Thieves stole two entire trucks belonging to Plus.ai and got away with 20 tons of raw Nvidia silicon. (Tom's Hardware)

So raw that it was still sand. Because Plus.ai is an autonomous trucking company and was using the sand as a test load. The Nvidia logos on the trucks were related to investments and nothing to do with their contents.

I am too, tcn . . . but my Saturdays used to be crammed with errands I couldn't run on the workdays. Now I spread those chores throughout the week. Saturdays now are often more like my Saturdays when I was in school, much more relaxed, though without the worry of homework or term papers being due.

Little Dagny was on the bed when I woke. That's her idea of affection.

The brown (really gray) tabby with white, the outdoor freeloader, got some more dry chow yesterday.

25 I have a prayer request for the praying folks. On Sunday afternoon I have been attending the Anglican Church in North America - which is a split off, more conservative group from the Anglican Church. They have been using the facilities of a local church. Apparently they need someplace else to meet in December because the church which hosts them is having rehearsals for December music programs. If you could pray that another space would become available it would be much appreciated as they are meeting today with someone about this . Thanks so much!

26 Powerline's Scott Johnson has a tribute to John Hiatt posted. While I'm not a huge fan of his singing voice, Hiatt writes some great songs. In one of his, "Memphis In The Meantime", he pays a compliment to the old Rendezvous, a great traditional dry barbeque restaurant that I used to love. No idea if it still exists, but I hope so.

The flight profile is very much abundance of caution. The initial ascent trajectory will still be suborbital. If something went wrong, the thing would still come down automatically somewhere in the middle of the Pacific.

Only if everything looks good will they relight the Ship's engines to give it orbital speed. And then, they'll deploy the operational Starlink payloads into an orbital path.

The hell of it is, around here anyway, the Aldi cashiers seem on average brighter and more energetic than those found at Walmart . . . and *much* brighter than at Dollar Tree or Dollar General.

A new freeloader. I used to see the smooth shorthair gray cat I've nicknamed "Alfred" only about 2-3x a week. This semi-feral tabby and white has decided my house is a feeding station. I say "semi" because he is getting less fearful of us and is coming up to sniff our hands.

I cannot take in a third cat, and won't. But maybe today I'll pick up a small bag of the cheaper dry food to reserve that for him.

On my end, turns out that Creamsickle, the ginormous dilute orange and white dude with huge ears (and head and paws and tail) has a collar now. Either he's somebody's cat (which would make him one oddly non-feral but feral-acting cat) or he trusts someone enough to have a collar put on. It's a big piece of blue fabric that looks really good on him. Turns out he loves churus and will literally climb on me to get to one if I don't get right down to business.

I know that you'll rejoice to know that we survived without incident Saturday's coastal flooding in Sussex County. Our place was surrounded up to its skirting on three sides by the languid flood waters. It may have been a recent record, but who knows or who cares? Now to find a vendor with whom I can arrange a printing run of "I Survived Super Storm Sissy" tee shirts.

Our kitten wants to go out and sometimes sneaks out the door and sits on the top step. However , we encourage him to come back in. Where he lived before we adopted him he lived on a farm with a very long driveway, so it was much safer . We are next to a busy road and I do t want him to get smooshed.

He is trained a little bit though . He slept until 4:00 instead of bartering the door down.

Fen, the rescued cat that I picked up at a roadside rest stop in Maryland performed an amazing feat of leaps and spins while snarling and spitting the one and only time we attempted to put her on a leash as she managed to get out of it. Message received, Betsy!

I started the late super-smart black cat, Marie-Antoinette, on the harness and leash when she was about six or seven. The first couple of times she was a little tentative about it. The third time I brought out the harness, she ran to the door crying. ("Let's GO!")

Stirling is almost as adaptable, but I haven't tried the harness bit on him. He's not interested in the outdoors except for peering out the screen door or window. Same wit Dagny.

55 Big black Wolf got out one day when some workmen were here and left the door open. I stepped out and called him. He came dashing from under a step next door, ran back to me, and leaped into the apartment from my arms. Another time I left the screen unlatched while working on my car, and walked back to find him sprawled happily on the walkway not far from the door. Clearly he wanted to get some fresh air and sunlight, but didn't want to give up his nice comfortable home and his manservant (me).

Chekov D. Siberian was at the screen door, trying to work up the nerve to come out too.
