50 Shades of Graft: Sex-Smitten Luv-Guv Caught With Hands In Taxpayer Cookie Jar For Gubernatorial GalPal

1. Democratic leaders are telling him to resign.

Senate President Peter Courtney and House Speaker Tina Kotek met with Gov. John Kitzhaber on Thursday morning and told him it was time to resign.

...

"He was upset," Courtney said. "He was defiant. He was struggling."

"This thing is evolving by the second."

Courtney said that he and Kotek have been trying to get security for Secretary of State Kate Brown, who would become governor if Kitzhaber were to step down.

Why all this? Because...

2. Kitzhaber's government has been showering sweet taxpayer kisses on his live-in hoochie-mama.

The inquiries stem from contracting work that Ms. Hayes, 47, a clean-energy consultant, performed and was paid for while living with the governor and advising him on clean-energy issues. Those issues have long been a priority of Mr. Kitzhaber’s administration, but now they are bound up in, and perhaps undermined by, questions of whether love and politics got too cozy in the governor’s mansion.

But is this dramatic? Sure it's dramatic, because...

3. The governor seems High on Sex Goofballs because he's simultaneously telling is Secretary of State (who would take over for him should he resign) that he's not resigning, but also, that he'd like to set up "a transition."

But he's probably innocent, right? I mean, a man in love cannot be guilty of a crime, can he?

Well, he can. That crime is called obstruction of justice. Because...

4. Governor John Kitzhaber's Office Sought to Destroy Thousands of His Emails

ov. John Kitzhaber’s office last week requested state officials destroy thousands of records in the governor’s personal email accounts, according to records obtained by WW and 101.9 KINK/FM News 101 KXL.

The request came as investigations into allegations of influence-peddling involving Kitzhaber and first lady Cylvia Hayes were intensifying.

Records show the request to destroy Kitzhaber’s emails came from Jan Murdock, Kitzhaber's executive assistant. She wanted all emails from Kitzhaber's personal email accounts removed from state servers.

The request from Murdock was described in a Feb. 5 email. "Governor’s office wants anything that is in the email account [Kitzhaber’s account] removed from archive," wrote Tracy Osburn, a field technician in the DAS Technology Support Center, wrote in the email obtained by WW and 101.9 KINK/FM News 101 KXL.

Well, that's only 4 of the 50 shades, but we're still in early days.

Whoah:

5. The plot, like his manhood, thickens.

54 He'll resign.

It will be a "local news story"

A Democrat will be elected as governor of Oregon in the next election.

Kitzhaber will get a lucrative job doing "consulting" at a green energy firm aligned with the Democrats.

And this is why our corruption problem isn't going away.

A story like this should lead to a review of every single government hand out to "green energy" interests...and the cancellation of most/all of them.

56 If it's not gut flora it has to be gender issues. Someone is oppressing someone and the gov is a white patriarch and male, as far as we know. That's three evils right there. The partner gets credit for being female, minority, LGBT would be a plus. Then there is political party affiliation, and how much money did they raise for Obama's presidential campaign. You get extra points for that.

This is not a simple question. There is a lot of nuance to work through.

187 I have a bisexual friend. One of those close friends who tells all the private details.

After 20 years of living openly as and claiming publicly to be bisexual, she admitted to me that she only consents to sexual activity with women because in certain cases it gets her access to the man she's pursuing. In reality, she says, lesbian sexual acts make her want to puke -- but she suppresses it.

It might help to explain that she has a weird fetish for those kind of guru/charlatan guys in the polyamorous community who are failed versions of sex-cult leaders, so they settle for having a sort of loose harem of loose women. She is mesmerized by this kind of creep, but if you want to screw them, you must consent to join, however temporarily, the polyamorous harem around him, which means sleeping with the other starry-eyed hippie chicks. Once you pass through them, you can get to him.

She endures the hazing phase of the process to get bed time with Mr. Dream Boat -- who is in actuality a loser version of Rajneesh or Manson.

She's dont his with several polyamorous cult/harems.

But the pint I'm making is that she confessed, after 20 years of being a bisexual activist, that she thinks there's no real thing as bisexuality, and that she was faking it.

The Democratic Party in Oregon rests on four pillars:

Very well-paid government workers, who frequently retire in their early 50's with pensions bigger than their final salaries.

Hipsters, who don't pay state income tax (along with half of the state's residents), who think that voting for Democrats is cool.

Welfare recipients (Oregon has some of the laxest welfare rules in the country).

Aging Californians who sell their million-dollar homes in California, buy equivalent $300,000 homes in Oregon, and live off the difference, so they could care less whether the Oregon economy functions, so long as they can hire people to do stuff for them.

I've convincingly heard differently. But the bisexuals involved weren't the happy hedonist types that they're popularly believed to be. Instead they were people who were strongly interested in a monogamous relationship. And the gender of their partner was less important than the fact that they were in a committed monogamous relationship.

Unsurprisingly, the Rad Fem Lesbian types seem to virulently hate bisexuals of the type I just described.

This is another reason why I hate vote by mail and early voting. This story started coming out the week before the election. A lot of voters had already sent in their ballots. 285 I don't know it for a fact, but I can almost guarantee you that Oregon has a Democrat LTGov.

Kate Brown, the Secretary of State is 2nd in line in Oregon. Yes she is a Dem.

Oregon has not had an LT Gov since the last one decided to pardon some deathrow inmates way back when while the Gov was on vacation.
Really. Oregon politics is unreal at times.

288 I wish our Gov. Brown would go away. And his Lt. Gov. And our Secretary of State.
