First World Problems...

SpiderLight26.jpg

You can't see it? You can't see it. YOU CAN"T SEE IT!

That is the perfidy of the spider! The evidence, its web, is invisible to the camera, so a charge, trial, and execution is impossible.

But I know it is there. And there will be consequences.

Replace the fixture? Of course. That is the minimalist response. Also in the mix is a removal and replacement of the ceiling and wiring. And certainly replacement of the ceiling joists is a reasonable approach.

No...I did not ignore fire. Cleansing fire!

Whenever I have a situation like this, I ask myself: What is the spider eating? As long as it stays in its cave and procreates strictly at a one-one replacement rate, I might be okay with it.

Can't help noting the Haley Stevens flip: she's doing it because of patriotism, not ideology. I think this is how we win long-term.

64 Bad things keep happening to bad people. Man, GatewayPundit is on fire today....

California election officials have told a federal judge that Department of Justice letters, grand jury subpoenas, and warnings of criminal liability over potential noncitizen voting have caused “severe” mental health concerns, including fear, anxiety, and poll worker no-shows, according to declarations filed last week.
The claims come as the Trump administration presses counties to address lists of voters flagged as likely noncitizens ahead of the November 3 midterms.

In court papers submitted as part of a lawsuit by unions and civil rights groups seeking to halt the DOJ’s actions, Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters Matt Moreles stated that “the federal government’s conduct has had and continues to have a severe chilling effect on my staff and me.”

82 Yeah, all the right words. The bedraggled appearance as if she's been living on bread and water for three days. The trembling voice. And just out of frame, a furious mother whose real estate biz has been compromised pointing a gun at her head. On the other side, an immigration lawyer making sure she sticks to the script.

I really hate that I find her pretty....physically. But she is. Maybe that's why this will be worse for her. Triggleypuff going off....no biggy. But a pretty girl. Every opportunity ahead of her. And she's this evilly stupid...

I did call the Mom's real estate offices Friday. No-one was picking up. UTSA - sounded like an Indian guy and I worked for a dot-Indian computer company in Ohio - claimed no knowledge of the incident and no one else calling. Sure.

The liberals have a set script when they've crossed the line. This is following it perfectly.

CA driver's license is correct! SSN would be the other correct answer. Joining both answers with the magic word "and" awards you a double bonus as the website returns bupkis without both of these common forms of ID.

And now, for the stout-hearted among you only, who wants to tell the class which of these items are required to actually cast a vote in California's elections?

In California it is easier to register and vote, than to un-register to vote.

The Dems really have worked out quite the voting system for themselves out west.

Posted by: SpeakingOf at November 01, 2026 04:12 PM (6ydKt)

108 CA driver license, even though there's a "non-citizen" box for illegals, I think. And every interaction with the state in any way results in a "Register to Vote!" opportunity which I assume has zero safeguards. Recall the LA authorities admitted they had no way of knowing if a registered voter was an illegal. Which means there is zero integrity to the entire system.

And 90% of "educated" (lol) Californians have no idea about this, and even if it were explained to them (as to a 10-yr old, which is the level they require), they wouldn't see the problem.

The Democrat party, especially in its strongholds, has turned getting around the law, and working out the loopholes to get around laws, into an art form.

If you want a historical tour of voter cheating in the US, read the Carter-Baker Commission staff addendum.

Over 700 pages of history regarding election cheating in the US up to 2005.

But the hardest and least likely to pull off en masse nowadays is person votes in the flesh with a government issued id and gets a paper ballot. Ballots are tabulated at the precinct before it shuts down and results transmitted in paper and fax to both the county and state at the same time.

No usb keys, no internet, no fake and gay voting machines.

Cautiously optimistic on GOP retention of the House. GOP will hold the Senate with what Haley Stevens did. Bravest public act I've seen as a Democrat since Zell Miller perhaps. Thanks to Manchin and Sinema for keeping the filibuster in place too during the Biden years.

154 Yep whig secure voting is an obvious and easy thing to achieve and is the norm in much of the world. In person, ID, paper ballots, transparent tabulation process. It's obvious common sense.

I consider the farce that are US elections - any involving any electronics or machines other than electro-mechanical punch-card readers (reliable, easily calibrated, allowing infinite re-runs) - a pretty good collective civic IQ score for the country. Thus why the country is an alien place in a sense, deserving no respect or loyalty.

Haley Maria Stevens[1] (born June 24, 1983) is an Israeli American "bitch" serving as the U.S. representative from Michigan's 11th congressional district and AIPAC since 2019. As a member of the Democratic Party, Stevens represents most of urbanized Oakland County, including many of Detroit's northern suburbs. She got kicked out for being a sore loser.

She ran for the Democratic nomination in the 2026 U.S. Senate election in Michigan, losing to Abdul El-Sayed. Initially endorsing El-Sayed, she then endorsed his Republican opponent Mike Rogers two days before the election. She is known for being to Benjamin Netanyahu what Monica Lewinsky was to Bill Clinton.

Resistance judges keep trying but their rulings are increasingly getting shitcanned quickly now. FWIW, summary rulings and exparte rulings like San Fran judge did are the most of all overturned trial judge decisions. Plus, a judge lacks the power to dismiss an investigation and grand jury even if a judge. Idiot judge in San Fran is about to learn that as well. Separation of powers.

214 Thanks whig but where does that leave things. I assume there is plenty of time to segregate fake Sullivan ballots, but not much more than that. If those ballots could be segregated, and votes for fake Sullivan not counted, the issue would be remedied - on the public interest side. Prosecution of those involves is separate and of course would be important. But a ridiculous outcome where the real Sullivan loses due to this stunt plus "ranked choice voting" would be as outrageously stolen an election as 2020 prez, with no recourse (other than the Senate refusing to seat Peltola, but the GOP hasn't been capable of such routine but "controversial" duties since I as born).
