Automotive bleg
I drive a 2005 Ford Escape, which has been a good vehicle for all purposes (running over hippies, etc).
However, Mr. Skinny put a CD that they made in school into the CD changer, and it won't eject, giving the "Eject Error" message. (It's a single CD player) Nothing in the owner's manual, and a cursory review of websites were saying things like "take it to the dealer to buy a new CD player." This I refuse to do. Suggestions? Other than taking up humming.

Couple of possible things to try.
Little hole on the lower left side of the CD Player. Through the fuzz. Take a paper clip and see if you can use that eject port.
Try holding down buttons on the face and turning on the unit.
If possible take the CD player out of the dash with power still connected and flip it over and try to eject.
Good luck

Hey steve, try taking the face plate off....that should give you enough room to shove a paper clip or something in there and try to jiggle it loose. I also recommend going digital : ) Hope you fix it!!

Had same problem in my GMC truck. Troubleshooting web suggested disconnecting battery for ten minutes to completely reset the cd player. That did the trick for me.
