Dan Fogelberg: 1951-2007
Yesterday, singer/songwriter Dan Fogelberg lost his battle with prostate cancer. Fogelberg's songs left many musical memories for me when I was growing up in the late seventies and eighties. Considering the time of year I thought I'd post a video tribute of "Same Auld Lang Syne", which is the song that has probably most left an impression on me.

Thanks for the post, Gary. I am sorry to hear of Mr. Fogelberg's passing. I've always had a fondness for this song and the video was lovely.
As for the liquor store/bar line ... I remember growing up that near my grandpa's there was a hole-in-the-wall liquor store that seemed to be open 367 days a year 25 hrs. day even when businesses for miles around were closed.
Wonder if that place is still there ...

Not a big Fogelberg fan, but I love this song. Cancer is a wicked bitch.

Thanks. Always loved his music even though he had many songs much stronger than this one. Still remember watching him play a show in Rochester in the mid 70's with the entire crowd singing the chorus of "There's a Place in the World for a Gambler."
Will spend the remainder of the week playing the eight albums (vinyl) that I have.
