Men Who Preen Over Their Online Image Likely to Be Psychopaths, Says Mouthy Whore Who Needs To Be Taught A Lesson
Jesse A. Fox of Ohio State University says that men who posts selfies score higher as regards narcissism, and also as regards one trait of psychopaths, "self-objectification."
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The picture isn’t pretty for guys who post a lot of selfies on social media sites like Facebook and Instagram. A new study showed that men who posted more online photos of themselves than others scored higher on measures of narcissism and psychopathy. In addition, men who were more likely to edit their selfies before posting scored higher in narcissism and self-objectification, which measures how much they prioritize their appearance. .. "The more interesting finding is that they also score higher on this other anti-social personality trait, psychopathy, and are more prone to self-objectification," [lying whore Jesse Fox said.] ... Fox emphasized that the results don’t mean that men who post a lot of selfies are necessarily narcissists or psychopaths. The men in the study all scored within the normal range of behavior – but with higher than average levels of these anti-social traits. Narcissism is marked by a belief that you're smarter, more attractive and better than others, but with some underlying insecurity. Psychopathy involves a lack of empathy and regard for others and a tendency toward impulsive behavior.A belief that you're smarter and better than people mixed with underlying insecurity and impulsivity and selfishness, you say...?

Actually, the DSM5 is trying something new, where they are suggesting a new way of classifying personality disorders.
It's not set in stone, nor is it being accepted by clinicians... well, except p si chiatrists hate personality disorders because they don't have drugs to treat them.
But make no mistake. Other clinicians are still using personality disorders to designate these types of behaviors.
Why? Because they accurately reflect reality.

Far be it from me to bash my own kind, but I find this to be true of women, as well. When I used to be on FB, all of the women I personally knew who posted relentless selfies were what I considered to be narcissists on some level. I'd say his general knowledge of important subjects (history, economics, military affairs, etc.) is actually pretty stunningly poor. We tried to take pictures of our firstborn regularly, so we'd have a record of milestones and such. With child # 2 we have every six months or so. If we have more kids, they'll have a birth photo, and graduation photo.

As in - seriously - he's not a person I'd ever spend 5 minutes talking to. He's not the slightest bit interesting. And when I was around him, he was not just obviously over his head, his personality weirdness was displayed in flashing neon (preening, insecure, cold).

Absolutely agree his general knowledge of matters relevant to his position is shockingly poor. Imagine going to a surgeon who's going to operate on "you know, that thing that looks like ..."
Also agree re his peculiar personality. He's a very strange duck indeed, but given his background, how could he be otherwise? We're lucky if there aren't any bodies in the crawlspace under his house.
I developed the criteria above when I had to interview prospective students for university. One of the best criteria turned out to be whether they could recognize analogies, i.e., a connection between things that superficially appear not to be connected, because that indicates an ability to reason abstractly. Obama showed a glimmer of that when he conflated an inhaler with a breathalyzer, but that's not as much of a leap as, say, connecting an inhaler with a fuel injector.

I managed to track down the secret unpublicized address of where he'll be at yet another "socialist billionaire"'s house tonight for yet another $36,000/plate fundraiser. So I could show up as usual with my camera and document the comings and goings on.
But, y'know, damn, I've done this so many times before (this is his TWENTIETH fundraising trip to SF since 2009) and frankly I no longer see any point. He's so irrelevant, and his other malfeasances to immense, that why should I bother mocking him or his donors any more?
I feel like giving myself a vacation and intentionally ignoring Obama this time around.

So I look up youtube and there is a video that doesn't show the part I need to know; how to change the float switch and waterproof the connection.
The video shows me a screw driver and a cable clamp. It shows unplugging the power cord. Then it shows the new switch activating the pump. That doesn't help much.

Remember the school pictures? People paid for them because you got the class picture, and you got professionally taken pictures of your kids every year (don't get me started on how they smiled). And because unless you owned a 35mm SLR ( and knew how to work it) your pictures tended to suck.
Then everyone started taking their own pictures, and everyone went digital.... and now we're back to school pictures so we actually get something to frame.
