Dear Lord. Is that just you or you and your hubby combined? I pay 80 a month for me but this year I did pick the plan with a higher deductible. It use to be 750 deducible and I went to 2500. I threw my daughter on with 2500 deductible as well and she costs an extra 260 a month in addition to my 80. I've been looking for excuses to quite my job but after reading this I may stick around for a few more years! That is INSANE

In case you can't tell from the video, that stage is about 14 stories tall. When it separated from the rest of the rocket it was about 40 miles high and traveling at over 4000 mph. The landing deck on the ship is about the size of a football field. Imagine what that looks like in the middle of the ocean from 40 miles up.
I'm very happy and a little surprised that SpaceX chose to release this video. They never did release any official video of the F9R accident in Texas last year (the only video I've seen was taken by an amateur on public property). They also have never released video of the first Falcon 1 launch in 2006, which fell into the ocean 30 seconds after liftoff.
The next launch is scheduled for Jan. 29, and they will try to recover that first stage as well. Based on lessons learned from this attempt, I think they have a very good chance of success.

That's me. I have a $2,500 deductible. My husband is sick he had to cancel his company's insurance. The younger guys are doing okay, but the older employees are hurting. He couldn't help it. Rates went up 58% last year and another 58% this year.
It absolutely killed him having to cancel the plan. A few of his employees were big O-bots. Now, not so much.

Ours has gone from $800 for both of us to a bit over $1700 in 5 years. I just got a letter from Blue Shield a couple of days ago. I'm afraid to open it because I know they're telling me the rates are going up.
I too have relatives telling me that our insurance was horrible before, and now it's what it should be. Yes, I didn't need my vision insurance at all, but what I really need is my pediatric vision and dental. Too bad I'm in my 50's and have no kids. My wife is also delighted about all her maternity coverage.
Right now, our insurance costs what a mortgage would. We could be buying another property instead of a bunch of useless insurance.

The movie "12 Monkeys" is an awesome flick. See it ASAP. Dunno about the series. The trailer looks cool, but, I'm having problems seeing how the story could be turned into a series. It may involve copious padding. Also, the movie has, as a major plot point, enviro wackos as antagonists.. which is very cool. The series looks like it may omit that. Dunno. I want to like the series, based on the trailer, but, I'm not holding my breath.

I suspect you won't regret getting the movie, Chi. Get it on hard copy dvd if you can. I did. As Splunge mentioned, it's a weird movie and isn't everyone's cup of tea. But, it blew me away when it came out. A "holy shit!" flick, for sure. Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt, Christopher Plummer, Madeline Stowe, Frank Gorshin, David Morse... one of the greatest flicks of the 90's and one of the top sci fi movies, ever.

That is so awesome. Our only child will be 25 years old this weekend. I still remember the 28 hours of his birth like yesterday.
The best pic we ever got of him way back was, "Do you want to know if you're having a boy or a girl?"
Us: "Yes."
And there it was, a penis. Technician put an arrow pointing to it. Our boy's first picture. He was doing some sort of back flip, showing it off. Lol.

They used to be in refrigerated section of foods when Uno pizzas were sold here & weren't frozen. I never ate deep dish originals in the restaurants here.
I only thought of them a few months ago because store had their pizza skins or whatever they called them. Had those things once in restaurant friend suggested we get as an appetizer & it was too much for me. I expected potato skins & not that.
Sorry it sucked.

Our son was touch and go at the end. It was incredible, and I'd go through it all again in a heartbeat. And that was 25 years ago. I remember the ATL hospital was out of birthing rooms, and for the first 12 hours I was literally in a cleaning supply room. No shit! Wasn't at all like the glossy brochure.
You guys will be fine. And who knows, you may have more. But if not? You'll be happy and fulfilled like us, with one amazing kid.
A few hours after he was born, I held him close to my face and stuck my tongue out at him. He copied me. (I had read an article about newborns held close to their parents copying facial expressions, etc.) It was amazing.
