Good morning kids. Well, here we are and after yesterday about the only kernel of normalcy I can offer is that being a midterm election it's not unexpected and indeed usually the norm that the party in power generally loses the majority in Congress. Although 2006 was a huge exception to that notion. Besides that, at least we won't have to endure the preening, strutting and hutzpocritical crowing of slag shit-whore RINO Susan Collins despite being ousted by Nazi devotee Graham Platner. Not that she advanced the cause of freedom and the American agenda during her tenure, either sitting on her hands or otherwise joining with the Democrats to advance their heathen policies and agenda in the name of "bipartisanship." Mercifully, she's gone, but we are in for a rough time going forward, as the tale of the tape shows. It’s the first midterm election since 2006 that a party out of power has won back both chambers.Oh terrific, Mr. President? You'll be making deals with terrorists that let them destroy whatever still remains of America incrementally instead of in one fell swoop? As with Iran, the President is clueless as to who and what he is dealing with. So for the past two years Mr. President, what have the Democrats compromised on that conceded even a scintilla of the MAGA agenda. I believe the answer is nothing. Not one damned thing? They spent every moment since you were first sworn in and before it trying to impeach you as well as persecuting not only your cabinet members and advisers but even average Americans for the treasonous act of buying a MAGA hat or even donating a buck to your campaign. At best we'll have gridlock but we're going to get it right in the neck. They have telegraphed a not-so-subtle message: reprisals are coming. . . What’s driving the desire for reprisals? With all due respect to the erudite and estimable Christopher Rufo, Brazilification is the wrong word. It's Bolshevization if not outright Nazification because win lose or draw, their opponents, meaning us and anyone who dares even raise an eyebrow in disagreement, will not be going to prison, or if so it's merely a pre-execution holding cell. With bust-out socialists as well as a Muslim Brotherhood Senator now ensconced in power, I cannot even imagine where we go from here should PLEASE GOD the Democrats are indeed kept in check for the final years of the Trump presidency and beyond! So the puzzler for me is how did yesterday happen especially given the fact that a Donald Trump election three times and at the barest of minimums his candidacy in the first place represent a negation of the negation that was and is Obama and Clinton and Leftism in general happened in the first place? Solve that riddle and at the very least we have a shot at saving America. For now buy guns and ammo while we still can — I know I will be — and speak out while you still can. Ugh, what a horrid waking nightmare. But that said, don't let yesterday get you down. Take comfort in family and friends and have faith in the LORD. We shall overcome so on that note, regardless of everything horrible, count your blessings and have a good day, one and all!

I was blindingly, catastrophically wrong about this election.
And therefore I'm wrong about the follow-on effects. My predicate assumptions have been completely vaporized. I thought Crockett would be able to play the 'I'da beat that honkey's ass!' card, guaranteeing a Kamala nomination in 28. Welp. That honkey got his ass beat. By a kiddie diddler, and that means - I think - AOC's in the catbird seat now. Texas and California are gone. That gives you President AOC with both houses and SCOTUS. This election was a referndum on Trump and not making Americans great again (foreign policy, America is great, but domestic they are all suffering).
It's not his 100% fault everyone 17-64 has been dealing with entry level jobs disappearing to AI and those remaining getting stagnant salaries, beef and other food prices staying skyrocketed (we now know beef prices matter way more than egg ones), gas being sky high, health insurance looking at continual double digit increases... But he didn't empathize. He didn't try to help. He cheered AI and data centers. Tariffs were added with no direct benefit to Americans, but only the government coffer. So, Americans paid more and didn't feel anyithing for it. Then, DOW got a huge increase and we went to war with Iran, and Americans didn't feel any benefit - instead, it was more pain. And the promised benefits of deprtation also still brought almost nothing, except more security. All while they saw Trump fixate and sound off on petty things (pick what would go viral - the reflecting pool, the Kennedy Center, etc). And Congress didn't do anything to help, either. Instead, they were a brick wall who did nothing. Posted by: Nova Local at November 04, 2026 07:17 AM (Gb7+b) 28

In my opinion, prudent businessmen need to reconsider relocating/expanding to/in Wisconsin. The first seizure was the state supreme court. Incumbents there were lifers until one devised a novel theory of liability which made business difficult. He was voted out. Since then no incumbent can win on the purely political court.

Looking at numbers, Republican turnout isn't too different from 2022. Which again seems to imply that the working class TrumpOnly voter(not all working class but the portion attributable to him) didn't show up in off-years. This seems to make them a bad bet for 2028.
We've yet to see the attribution for the substantially increased Democrat turnout, but the general spread seems to indicate it's Hispanic. Young white men 18-29, regardless of location (city vs rural) voted for Ds by 17 points. They were the big swing, and I doubt they were fraud. They voted what they are feeling, which is pain and an inability to get started in life.
People under 30, in general, skew Socialist. Much more than anytime I can remember. And, as always, I just follow the Population Density. As a population trends more Urban, its going to willingly choose more regulation. More of what is called Liberalism here. Just how it works. Why did Texas do what it did ? The dirt isn't magic. There isn't some "Texas Spirit" that permeates the body. Texas voted blue last night because of all those roads getting built in Houston. All those new apartments in Dallas. I made this bit of spew at CTH this morning. Although the loss is in line with precedent the direction of the nation is far more dire.
Well. It WAS hopium after all. Now we’ll have full-on moslem, and communist, and female brains pulling the levers. The Detroit, Los Angeles, and NYC models are coming to your still and quiet town International friction increased overnight, a release of tension is near so look for a fire and look for movement in power centers; the Some big brain please explain how we extract ourselves from the mire. And let’s not pretend some spark of grass-roots energy will propel a movement forward to restoration because no it won’t. When has it ever? What fractures power is more power not passive acceptance of fate. Single-payer? Coming. Destruction of military readiness? Coming. Pink Power and Queer Rights? Coming. Nationalized energy? Coming. Great Big Giant Tax increases? Coming. Middle class disappearance? Coming. Gains of the past few years erased? Coming. Mass “prayer” in the streets? Coming. The inertia of any move (if there ever has been such a thing) to limited Constitutional governance is dissipated; the best we can do now is diminish the losses. Its not them. Its "us". How long will it be before all the same people start talking up backing the GOP in 2028 ? I give it less than a month. For reasons such as "its the only logical play" and "you fight with the party you've got". Don't forget my personal favorite "but things will get worse before they get better". And on and on. The only reason we got Trump in the first place is because he jumped the line. That won't happen again. In 2018 we got over 50 House member retiring in order to give away half of Congress. Before that, the GOP response to the Tea Party wave was to reject it. They're just not an opposition party. Never will be. Its like trying to push a rope. No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the average American. Advertising works as does propaganda. There'll be a lot of analysis, but the answer is simple. Perhaps 90+% of the 'Rons are Party-loyal Republicans. You might grouse about them constantly, but at the end of the day, no matter how many times they betrayed you, you always came back. Voting GOP is like being jumped into a gang, or taking an oath in front of a community of believers - blood in, blood out. But... Trump Voters =/= GOP Voters. Many of his voters are indifferent or hostile toward your Party. That's why many of you get mad at them and can't understand why they elected Trump three times, but give the GOP nothing in midterms - you view them like Democrats view blacks... that the GOP owns their votes, and that they owe it loyalty. They don't. The Party can't treat them like it treated you. They voted for MAGA populism. It needed to deliver on the MAGA populist agenda - and I mean BIGLY - or they were going to stay home. It didn't deliver a single damn thing for 12 straight years, so neither did they. Blame them all you like, but the fact of the matter is that Donald Trump served up a once-in-a-century mass movement to the GOP on a silver platter, and they threw it on the ground and walked away. Thanks for trying, but this is a disaster. In 2022 the "red wave" became a trickle. This is a true blue wave. The Senate is gone for many years now, as the Dems hold seats for 6 years in places like Ohio, Kansas, Texas, South Carolina, Iowa where they have no business holding them. Collins was the GOPs one seat in a place they shouldn't have it. Can Thomas and Alito serve on the court for another 6 years? I doubt it. Just imagine them getting replaced by KBJ clones. We could all be seriously screwed.

-- I don't think passing the SAVE Act would have been in effect last night anyway. But, that's not really the point: I think the point is, that was the inflection, the final betrayal where everyone knew the R party had no interest in doing anything the public wanted--no matter how popular. Even if they held the Senate this year. And let's go back and look, Paxton would have dropped out, they could have saved Cornyn and maybe the country. Instead--they chose spite. Having high gas and diesel prices hurt. I don't think we would have lost in Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska with lower prices. I don't blame the war in Iran for this since we had to take action against that regime. We need to have more spare capacity in our refineries - we are running at 98% and this is too narrow of a margin.
The Dems won't do anything to help this out. They'll most likely make this worse, and this is just one thing that they'll screw up. Perhaps the public will notice that the Dems simply should not be trusted with the economy in 2028 and keep a Republican in the White House. I don't know but I will work hard to make it so. Trump will not get to pick any replacements for Alito or Thomas if they chose to retire between now and Jan. For the next 2 years, nobody Trump selects will ever get confirmed. Then, it's time for 2028. If we lose that, the Supreme Court will change forever. At least the Communists won't feel such a need to pack the SCOTUS at that point... Posted by: Lady in Black at November 04, 2026 07:57 AM (qBdHI) Trump also can't pick any replacements for his cabinet, so they are in for the duration, or those cabinets' work falls by the wayside... If the Donks do what they usually do when they gain complete control, f*** with the election systems and you get RCV and jungle primaries and ballot harvesting and ballot curing, etc. Then no GOP candidate can win Texas in those circumstances as the donks will control all the levers of the apparatus. The ask is unclear. They got tariffs and other policy changes in those years, none of them motivated them to vote mid-terms. It's not like they flipped back and forth either.
--- They got things they wanted from Trump - not them. From the 2017 House budget that killed the Wall, to the SAVE act in 2026, they stopped every piece of legislation that Trump wanted - along with almost everything else. Two GOP Senates were graveyards for his agenda. They watched during this time as that Party (at best) rolled over and played dead during his investigations and impeachments, high-fived Nancy Pelosi during the electoral coup, exulted in calling his movement an insurrection, got the vapors during his lawfare travails, and on and on. This Party is 110% responsible for its litany of failures and it only ever won anything because of Trump and in spite of themselves. It was a thousand cuts that bled MAGA dry. Some I was thinking on:
- Bondi and her goofy stunt of Epstein files. - Then letting her further humiliate him by dragging out the release so badly the GOPe united with the Dems to force him to sign a bill over it. Why did he waste so much political capital on that shit? - ICE raids. We cheered the big show in the blue cities. And got f all for it. But gave the left rally cries. And helped our enemies reduce their crime to boot. - while leaving big ag and other business in red states that hired illegals untouched. - Jobs sure. That went to women and minorities. DEI didn't die. - so many high profile arrests that were dismissed or botched. - Sitting on the Covid files, letting Grassley trickle them out, so little and redacted, that the media easily ignored--and no one arrested or even sweating over their illegality - letting all the J6 persecutors off scott-free. - the silly fight with Musk when the problem was in the Capital. How the fuck are people still going on with this "Good tsar Trump undone by the evil party" shtick? The problem is him. The public hates him, and there are good reasons why. He's a terrible president, and trying to gaslight people otherwise failed.
Posted by: Don't Blame Me, I Wanted DeSantis at November 04, 2026 08:11 AM ( Yup, you've nailed it. Everyone I know was very enthusiastic about every Republican except Trump, and especially DeSantis. I remember so many people saying to me that they craved Ron's high-minded conservatism and were so disappointed in Trump that they regretted having to crawl over broken glass to vote for him. "THOSE FOOLS IN IOWA," they lamented while beating their breasts, "if only they'd given our standard bearer a single primary win, we would be in the promised land!" The funny thing is that I was more optimistic this election.
The one thing I was going to keep my eye on is the effect of California redistricting. At this point, it looks like the Cali GOP congressional delegation is going to be, at a minimum, halved, going from 8 to 4, but a couple of the other races are close, so they may go down to 1 or 2 seats. The GOP may be completely dead in California after this election. Wild. Posted by: Thomas Bender at November 04, 2026 08:20 AM (XV/Pl) 312

Now that they are in full control of Texas, they will take control of the elections and voter rolls like Hobbs did in Arizona and Whitmer did in Michigan in order to ensure that Texas stays permanently blue. Which means it will be impossible for a Republican to win the presidency again.
-- I wonder how many people actually know this is coming for TX. This has been the D blueprint for states for a while now. All they have to do is get in. Reminder:
Instituting an income tax in Texas requires a constitutional amendment that is voted on by the people. Gina can't do shit but get congress to put it on the ballot and shill for it. We'll see then just how fucked the state is. As of right now, it's strictly forbidden by the state constitution. In Texas, the income tax referendum process was significantly changed by Proposition 4, approved in 2019, which prohibits the state from levying an income tax on individuals without a two-thirds legislative vote and a statewide referendum. This means that any future attempt to impose an income tax would require a substantial legislative majority and voter approval. Inflation and high gas prices matter if people are told it matters.
This time people were encouraged to complain about it. Trump's war is absurd, without any explanation, serving no purpose. Plus political ads about Jews raising prices for everyone. Last time, experts explained to that core inflation or whatever was much smaller than uninformed people thought and besides it's for a good cause. People like to be told by experts what to think, especially when it's counterintuitive. It's probably the same impulse that makes one appreciate stage magicians, hypnotists, and optical illusions. Are they telling a good story? No, it's atrocious, but they're telling their atrocious story effectively and compellingly..." Posted by: runner at November 04, 2026 08:36 AM (AKptf) 391
Sponge, Hinajosa ran on pushing for a state income tax. Everything from the Gov to the dog catcher are now dems so on the ballot it will be.
Posted by: Ben Had at November 04, 2026 08:35 AM (8Uo7a) She needs 2/3 of the state legislature to put it on the ballot. I don't think they have that much in their pocket. The GOPe got rid of Paxton......a state income tax seems suicidal after that. Posted by: Sponge - F*ck Cancer at November 04, 2026 08:36 AM (ccf/V) 392

The DNC-DSA op is part of capturing the "youth" away from Trump who seemed to make America and not being a communist "cool" for a short scary time for them. I do think that's gonna be the shape of the op as we continue here. Young People Adore Communism is coming for us and it's been obvious to me since June. Although I have been clear the GOP deserves nothing, I didn't think they would be able to sweep them away the way they have. But looking back on it I guess I'm not surprised. 330 Now that they are in full control of Texas, they will take control of the elections and voter rolls like Hobbs did in Arizona and Whitmer did in Michigan in order to ensure that Texas stays permanently blue. Which means it will be impossible for a Republican to win the presidency again.
-- I wonder how many people actually know this is coming for TX. This has been the D blueprint for states for a while now. All they have to do is get in. Then they fix the rest to ensure complete dominance. And most catastrophic of all, it will reverberate throughout the entire country as presidential elections will likely never go R again. I'm just being a realist. Posted by: Lady in Black at November 04, 2026 08:24 AM (qBdHI) ****** This is exactly how I feel. Ted Cruz's Senate seat will be up in two years and I feel it's going to go to the Dems. I just don't see us resolving anything with voters in two years, which could end up being a complete wipeout for our side. Posted by: redridinghood at November 04, 2026 08:37 AM (wzaBj) 394

387 Inflation and high gas prices matter if people are told it matters.
Posted by: PG at November 04, 2026 08:36 AM (YAu8A) The GOP will always be running against adversarial media. 2022, high inflation, high gas prices, Ukraine war, terrible GOP mid-term performance The coalition and policy planks need to be resorted, and not on the basis of things that aren't driving results. It will be interesting to see a full analysis of the vote based on facts. It looks like a lot of voters were sour on the economy and their reason for voting Democrat was for change. I am not certain of the logic and I am unclear what they expected economically, or what the Democrats plan actually is for that, but I suppose the socialist message should be a giant clue. Texas is a complete shock and it looks like in many places Republicans didn’t get out to vote.

And WI is disappointing, it's not yet PA. City & State: ‘These Zionist establishments must go!’ Organizers of upcoming Philly ‘Boycott Ride’ target Jewish-owned eateries A coalition of pro-Palestinian activists plans to intimidate Jewish-owned businesses on the eve of the 88th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the Nazi night of terror that destroyed thousands of Jewish homes and businesses. -- Pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel groups organized a bicycle rally starting at Rittenhouse Square with flyers promoting a boycott under slogans like "No business for Zionists." (Ref. JNS+1) (The central message printed on the promotional flyers declares: "No business for Zionists! These Zionist establishments must go! Not in our city!") The organizers are urging biking participants to join a ride through Rittenhouse (fancy, fancy!) to confront targeted business owners, expressing solidarity with Palestinians. The broader boycott targets a certain restaurant group, with organizers stating that the owners materially and ideologically support the occupation and raise funds for Cont'd Posted by: L - No nic... at November 04, 2026 08:42 AM (NFX2v) 415
related interest groups. Additional locations (stores, delis) were included due to their close biking distance to the Rittenhouse Square starting point.
Aside from one, all the other businesses are owned by American Jews, a distinction not evident in the rally flyer. The "Boycott Ride" protest in Philadelphia is still scheduled to take place on November 8, 2026. Senators Dave McCormick and John Fetterman have criticized the event as intimidation and rank antisemitism. Posted by: L - No nic... at November 04, 2026 08:42 AM (NFX2v) 416
