Young kids who shouldn't have phones but deserve music?

Old people who hate phones but enjoy a phone-like mp4 player?

The photos show a WiFi symbol, so I guess you can download songs and maybe use streaming services, too, but will it work with YouTube or have a browser/apps?

“This is a type of indiscriminate mass surveillance,” Hill wrote. “It is not targeted on a single individual, as in [Carpenter v. United States, a Supreme Court case focused on how government agencies access location data from cell phones]. It is a tool that collects information about all vehicles that pass by any network-connected camera at all times, and it serves up the information to law enforcement on demand.”

Finally, I found a female judge I can agree with.

50 Google has put a 'Suncatcher' orbital datacenter satellite up there already and the results indicate it works but needs more work:

“Our system design work to this point assumes a relatively conventional, discrete compute payload, satellite bus, thermal radiator, and solar panel design,” the paper states. “However, as has been seen in other industries (such as smartphones), massively scaled production motivates highly integrated designs (such as the system on chip, or SoC). Eventually, scaled space-based computing would similarly involve an integrated compute, radiator, and power design based on next-generation architectures, such as computational substrates based on neural cellular automata.”

Google’s researchers also found “robust optical satellite-ground communications will also be critical for scaled operation but will necessitate overcoming challenges including atmospheric turbulence, high-speed relative motion errors, and precision beam tracking.” NASA’s TeraByte Infrared Delivery (TBIRD) mission, which has demonstrated 200 Gbps ground-low-earth-orbit comms, is cited as a promising approach.

Loss varies with each pitch. About half of them I hear with no loss, some I have 75% loss. A rudimentary equalizer helps some but modern tech should offer much better. If that tone generator can reproduce it then every player should offer the ability to amplify or attenuate each pitch.

Some apps have equalizers.
My desktop's speakers have an app 'Control Center' with a 1-band equalizer. It has presets and you can save your own settings.

WinAmp Mp4 player for Windows (and probably Mac and Linux, too) has an equalizer.

VLC Media Player, which is popular for playing any video without needing to download codecs, also plays audio and has a 10-band equalizer.

They are generally hard to find in settings, etc.
But most music apps themselves have them.

I had to download an app for my iPhone appropriately named "Equalizer", though, because it was damn near impossible to find one anywhere else in iOS and I looked, a lot.
You have to run that app while running the Music app at the same time for it to work.

I honestly don't know if Apple has a system wide equalizer available for MacOS or iOS but they should.
Microsoft, too, for that matter.

76 My old employer continues to haunt my dreams. I was walking across the campus, heading to an unknown destination, and with a Colt .45 1911 in a shoulder holster under my leather jacket. (Completely illegal there, of course.) I came up to the legal spot where I'd parked my car, the metallic green 1975 Ford Maverick, only to see someone starting it up and preparing to drive it away. Seems there was some kind of recruiting event setting up there and I was blocking it. The driver said, "You're okay," to which I replied, "And in what distant city am I going to park?"

I stowed jacket, holster, and gun in the trunk, got in, and was adjusting the mirrors to drive back into traffic when I woke up.

Amazing how I could see the car in every detail, from the Ford hubcaps and the green paint to the eggcrate grille.

Pretty decent. Class on Saturday, Red Cross on Sunday. Took my wife out to Texas Roadhouse last night.

I'm a simple person.

85 Hearing levels vary throughout the scales. Hearing the highest and lowest pitch is no indication of what or how much one can hear individual pitches or pitch areas in between.

86 76 My old employer continues to haunt my dreams.

Did you watch Dirty Harry before you went to bed last night or something?
