Possibly not. The left was furiously trying to stop this, so they clearly fear it. This database verification doesn't seem to require any new infrastructure or states' cooperation like the much more ambitious USPS regs on mail-in ballots.

So, it could possibly be a factor in 2026. But even if not, a lot of what Trump is doing is aimed more at the much bigger prize in 2028.

It would end with 80%+ of existing universities closing, a large contingent of unemployable "studies" professors, a complete dismissal of degrees in underwater-basket-weaving, a young adult population who would be employable, hundreds of billions of dollars of savings in Federal outlays, the defanging of teachers' unions, a resurgence of education (as opposed to minority chair-warming) at all levels of pre-college schooling.

Those are just off the top of my head. But we'll never make such demands, and even if we do we will never stay focused long enough for any of that to happen.

So, "Where will it end"? In an implosion and complete collapse. That's the only way this kind of thing can end.
