Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics

Remember the "600,000 civilian deaths in Iraq at the hands of the U.S. military" meme? Eh, perhaps not so much.

This just reinforces my personal view that science and politics is a baaaaad combination.

1 You know, (true story) a grad school girl from California went over there to go door to door and collect "the true numbers" because, of course, the military lies.

She was blown up by a IED.
