Valerie! Bibi was mean to me! I HATE him! [CBD]

White House going nuclear on Netanyahu

Our petulant man-child president will be making significant and far-reaching foreign policy decisions based on being called a poopy-head during recess.

Netanyahu ought to remember that President Obama has a year and a half left to his presidency, and that there will be a price.

And from commenter Willow: The Future does not belong to those who insult Obama?

16 Greece just voted the communists into power.

Their one platform: to reneg on the promises the nation previously made to receive a massive bailout from the rest of Europe.

The new commie leader claim he will "renegotiate" the nation's debt, i.e. try to cajole with the EU to just give Greece a few hundred billion Euros, which nothing gotten in return. He will not succeed.

The position the communists are taking is so weak, essentially boasting that the nation is "too big to fail" and thus the EU will HAVE to bail them out, lest risking the Euro collapsing entirely. It's a asshole philosophy: Declare yourself to be such a huge problem that others must fix you. Meanwhile, he plans to dole out even more money to the nation;s tax cheat, welfare-scammers, and government employee do-nothings.

"Socialism works until yo run out of other people's money." Greece already ran out of their own money a long time ago, and now they've run out of other people's money too. In response, they voted for more socialism.

For the sake of history, to bury the fantasy of socialism forever, the EU needs to just tell Greece, "Fine, you're on your own, then." Kick them out of the Eurozone, and let the nation's economy collapse under its own socialist weight.

By propping them up once more, the EU would not only reward those who snub them, but would mask the disastrous outcome that socialism brings.

26 Obama's goal since 2007 has been to make Israel our enemy and Iran our ally. He's out in the open about this. He wants American to "switch sides." But he also knows that this policy would be rejected by 95% of the citizens -- only the extreme anti-Semitic left and the Muslims want us on the side of the terrorists. So Obama will just reverse our foreign policy "sub rosa," without even announcing he is doing so.

The next president will take over and find to his horror that we have become one o the bad guys.

Repairing the damage may take decades.

39 Left's worldview is to simplify the entire world into:
White Oppression vs Noble People of Color

So Israel becomes the Evil White Oppressor. And the Palis become the Noble People of Color.

It's why they are so quiet when some conflict breaks out that has no obvious Evil White Oppressor.

Black Nigerian Christians vs Boko Haram muzies? Mostly quiet.

Indian Hindu Nationalists vs Indian Muslim Jihadis? ProgMedia doesn't even mention it.

But the Jews vs Arabs? Ah, the media is obsessed -- and always siding with the Muslims as the Noble People of Color.

Problem
with that, as far as the EU plutocrats are concerned, is that too will
lead to the collapse of the Euro, and possibly the whole EU as there are other countries that would like to bail out as well, and nobody will be happy about picking up the tab for the all the deadbeats. No good
end for the internationalists in this whole situation. It's going to be good entertainment watching the whole bunch running around with their heads on fire. The world-wide econmic collapse will be a slight drawback but worth the Schadenfreude.

I was at lunch with a nephew, who works at OFA (and is thereby just as much a disgrace to the family as his brother, who is in jail for robbery), and he said something very odd. Not the usual kind of odd - spooky odd.

He said that he and his girlfriend had had dinner at some restaurant that had presidents as some sort of theme. Then he said something to the effect that they'll need to make just one more spot - for Obama. It was said in a way that implied that there would be no presidents after Obama.

I didn't ask what the hell that was supposed to mean. Maybe you know the drill. Leftists are annoying enough, voluntarily spouting their bizarre anti-American fantasies, without you COOPERATING, and actually ASKING them for it when they prompt you to.

90 It's a mistake to think that Obama's complicity is an accident or oversight or misconception on his part.

It's malice aforethought. He (and his advisers, especially Val Jar) are all for Iran becoming a nuclear power in the ME.

That will supposedly show the Saudis who's boss. ????

That he hasn't quite grasped that Iran is a coequal axis of evil member along with the Norks but is serious and not starving and will use this power not to protect itself but to project itself might be true.

Muslim Pakistan has nukes but isn't considered that big a threat as it isn't coo-coo crazy enough to use them in a first strike.

Iran is.

Iran's leaders want to see the world in flames. This will provide the stage for the Supreme Mahdi to arrive and it will be Iran which has provided the gateway. So extra virgins all around.

Given who he has surrounded himself with and their known proclivities and attitudes this should not come as a surprise and Bibi and Israel needs to see that the American people do not side with this person Occupying the White House. So does the rest of the world.

lead to the collapse of the Euro, and possibly the whole EU as there are other countries that would like to bail out as well, and nobody will be happy about picking up the tab for the all the deadbeats. Obama's playing for the hard-left team and I'm sure he'd like NOTHING more than send his UN crew off beating the drums for Palestinian statehood, having the DoD slow-walk deliveries of equipment and ordnance, etc.

How many Dem senators would back him up on this if he DID try something and Congress put through a bill to slap him down?

I can see him losing a veto override 85-4 in the Senate and 430-25 in the House with a bunch of Dem abstentions.

It's almost as if the EU was a fatally flawed concept from the get-go.

In many respects, the whole EU fiasco is highly reminscent of the subprime mortgage fiasco here. Giving improvident members of the underclass middle class trappings (such as homes) does not (and did not) make them middle class. Similarly, giving improvident countries (the PIIGS) access to the credit available to prudent countries (Germany) did not make them into prudent countries.

Moral: losers gotta lose. It's their life trajectory to lose, and they will not be denied. And if you try to stop them from losing, they'll take you down with them.

I could easily be convinced that the Kaaba is eons old entity from interstellar space. Locked into the rock by his race for being too crazy to let loose, they cast him out into the universe. (bastards!)

Having arrived on Earth he slowly but steadily subverted and suborned the ignorant desert peasants into worshiping him and creating a pedophiliac death cult bent on taking over the world.

Once enough people worship him he will be able to cast off the surrounding shell and come forth in all his glory and rule the Earth as a cruel and vicious master. Meanwhile he is empowered by all the hate and death done in his name.

Thanks Universe.

172 The question is "How insane are the Iranians, really?"

The President, I think, does not really believe they will nuke Israel if they have the chance. We take pretty much the opposite view.

I think he looks at Iran and thinks that they are looking for power and legitimacy. That when they have nuclear power and the ability to deliver weapons they will sit on that power and use it as a cudgel to force everyone in the region into their sphere of influence. Then when they are top dog in the region, the region is stabilized (albeit under a brutal authoritarian, theological dictatorship.) Peace in our time and all that.

He is fucking crazy. He believes that everyone wants to live in a version of the west. They do not want to live in a version of the west. They see the west's mere existence as an affront that must be corrected. An insult that must be answered.

I fear that Israel will be an object lesson. and children centuries from now will be taught about a beautiful light of democracy that stood in the middle of a dark and fetid swamp of evil until it was betrayed by it's one ally.

It is like we are living in a fucking Greek tragedy.

No, they're thicker than ever. But they're filled with information about historical nobodies whom the children are taught are the most important people EVER. By the time they graduate, they have a completely bizarre and skewed concept of history and culture. Instead of learning about Archimedes and Edison and Fulton and Marconi, they ONLY learn about so guy who devised some marginal improvement in the way steam locomotives are lubricated. Why? Because that guy was black. Instead of learning about the Founding Fathers and the framers of the constitution the learn about some female native American chief's daughter who briefly led a failed rebellion. Why? Because she's a woman and a Native American. But the kids don't learn about these unimportant figures in addition to the important people -- they learn about them INSTEAD of the important people. So by the time they get their diploma they couldn't name Thing One about something of actual significance -- only recite a litany of marginal minority "heroes." Now, as you note, to include gay heroes.

It's even worse than that, zombie. That PC crap has even infected math books. I was helping little Guevara with his math, and was shocked by the textbook. It's an oh so PC four-color tome replete with marginal entries (totally unrelated to math), such as one about the first black female astronaut to take a crap in space. The relevance to solving systems of linear equations is, of course, obvious.

Even the problems are PC. "If there are 10,000 polar bears in the Arctic, and oil companies, Republicans, and the Koch brothers are killing 10% of them every year, but they reproduce at a rate of 5% per year, how long before evil capitalists kill all the polar bears?"

182 I could easily be convinced that the Kaaba is eons old entity from interstellar space.

That would be don Juan Matus, purveyor of Castandea's "Yaqui Way of Knowledge." It was all the rage, 40 years back among those who believed "whether it literally happened or not makes no fundamental difference to the truth of the account".

This gap was also filled for a time by the entire pantheon of "Eastern" religion, until they had it forced upon them that, for most everyday believers in, say, Buddhism, for instance, you believed all that otherworldly insight and still went about your business anyway. Not enough excuses to tune in, baby, and drop out.

That raises an interesting question: when California finally crashes and burns doing its Greece impression, who's going to bail it out? Republicans? Not likely. Democrats? Why would they do that? They've already got a lock on California's Electoral College votes, and are unlikely to lose them. It'd be smarter to spend the money buying votes of marginal states.

In this respect, California is in much the situation as the blacks: when you're all in, you're less likely to get what you want from someone than if you're wobbling, and that guy needs your support.

Of course, it takes some intelligence to figure that out.

The elder Guevara considered taking a high school AP class in what purported to be environmental science, but the reading list was replete with Red agitprop. Rachel Carson, Jeremy Rifkin, Paul Ehrlich all figured prominently, along with books defending Earth First! as noble crusaders. No mention of the carbon or nitrogen cycles, or anything like that. Infuriating.

IMO he has by far the best record of accomplishments during his gubernatorial tenure, but he's really going to have to up his speaking game to win the nom, much less the campaign. That's tough to do if you aren't a natural orator, as he clearly is not.

If I was advising him, I think I'd tell him to develop a theme along the lines of "No, I didn't finish college. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton did. Draw your own conclusions".

254 "They stole the black man's invention of calculus and quantum mechanics."

The claims of theft have become increasingly strident of late.

Someone handed me a book by Michael Smerconish and said, "You might like this," whereupon I read a small bit of it and completely hated it.

In a book ostensibly professing to be about the tyranny of left-wing political correctness, Smirk had a black activist call in to his radio show and run the "Whitey stole all these inventions from us" line of malarkey.

To be more specific, what this guy claimed was (lemme go get the book to be perfectly accurate), quote:

"Ironically, African Americans post-slavery represented the largest body of skilled labor and craftsmen in the United States."

Highly questionable, but the real killer was what came next:

"In addition, [black Americans] produced a large number of inventions that really pushed the United States forward on the world stage. Innovations include the railroad, telephone/now telecom, computers, military, automotive industries."

Wait, what?

The automotive _industry_, the entire thing, the whole shebang, was ostensibly created in toto by blacks and then cruelly stolen from them by YT without credit?

The computer _industry_ likewise? The telephone industry?

Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, John von Neumann, Robert Noyce, Henry Ford et al. were just craven white intellectual property thieves ripping off honest African Americans? Guess so.

And Smirk ALLOWED THIS ARGUMENT TO STAND UNCHALLENGED. He then was so impressed by its cogency that he REPRINTED IT VERBATIM in the book.

257 deBlasio says one of the biggest blizzards "in the recorded history" of New York City. This does not count the unrecorded history, apparently.

In 1888, the NYC papers were in the middle of opining that settlement of the West should end now, because a couple dozen people had died in frontier snowstorms out there, when the same damn storm hit New York. Different stories, but it looks like it was at least 40 inches there, and way more upstate and in real New England. Four hundred fatalities.

I would dare say that like many contemporary weather claims, this one won't make the Top Ten. But NYC is a dangerous and incompetent place ("the finest municipal workforce in the world"), so there's no telling how many might die. The City has closed down in advance.

Don't drown in the flood of piss cascading from their pant legs.

262 "IMO [Walker] has by far the best record of accomplishments during his gubernatorial tenure"

And yet really those accomplishments come down to:

(a) Surviving against second-rate challengers such as Burke,

and,

(b) Imposing reforms of the most mild and hesitant sort upon one single bloc of public sector unions. (Let me know when police-union and fire-union abuses of pension vesting and disability get challenged anywhere by anyone, kthxbye).

Walker's "success" in going after the unions is artificially magnified from its actual very modest scope and depth by the hysterical volume of screaming from the institutional left over it.

What needs to happen in America is for public sector unions to be torn out root and branch at every level, including police and fire. To be replaced by civil service rules in those public services which remain part of government. Privatized elsewhere.

Walker did not mount a root and branch assault. He trimmed a couple of dead leaves. He faced intense opposition to this, true, but he didn't perform radical surgery.
