Real: UK Warns of Coming Mass Casualty Attacks on the West; Padua, Italy Bans All Further Permitting for Mosque Construction

While they're banning permits for mosque construction, they will "loosen" restrictions to allow more in-home religious observation.

Meanwhile, MI-5 says Al Qaeda is on the run, but unfortunately they're heading for major European capitals.

Speaking after gunmen killed 12 people in an assault on a French satirical newspaper, MI5 boss Andrew Parker warned a strike on the United Kingdom was highly likely.
"A group of core al Qaeda terrorists in Syria is planning mass casualty attacks against the West," Director General Parker said in a rare public speech at MI5 headquarters in London. His last public speech was in October 2013.
In the speech, planned before the killings in Paris, Parker said seasoned al Qaeda militants in Syria aimed to "cause large-scale loss of life, often by attacking transport systems or iconic targets” in the West."

Obama immediately declared that should Al Qaeda dare to attack US interests, he would be ready, willing, and able to deploy a speech on community college subsidies.

Also over at Hot Air, stuff you probably know, like that the Charlie Hebdo terrorists said they were trained by Al Qaeda -- in Yemen, I think I read, but don't trust my memory -- and the Vincennes hostage taker confirmed he was coordinating with the Charlie Hebdo terrorists.

You know, one thing Parker added was that there were simply too many terrorists for police to keep tabs on.

In Sydney, even though the hostage taker was a well-known Muslim nut, they did not keep tabs on him, explaining there are just too many such people on the terror watch lists for the police to keep their eyes on.

France obviously let many high-threat terrorists (ones with previous terrorist convictions, for god sake) out from under their watchful eyes. I assume this is because they have too many terrorists to watch.

Now Andrew Parker of MI-5 says there are too many terrorists to keep up with.

Seems we better start reducing the number of terrorists in our countries or we will have to accept them reducing the number of Westerners living in the west.

I agree with Vic. Islam is not compatible with Western civilization, and sharia law is not compatible with the United States Constitution.

It would require a Constitutional amendment declaring that Islam is a totalitarian political ideology masquerading as a religion, and thus is not entitled to First Amendment protection. This has the additional advantage of being true.

I don't think there is the slightest chance that such an amendment could be ratified in the present climate. And after a few more mass-casualty attacks, it will be too late. Enraged patriots will start slaughtering Muslims without regard for such legal niceties.

But that is the way to go, and it would avoid much suffering and bloodshed.

Islam advocates the violent overthow of all systems other than itself (i.e., it advocates the violent overthrow of the U.S. Government), as such, existing law would be sufficient to outlaw it. I am not sure I would call us the "Strong Horse" here. Just stronger- which is a pretty low bar to clear. We barely manage to step over it at the moment.

Plus, there is a high likelihood that if a Jihadist tried one of these types of attacks here, some guy would shoot him.

The funny thing is that in certain places, this type of thing would work (New York, LA, places with high amounts of gun control.)

To repeat a story. A muzzie surgeon saved my dad's life with innovative heart surgery. During that time, I and my family talked with him on many occasions and he always seemed a very kind and gentle person. He also established the first mosque here in OKC. It was not involved with the radical mosque which was built later that led to the beheading.

Having said all that, I still wish that his mosque would make a statement comdemning jihad. But they haven't. So I remain with mixed feelings about the true aspirations of any islamic assembly.
