I have 7 grandchildren now, my son and DIL have five kids. The last 3 were fosters, now adopted. Everyone looks Nordic or Irish except the youngest. He looks like a 4 year old Gary Coleman. They had fostered him since he came out of the NICU, and the adoption went through less than a year ago. We always vacation together, along with my daughter, SIL and their two boys. Two years ago, very early in the AM some of us were sitting at the table, the littlest guy next to me, kinda groggy picking at some cereal. When my son came down the stairs, he lit up like as though Santa Claus came to visit. He was instantly awake, happy and glowing that Dad was up. It was very cute. Loved the Dad's home video, Doof.

Hey, y'all. Great ONT tonight Mr. Doof.
I LOVED the babies greeting their Dada's! I love babies and always have. We are 10min from our gorgeous grands and they've known us/spent time with us since birth. This is their second home. When our 1yr old hears/sees us she crawls as fast as she can to me, like a puppy, for months. I'm sure my smile matches hers. Can walk a few steps but crawls faster. I noticed with all 3 of them when we arrive at their house, and they can hear but not see us as babies in high chairs, they cry til we assure them we know they are there and hello. How could we forget them? I didn't realize until they were born that there is no level or degree of difference in the love we have for them and our sons. They are simply ours as well. Certainly pieces of my heart running around with them. Thanks again for the music and videos. Have a great night! Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at October 06, 2026 10:50 PM (hzuYO) 102

CT State Rep update:
I had my debate with the far-left incumbent earlier tonight. I thought I did horribly, but I'm my own worst critic. The reviews I received from folks in the audience was completely different. Weston CT is affluent, and very liberal, but I made my main argument more about shifting the tax burden from the town to the state, and it went over very well with that crowd. Turns out the state gets away with saying they don't raise State taxes by pushing their unfunded mandates onto our property taxes instead. Been going on for years, but our current Rep just makes excuses for it. Not as popular as she thinks it is. Still an uphill slog, but a sprint to Election Day. We may have a shot after all. People are saying that she should never have agreed to a debate. We'll see. Posted by: Darrell Harris at October 06, 2026 11:35 PM (TBLM3) 168

And I'll give you lobsters, we have way too many. And we have tuna. Lots of it. And we make rum. And beer. And we pretty much invented piracy in the colonies. And we even grown our own cows. I'm sorry, I know it's your birthday but we win. Posted by: JackStraw at October 06, 2026 11:37 PM (viF8m) 169

USPS suks. Posted by: Braenyard My asshole mailman shoved a carburetor for a harley into the mailbox, which is across the street and down a little with my neighbor's box, instead of just putting it on the porch. It said it was delivered. I'm thinking great, because one time the asshole laid the package at the base of the mailbox in the dirt where anybody could have just snatched it. I run out to the mailbox, which is 200 feet from my door, and I don't see it on the ground. Well, it was in the mailbox, and he crushed the box it was delivered in so he could press fit the whole thing into the mailbox. One time he must have left the door of the mailbox open and probably caught it with his geek jeep when he drove away, because it was torn off and laying in the dirt. When I first moved there I asked him one time why all the mailboxes are across the street. He says "so they don't have to drive up and down the street." You know what he does when he gets to my house, the last house on his route? He does a K turn in my neighbor's driveway across the street and then heads back down the street from where he came. And we have tuna. Lots of it. And we make rum. And beer. And we pretty much invented piracy in the colonies. And we even grown our own cows.
I'm sorry, I know it's your birthday but we win. Posted by: JackStraw Youd not have beer wothout hops. Our apples, cherries and wheat kick it. And our wineries are far superior. Do you even grow grapes? Posted by: nurse ratched at October 06, 2026 11:52 PM (yEz+x) 186
Can you believe this is the 250th ONT from Doof Enterprises, LLC? We might just be starting to almost sorta kinda getting the hang of this job.

Still an uphill slog, but a sprint to Election Day. We may have a shot after all. People are saying that she should never have agreed to a debate. We'll see. Just about had it with Amazon.
Every time I order chicken pellets and grain, they email me three days later asking for their feed back. (That's what you get when you bring up chickens. This one might be better.) >>I take sunsets, oysters and crab and salmon. And geoduck. There are literally oysters farms practically in my front yard. There are something like 50 oyster farms in this tiny state. And I'll give you lobsters, we have way too many. And we have tuna. Lots of it. And we make rum. And beer. And we pretty much invented piracy in the colonies. And we even grown our own cows. Dudette, my favorite little micro brewery is about 10 minutes from me. It is literally on the grounds of a hops farm. https://www.tiltedbarnbrewery.com And yea, we have an assload of grapes and wineries around here. We also are the sailing capital of the US. Pretty much the world. You aren't going to win this. You should just surrender and come visit. I'll buy you the best lobster roll you've ever had. 2nd place is nothing to be ashamed of.
