Llone Star Llama Blegging
I have to go to Texas next week, hitting Dallas, San Antonio and Houston in rapid succession.
Travel usually wears me out. Plus, I hate eating alone in public. So I may well wind up hiding in my hotel and ordering room service each night. Nonetheless, any recommendations about good foody spots would be appreciated. Specifically, what's the best Tex-Mex down on the Riverwalk these days? Yip! Yip!

Haven't been in San Antonio in 6 years or so. Can't tell you. But if you happen to be in Fort Worth, try Joe T. Garcia's. Specifically for the Mex side of the equation.

Joe T.'s is great. In San Antonio, skip Riverwalk and head to Southtown (http://www.texasmonthly.com/preview/2006-06-01/streetsmarts).

Re: Southtown, Rosario's is possibly the foodiest Tex-Mex in SA, but it's no place you'd want to eat alone. On the Riverwalk I like Boudro's for foodiness, though it's not exactly Tex-Mex. Casa Rio is classic for that.
