Light Fuse, Stand Back - Domestic Division

The eldest Llama-ette is close to finishing Old Yeller, which she's reading for the first time. She hasn't the faintest idea what's in store. This could get ugly.

2 Ugh. What's next? Where the Red Fern Grows? (Though I'll take WTRFG over Old Yeller any day just from a story perspective.) Poor kid.

3 Ah, well, it's all part of growing up. In the long run, it's good for 'em. I remember a few books that made me cry when I was a kid, too, the top one being Sterling North's Rascal.

5 I once took at date to see "Old Yeller", having never seen it as a kid, and not knowing the ending.
Upon reflection, you can't overestimate the value of good intel....
