The movie or the documentary? I couldn't sit through the movie, but the documentary was interesting.

I was surprised how easy it was for art dealers and promoters to create a new superstar overnight, from literally nothing, and the supposedly sophisticated (and very rich) art collectors just lapped it up. Talk about NPCs ....

Basquiat had some talent, and he certainly knew how to manipulate homosexuals like Warhol, but he basically painted the same thing over and over ... and over.

This is a masterpiece of American landscape painting. It touches geometric abstraction in how the buildings are represented and at the same time are perfectly understood as real objects. The colors are spectacular and ground the scene in a serenity; Edward Hopper went here all the time - this is completely American. This period of American art and photography has become my favorite.

Propaganda works. If it didn't they wouldn't do it.

What they love more than anything is demoralizing us.

But you know what they love more? Demoralizing their own people. And faking polls before an election could accomplish both. Us before and their own after.

With their own people shattered they get angrier, more disappointed, more miserable.

And our celebration if it happens will be short lived because they just start demoralizing with something else shortly thereafter. Kamala being unstoppable or whatever. And. It. Works.

People include the House because we remember the ACA repeal bills easily passing the House under Paul Ryan and then suddenly not even being brought to the floor once Trump was president.

The skepticism is historically warranted.

However, Johnson did pass the OBBB which tripled ICE and cut off a bunch of benefits to illegals, which the Senate then passed. So, I suspect that Johnson is different from Ryan.

The donks control the entire apparatus in NYS so they can pretty much do what they want.

Basically Blue states are becoming bluer, red states are becoming redder and since blue states tend to have bigger populations, I think we are starting to tend back to a point where everything is locked in and the donks will have a slight numerical edge going forward.

I fully expect them to whittle down the Cali and NY congressional GOP to next to nothing so, I think they take control of the house.

And since the GOP in many places doesn't want to rock the boat and redistirct, the Donks will have the numerical edge for a while.

When has the NYT ever done narrative framing? Did they do it over Russia collusion? Did they do it over the Ukraine phone call? Did they do it over J6? Did they do it over the raid on Mar A Lago?

In the last 2 days the NYT has done more journalism than they have done in the last 2 decades. That's odd for The Paper of Record.

That comparing day to day from 2026 early voting to 2024, the county level analysis of voting in Texas is showing that the electorate in Texas today is slightly to the left of what it was in 2024.

In 2024, Cruz won by 9 and Trump won by 14.

So, assume that Paxton wins as many Republicans as Cruz did (only 6% of Republicans voted for Beto in 201, and you're looking at Paxton on track to winning by about 7.

And this is how too many of elites view the Lord--as a Pez dispenser of fortune and grace. Since many of them don't really view Stan and his minions as real, bad things can only come from the Lord.

Saw something similar what Ted Turner hated Christianity and the Lord, he prayed for a beloved sister to live and she died. And held a grudge over it for the rest of his life against Christians because of it.

Rupert Murdoch dumped a Christian fiancee because she discussed her faith with him and he found the concept disturbing.

The glittery bright and beautiful invert the hierarchy into they deserve good things in their lives because of their wonderfulness. Bad things happening is reserved for the untermenschen.

330 >>> The Christian Post @ChristianPost Billy Crystal told CBS he doesn't talk to God anymore: "I don't trust Him. Too many bad things have happened."

It has taken me a long time, in my 29+ years of life, to understand this life is a test, and tests are by their very definition hard. That struggle is an essential part of it. And maybe god gives me hard things to work through BECAUSE he loves me, not because he hates me. And he will be with me every step of the way, if I lean on him.

Whenever Billy decides to talk to God again, God will be right there. He cares about us even we don't care about him.

The most poignant scripture to me at the moment is "Jesus wept." He knew he was about to resurrect their brother from the dead, and yet he wept and mourned with Mary and Martha. He weeps with us every day. And roots for us every day.

Anyone reading the Book of Job or viewing the sacrifice of Jesus in the New Testament along with the grisly martyrdom of saints should get the message.

During bad times, I was never tempted to blame the Lord, but instead blamed myself and individuals that were responsible. Prideful individuals though believe their good fortune comes from being good people rather than being humble despite repeated admonitions that one must be humble before the Lord. Even Moses nearly got killed for disobedience and was punished by never being able to enter the Promised Land.

Instead of reading the Bible, I think many of societal elites get their religion from attending services and it is not too popular nowadays for ministers/rabbis/etc to emphasize unpleasant truths in the Bible/Torah. We gloss over the bad things happening documented in the Good Book at our peril. And these even occur to those that the Lord views as his favorites because his plans are not ours.
