Nine month old horse visits the ocean for the first time.

Man refuses to be rescued from a major flood without his beloved dog.

Retired Canadian female photographer who spends her days making miniature sets she can photograph chipmunks in is either a genius or a lunatic. Probably both.

One week's worth of network TV promos from 1986. The first two and a half minutes are promos for TV movies of the week that you probably won't remember. The TV show promos don't fully begin until 3:15.

What TV is really like in the UK.

Stella the leaf-leaping dog hides in leaves like Rambo in Vietnam.

A kitten, a puppy, a chicken, and a bunny go to bed together. It's like Sunday at James Talarico's Confirmed Bachelor Pad.

Wolves employ pack tactics to deliver nose boops.

Wild rabbit befriends house cat who's missing her dog friend.

It's a family reunion pool party as a dog meets his mom and litter-mates.

Like Dogs, Bears carry the majority of their delicate sensory equipment right up front on their faces.

They are very wary of animals that can damage that area. Be it a cat, for its speed ... or a porcupine, for its quills. They will respect them even if they outweigh them by order of magnitude.

Friend of mine has had several wolf over the years. His biggest male could ragdoll me without even trying. He would put his head just below my hip and toss me in the air if he was feeling playful. No effort involved.
He also had a huge crush on my female lab and was an absolute simp for her.

However, there is fellow who breeds and trains shelties for service animals, and he often brings two or three in to Freddie's to test their training. He does get permission to do that in advance. They are the cutest darned dogs ever but of course they are working, so no touchee.

40 Florida narrowly avoided voting in sex fetish pest over Desantis.

Talarico put a lid on his campaign, and news about his own sex fetishes leaked, too late to affect the election.

Anyone smart will be digging into all of his past and giving him an enema. He cloaks himself in Christian language to the point of sacrilege. He called himself David fighting against Goliath and I bet church ladies think he's a nice boy. They need to expose what he really is, so that trails behind him in the open. No one is that smug unless they are hiding a live girl or dead boy, as they say.

Having a couple of sled dogs, who are at least partly Husky, I can attest that critter chasing is inborn. Piper (the dog, not the commenter) collected a squirrel that was hiding in the wood pile on the front porch. It tried to run around the garage, but Piper corners at about 30 mph so it really had no chance. We had the garage painted this summer, and usually the squirrels just run across the wood siding, but it is apparently to slippery now, so the poor little thing was toast.

Ruby prefers mice or voles, but she's just as deadly.

And when a moose shows up? All hell breaks loose. We keep them inside for that nonsense. A moose could easily dispatch a dog, just like a wolf. Those hooves are deadly.

53 Mass had a issue this year where the State Auditor, who is a Dem, tried to audit the State Legislature.

MA courts and bureaucrats blocked her arguing that she didn't have the power to do so (note she CLEARLY did) and the only reason she was blocked is what she might find.

So...she worked with others to get a ballot initiative giving her office the power to audit the legislature. It won by a ridiculous margin.

This being MA though all the communist members of the legislature were re-elected as well. A reporter asked them today if they were going to go along with the audit now and the answer was something to the effect of, we'd love to because we want transparency but you know the ballot question just wasn't constitutionally right so...well...we have other things to focus on now

Massholes never learn. They'll re-elect the same communists 2 years from now after they block the audit the whole time as well...

Hello everyone,

Your kind words have meant the world to my family and I this past week. I still cannot believe how much you have all rallied behind us, and I can never thank you enough. I’ve been able to spend lots of extra time at home with my family this week...

If you have the means and would like to continue helping others, please consider supporting another fundraiser, a local charity, or a church helping families in need this holiday season.

This will be my last update as I focus on my family, and we enjoy the holidays together. Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and for making my family feel so supported. We will never forget it.

99 According to author David Wigg, Queen singer Freddie Mercury grew frustrated trying to record a duet with Jackson, "There Must Be More to Life Than This", because of Jackson's insistence that Bubbles be in the studio. According to Wigg, "Michael made Bubbles sit between them and would turn to the chimp between takes and ask, 'Don't you think that was lovely?' Or, 'Do you think we should do that again?' After a few days of this, Freddie just exploded ... 'I'm not performing with a fucking chimp sitting next to me each night.'" Mercury left the project and released the song as a solo artist in 1985

I mostly prep out of my garden. I'm putting up Ham Bean Soup tomorrow, at least 15 jars at a time. I have dried potatoes, dried carrots, several kinds of herbs, dried red and green peppers, lots of good stuff.

I'll do beef veggie soup next week. Same dealio. Buy cheap beef, add veggies and broth and can it.

Good cheap meals, and easy once it's all done.

I also keep several pounds of rice, but I haven't figured out how to store flour very well long term. I think you need a bunch of those packets that keep stuff dry, and frankly, they give me the heebie jeebies. Made in China or something.

Of course the most important stash is the alcohol and beer. Can't run out of the staples, you know?

I posted this earlier today:

Since we have 2 years before the next elections, we should spend the 1st 6 months *purging* those who pretended to be on "our" side that weren't.

Let's start with Thune. I don't want him out of Republican leadership. I want him out of the Republican party. Let him caucus with the Dems--at least we'd all know where we stand.

And there's about 100 more stops along the way until we wind up with all of the turncoats who "wrote in" Ralph Norman in South Carolina (whom Graham had beaten in the Republican primary). I don't care if it was only a couple of hundred write-in votes, or a couple of thousand, and I don't care if it wouldn't have changed the results. Those write-ins were a betrayal of the party, and the fact that any of us know about it means that perhaps other people stayed home rather than coming out to vote for the Republican candidate.
