Gratuitous Legal Research Observation

You know, if Westlaw were to add a spell-check function to its search engine thingy, it might save all of us a lot of time and aggrevation.

Grrrr.

UPDATE: No, I'm not going to tell you which word I misspelled. Too embarrassing.

1 but then West wouldn't make nearly as much money! I've always disliked using either Westlaw or Lexis - it just feels wrong to send that bill to the clients. There's a service called Casemaker that does a lot of the same things that Westlaw and Lexis does, and it's free for members of the Indiana bar - I would presume that they have similar arrangements with other bars, as well.

2 There is a nifty little feature of Firefox. Right mouse click in the field in question and select "spell check this field."

Aside from general text-entry fields being spell checked, this is useful - for those of us spelling impaired - for post titles, etc.

It could have a better dictionary, but you can't have everything.
