. That's where I come unglued. Especially now that we're proven correct. But then I guess that's the price for being ahead of the curve. Just saying but some of you all are still reluctant at expressing that Obama is a Muslim. That all his so called missteps in the ME are the result of his naivete or his arrogance or stubbornness or stupidity. Remember that in the next few months when it becomes obvious to the most casual observer that we're right about him being an active enemy of the US too. Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. As a life-long prepubescent imaginary Islamic girl I admire the strong stand you have taken against angry men like Rudy Giuliani and his Crusades. This might be a little to philosophical for this thread, or this site even, but here goes.
There is love/hate and then there is something else. I put love and hate together because they are intertwined, as anyone who has had a bad breakup can attest. But the something else can be much worse. Call is dis-interest. Call it cold and calculating. Call it dehumanizing, or Othering. Whatever. People who have love or hate have passion. People who have something else line millions up to ditches and shoot them. Or gas them. Or starve them. I don't know that Obama loves or hates America. I've seen little evidence of that sort of passion. No-drama Obama. Posted by: OneEyedJack at February 19, 2015 12:05 PM (XmOA9) 189

nteresting question actually; define established? The Navy was authorized by the Continental Congress in October 1775 and the Marines in November 1775 plus including the Army was July 1775 so the ranking that way would be Army, Navy Marines. The first officer was commissioned in the following order-Army, Marines and Navy (this is why the military flags are presented in that order), the first actual combat units is Marines Nov 1775 (to guard the Navy ship being built), Navy Dec 1775 (first ship launched) then Army Jan 1776(when the State Militia's were sworn in as "federal troops" under George Washington). Then the Army and Navy were both disbanded after the Revolutionary War (no funds under the Articles of Confederation) but the Marines were left in tact to guard the shipyards, the Coast Guard was founded to patrol US waters and the Continental Army troops were released and forts placed under the command of the states (state militia's). The Marine Corps is considered the oldest continuous military service and also has the oldest date as far as established combat units with second oldest commissioned officer but if you are talking date authorized then the Army is the oldest, Navy second, Marines third. Take your pick on how you want to define established but DOD says it is based on date authorized by the Continental Congress and forget the disbanding period.

Things have gotten so bad under this regime: I have friends that support O that I will no longer associate with. I have relatives that I will no longer speak to. I have co-workers that I avoid if at all possible that support O. If I have to deal with them, I am professional but not friendly which goes against my inherent nature. Yesterday in a store parking lot I saw a woman getting out of her car the same time I was and she had a big O sticker on her car. I glared at her and seriously wanted to throat punch her. I see a car with an O bumper sticker and I want to ram it and make the occupants hurt like our country and its citizens have been hurt. I hate these feelings but there it is. This article nailed in in Feb. 08
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Front_Page/JB26Aa01.html "Cherchez la femme," advised Alexander Dumas in: "When you want to uncover an unspecified secret, look for the woman." In the case of Barack Obama, we have two: his late mother, the went-native anthropologist Ann Dunham, and his rancorous wife Michelle. Obama's women reveal his secret: he hates America. We know less about Senator Obama than about any prospective president in American history. His uplifting rhetoric is empty, as Hillary Clinton helplessly protests. His career bears no trace of his own character, not an article for the Harvard Law Review he edited, or a single piece of legislation. He appears to be an empty vessel filled with the wishful thinking of those around him. But there is a real Barack Obama. No man - least of all one abandoned in infancy by his father - can conceal the imprint of an impassioned mother, or the influence of a brilliant wife. America is not the embodiment of hope, but the abandonment of one kind of hope in return for another. America is the spirit of creative destruction, selecting immigrants willing to turn their back on the tragedy of their own failing culture in return for a new start. Its creative success is so enormous that its global influence hastens the decline of other cultures. For those on the destruction side of the trade, America is a monster. Between half and nine-tenths of the world's 6,700 spoken languages will become extinct in the next century, and the anguish of dying peoples rises up in a global cry of despair. Some of those who listen to this cry become anthropologists, the curators of soon-to-be extinct cultures; anthropologists who really identify with their subjects marry them. Obama's mother, the University of Hawaii anthropologist Ann Dunham, did so twice. Obama profiles Americans the way anthropologists interact with primitive peoples. He holds his own view in reserve and emphatically draws out the feelings of others; that is how friends and colleagues describe his modus operandi since his days at the Harvard Law Review, through his years as a community activist in Chicago, and in national politics. Anthropologists, though, proceed from resentment against the devouring culture of America and sympathy with the endangered cultures of the primitive world. Obama inverts the anthropological model: he applies the tools of cultural manipulation out of resentment against America. The probable next president of the United States is a mother's revenge against the America she despised. Posted by: Costanza Defense at February 19, 2015 12:22 PM (ZPrif) 283

You know... I'm almost glad I've been too busy working at work to follow the blog today.
I don't think I could handle it. Yes. Barack Obama hates America. This has been evident since the beginning. The only people who didn't know it were LIVs and know-it-all GOPe types who thought he was "just another politician." He hates biblical Christianity. He doesn't mind that Black Liberation Theology variant, but real Christianity which is at once deeply personal and almost aggressively social- that he hates. He hates that someone- even God Himself- would tell him what to do and sit in judgement on his actions. He hates Western values. Work for a living? Perish the thought. Work to acquire property? That's crazy talk. He is a worm at the root of the Tree of Liberty, and the few people who can do anything about it have decided their own short-term perks are more important to them. But the cholesterol in the eggs are bad for you; and as to the ham, you shouldn't eat meat. The cheese is unhealthy -- fat, dairy.Too many calories when you get right down to it. And the onions and green peppers aren't to his taste. The toast that comes with it -- lots of carbs, too much butter. Then he asked, how can he truthfully say he loves the Western omelette? He hates everything about it.The point being that's how theLeft "loves"America. Posted by: Bud Norton at February 19, 2015 12:43 PM (6cOMd) 393

The Reverend Wright debacle and Obama's relationship with a domestic terrorist play well to the Democrat base--most who hate America as much as Obama does. But in the general election, McCain should have used both to the hilt to remind moderates of who Obama really was. If it had been me, I'd have run commercials on it. But McCain wouldn't touch it.

It just occurred to me - I think it's a dog-whistle - they accuse us of using those all the time, which is probably projection. It's a dog-whistle to let their readership know "this here little tidbit - which may seem ambiguously neutral or common-sense or something of legitimate value - is something bad, and should be fought against. Attack, fifth-column minions, attack!" I noticed the exact same thing the other day in an article that mentioned some neutral thing or other about Scott Walker, and right afterward included some seeming non-sequitur tidbit that would clearly be hate-bait for all "right-thinking" leftists...

"He wasn't brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up through love of this country." True that. I think Ace wrote about "cultural osmosis" a while back, and that is a fitting description for things you learn just by being here. Obama did not grow up here; he did not learn these things. Therefore, he cannot understand the American soul; he never will understand it. He cannot and will not ever love this country. President Obama loves this country the way an abusive husband loves his wife - he
only beats her and criticizes her because he wants her to be better. Posted by: AlleninHawaii at February 19, 2015 03:12 PM (YCI/8) 446
Yeah, 21 is for old farts, and is on the decline. Like golf.

I judge cultures (and leaders) on how they treat (not necessarily in the following order):
1) Women 2) Babies (including those still in the womb) 3) Jews and other minorities 4) The Catholic Church 5) Disabled people America has, in the past, performed very badly on some of these (slavery, anti-Catholicism) and stellar on others (has always been the safest, healthiest place for Jews on earth with the exception of Israel itself). But the Jeremiah Wright crowd and the Muslim Brotherhood that infests the executive branch are quickly lowering our score on the Jewish criterion. The communistic Obamacare will quickly weed out disabled people, by requiring prenatal testing and then cutting off healthcare access for any pregnant woman who doesn't abort her baby if the testing indicates fetal disability. The commies are, as they always have been, at war with the Catholic Church (not counting their radical friends like Pfleger and their dupes like many of the bishops). Once shari'a is established, the U.S. will flunk all five tests, as everyplace under shari'a already does. Posted by: Kathy from Kansas at February 19, 2015 04:59 PM (AcTdG) 448
Needless to say, America, to its shame, totally flunks on the second criterion. And Obama is even worse than most, having advocated the killing of already-born babies who have survived late-term abortion attempts.
