A White Leftwing Couple Bought a $1.5 Million Home in a Black Neighborhood in Austin. Nothing Bad Happened at All and Everyone Is Living in Racial Harmony.

Oh wait, that's not what happened at all.

What happened is racial redlining, enforced by blacks who say this is "OUR NEIGHBORHOOD!"

According to numerous clips, the woman left notes on cars near her $1.5 million home, telling drivers not to park there. The home is reportedly near a Historically Black College and University. The woman, who was white, got confronted, got huffy, dropped the school's reported 25 percent graduation rate, and now they're besieged.

The white couple have a Talafreako yard sign.

As a wise insane man said, You get what you deserve.

@AmiriKing

NIGHTMARE

A white couple in Austin is currently going through hell.

The couple had a minor disagreement with a neighbor about people parking in front of their home and not leaving them anywhere else to park.

Minor disagreement.

No big deal right? (The black woman tried to escalate it, as they always do)

The video was posted to Instagram and a bunch of blacks have come together to harass the couple.

The man even says in the video, 'Everybody go stand in front of her house and scare her to make her move.'

This is a crime.

- Stalking - Texas Penal Code sec. 42.072

- Harassment - Texas Penal Code sec. 42.07

- Terroristic threat - Texas Penal Code sec. 22.07

Gee I've heard that is a racial crime whose foul stain will never be erased when white people did it 70 years ago.

But now? It's just some good ol' fashioned anti-gentrification terrorism.

Terroristic KKK-style threats are just "the voice of the unheard."

That said -- to hell with this couple. I hope they're forced out and take a million dollar loss on the house.

Sorry for the lame posting today. I just realized I was raped two years ago and my poor work ethic is due to my Recovered Trauma.

So which is it? It makes sense to combine them when you are talking about the whole bunch. But in this case, there is one specific one near the house. And it is either a college or a university. It is not both.

Posted by: Gmac-WTF did you think was going to happen at October 14, 2026 03:41 PM (Q/FnY)

57 First, there is never any street parking near a university. Any urban university. College students don't have money to pay for parking, they will drive around the block forever, waiting for a spot to open up.
Second, their arrogance, wanting to prove their false social beliefs. Buying a home in this neighborhood was likely a political statement from them, not because they liked the house.
Third, the move to put notes on windshields, that is just stupid. It inflames the car owner, who then told the neighbors, and just like that, the only white family in the neighborhood becomes a self-made target.
The non-self awareness of these people sounds like they are true white liberals. They got what they asked for.

There is a reason that urban cities become notorious for too many regulations, laws, rules, etc. It is because they concentrate the assholes in a small geographic area and these rules, laws, regulations, have to be directed toward the lowest common denominator. Same reason that suburbs now have HOA Not Sees.

People behaving awful to each other and the ones that behave the most awful end up causing rules against their awfulness.

Cities concentrate people behaving badly so you end up with prison rules and customs for everyone to lessen the likelihood that person A shanks person B.

80 I get irrationally tooth-grindingly angry when someone parks in front of the house, especially as they usually do it to visit the house across the street. But its not illegal, as long as they don't block the driveway or park on the curb. Its just annoying. So I get where she's coming from to put notes on cars, but its Karen behavior. If they park there too long or ignore local parking ordinances you can call enforcement on them, don't leave notes.

81 I gotta tell ya, I'm kind of with the neighborhood on this one. It's on street parking. There's no dibs. You can't reserve a spot unless you cleared it of at least a foot and a half of snow, first. You don't get to be the local parking authority and boss your neighbors around because your pasty ass wrote a fucking note. Go fuck yourself. Move somewhere with a driveway. Take the damn bus. There was a movie that came out in 2021 called "Karen", which was essentially this scenario Ace wrote about, only of course it was a black couple trying to fit into an affluent white Atlantia suburb.

That movie was memorable to me for all the wrong reasons. Some notable moments - the white racist "Karen" antagonist had a confederate soap dispenser, her brother of course was a corrupt racist cop who also was part of "The Brotherhood", and Ben Crump himself had a part at the end where he decried the perils of huwhite racism while some guy on the side was playing on either trombone or a trumpet.

My house is 135 years old, has been renovated I dunno 10 times? A couple of additions along the way. Still has a lot of the original wood floors. It’s a really cool house.

But it needs work constantly. I knew what I was getting into though and it’s part of the deal. Also has just a tiny one car garage which sucks. I could use a 3 car garage easily.

Neighborhood is awesome, huge oak and maple trees, and every house is unique not cookie cutter shit in a subdivision. It’s a historic district so any new builds have to conform to the aesthetic of the neighborhood. And it’s walkable to just about anything I need. Very few houses are ever for sale and when they do go up they sell fast.

But it’s not for everyone obviously.

143 No offense to anyone here, but who wants to move into a black neighborhood? Hell, blacks don't want to move into black neighborhoods.

Part of the reason black neighborhoods are generally poor and dysfunctional is because anyone living there gets out as soon as they can. So there's continual flight out of the neighborhood of the very residents who could make it better.

The same is true for white trash trailer parks. Nobody wants to live there. As soon as a resident can get out, they do.

Probably, the white woman could've lowered the temperature of the confrontation, and gotten back to true racial harmony, if-

when the black woman started calling her, "Karen",

she could've called the black woman, "Aunt Jemima", which would've shown respect.

I used to think corporations were cool because all they wanted to do was make money, politics be damned. Along with this naivete, I also thought CEOs were capitalist animals who would fight DEI and ESG like Orcs. Guess not!

It's a puzzler! But it all makes sense if they're low-attachment, high-functioning sociopaths.

A nation bounded by laws and Constitution will always limit their power. If they can ride the Socialist tiger and stay on top, then they can have unbounded, unaccountable power.

By regression to the mean, sexual reproduction will hinder dynasties by making the offspring of exceptional couples closer to their ethnic group average. And, while wealth is a pie that can be expanded, status really is a zero-sum game, where your family's upward mobility may come at the cost of their family's rank. If they can use DEI and ESG to keep White and Oriental men from the lower to middle-middle classes from rising up through merit, then their own lazy, spoiled, midwit, mediocre offspring can stay on top.

This may explain the WEF/transnat elites' support for DEI/ESG and socialism.

Posted by: tcn in AK

I am not far enough away anymore from the blob that has moved my way in the last twenty years. But my neighborhood is all large acreage and not really suited for mega complex development. No pumping stations for the area means all the development must be gravity fed. That puts a choker on development long enough for my wife to finish up and retire so we can move away.

She has about five years to go for max benefits and is getting closer to just wanting to end it in two years when she can draw benefits.

I grew up on a farm mostly and miss the wide open spaces and development is beginning to be claustrophobic in our larger neighborhood along with governance getting worse.

158 public, a lot. Just... awful

I grew up on farm land just outside town and going into cities to this day feels wrong and bad. Too many people, nowhere to escape, no fields, the views are all blocked off by buildings, the smell is bad, its loud, there's no life except people and rats in alleys, maybe a pigeon or dove.

I feel trapped and uncomfortable. NO amount of Ethiopian delivery food or crappy off-off-broadway plays make up for that.

Trees go because the developers want every square foot they can get out of zoning and zero lots require bulldozing and shaping everything to get proper drainage, sewage, and construction slabs. Old style was you had a developer that sold lots to individual builders, new style is developer integrated with a universal builder for a project and often even a patron lender. So mass production of cookie cutter homes with HOAs.

FWIW, I think houses are viewed as disposable now for a corporate class that moves every couple of years anyway. Same with the H1Bs, etc. And from what I've seen, many of these new tract houses are poorly built and not really designed for decades to come.

Akshually, there are homes like that in Cville. They're usually professor's homes.

Yes, you can find homes around the $1.5 million price point near the University of Virginia (UVA) campus in Charlottesville, though inventory in that specific combination of price and proximity is limited and competitive.
• Near-Campus Neighborhoods: Areas like Lewis Mountain (within walking distance of campus and spots like the Fralin Museum or Scott Stadium), Jefferson Park Avenue (JPA), and parts of Rugby Road or University Circle feature desirable historic and traditional homes.
• Nearby Upscale Communities: Slightly outside the immediate dense campus grid, upscale areas like Ednam (close to Farmington Country Club and UVA) offer luxury homes typically floating right around or under the $1.5 million mark.
• Market Realities: In the central Cville/UVA corridor, a $1.5 million budget will generally buy you a smaller historic cottage, a high-end townhome, or an older home needing updates rather than a massive new-construction estate (which tend to push past $1.6M–$1.7M

When I was in college I rented a room and had to park in the street. No problem, it was far enough away from the campus that there was always room for more cars. The old bat living across the street got pissed though. Left notes on my windscreen all the time. Sometimes with a list of days when I was parked in front of her house, or with a polaroid, like she was gathering evidence for CSI. Note, she had a driveway big enough for two cars but she only had one. It's not as if I was taking the last street space.

220 198 Big trees are pricey. Fast growing trees tend to die quickly. Growing up in a recent suburb we had a small tree when I was born, a big tree in front when I was 10, but decades ago it started to die and lose limbs.
Posted by: Oldcat

Giant oaks, pines, etc. have root fields that extend about the same distance from the trunk as the leaves go. Get into that root field with a dozer, etc. often that will kill the big tree requiring expensive removal.

Last twenty years, spent a lot of time on local development issues helping other folks deal with incoming development nightmares and blocking the worst of them. Learned a fair chunk over time about a lot of current and bad development practices that current builders want to do.

I think the glory of pine trees will pall shortly. They are alright far enough from the house but close by, not so much and if you get pine bark beetles, will die overnight. Watch for the bright orange tops and take that tree down promptly and have it removed. Or it will spread to all surrounding pine trees quickly.

Had that experience personally. Gum trees, by comparison, are just a pain in the butt every gumball season. But can turn beautiful colors in fall.

281 271 Talarico sign out front. Gentrification house with the white and black paint scheme. Neurotic residents complaining about minorities parking by a minority university. Couldn't have painted a better picture of what Austin has become in the last 15 years. The cognitive dissonance of these uppity NIMBY liberal types is crazy.

282 Or get the city to make it resident permit parking only.
Posted by: Biff Pocoroba at October 14, 2026 03:54 PM (JzUSu)

That's what happened at the last rental place where I lived in Calgary. It was a few blocks from SAIT (a tech college), and many students parked there, but it never caused me any problem. Some neighborhood Karen came around, asking me to sign a petition to the city demanding "residents-only" parking stickers. I refused to sign, which pissed her off, but the city instituted residents-only parking anyway, and I had to buy a six-dollar sticker. Same year I finally had enough money for a down payment on my current place in the country. Gone!

284 One of the things on the tapes I had digitized: Grandpa had an American Elm growing in the yard. The tree got hit by Dutch Elm, but he kept it alive. He wouldn't cut it down because Mom had helped plant it when they moved into the house. It was still hanging on even into the 90's. Not healthy by any means, but alive.

285 255 OT, but apparently the new Narnia movie is "awful".

https://tinyurl.com/9yxme572

"One source tells Sneider the tension is very real, and that people at Netflix think the movie is "awful," calling it "a genuine problem.” A second source, who attended a test screening over the summer, compared it to Ava DuVernay's "A Wrinkle in Time," the 2018 Disney adaptation that reportedly lost the studio close to $100M. According to that source, the mood in the room was deflated once the lights came up."

289 I think the glory of pine trees will pall shortly. They are alright far enough from the house but close by, not so much and if you get pine bark beetles, will die overnight. Watch for the bright orange tops and take that tree down promptly and have it removed. Or it will spread to all surrounding pine trees quickly.

308 I guess the scriptwriters at Netflix are having troubles sexualizing the children in Narnia enough.

Greta Gerwig, satanist who made the movie said that she was entirely driven by "faith" and claimed that she 'read all of Lewis' books" which I find highly unlikely given that he wrote about 40 of them. She might have had an AI read the wikipedia summary of some of them out loud to her.

But she never stated what this "faith" was or in whom it was.

Where in the world are the producers and studio bosses?

So they just handout the bucks and cross their fingers hoping for the best?

And who in the hell thought a slam-dunk family entertainment like the Narnia series would be best served by the director of "Barbie"?!?!

That does seem to be the Netflix model.

They gave $200 million to Scorsese to make The Irishman, and they never did anything to pull back on him.

But Scorsese is a master craftsman and storyteller, and not the person who made Barbie.

Montecito, where all the Santa Barbara celebrities live, has a shit-ton of eucalyptus, which has rather shallow root systems. Every time the Santa Ana winds come blasting through the canyons, a bunch of eucalyptus comes crashing down, smashing Volvos and tearing up their personal putting greens in the backyard.

While driving through Montecito to my favorite trailhead, I saw one of these that barely missed the bedroom wing of the house. The trunk was about 7 ft in diameter and leaning against the house. The woman who lived there was standing in the front yard wearing PJs with a thousand yard stare probably with soiled underwear.
