20 Good morning, everyone!

I had such a nice yesterday. First, JTB told me that he was going to order "The Complete Works of Francis Fenelon" which made me happy. I hope he likes it Recommending books is like introducing one friend to another and you're delighted when they "get along." Then I went to a book signing and talk by the dear daughter of our church patriarch, It is about her father's memories of growing up the town where the church is and where they both grew up. He was a dear , interesting funny man and died last year. She thanked me ( along with lots of other people.) I had never gotten thanked in an author's book before and I was so touched by that.. Finally, I went to a wonderful service at the Anglican Church in America. They have a wonderful priest wherever had communion , and I was delighted to see a nine year old being baptized. On the way back to our car, we saw a rose bush which spelled lovely. Thanks, God!

Inside, I helped Mr. Waverly, my boss, pile some food and coffee on trays (?), and we took them up an escalator. Then I found my new station was not an office or cubicle. It was a seat with several other agents suspended halfway up a darkened auditorium. I was trying to analyze data on the big screen below when I woke up. Whew. . . .

57 The furry thugs are doing well. Last night Linda brought over one of her endless series of free canned cat food samples which she has to review online. Stuff looked like chicken a la King. Dagny wouldn't touch it, and, oddly, neither would the voracious Stirling. She put it outside for one of the transient cats or ferals. If it's still there today, guess what kind of review it's gonna get.

She also borrowed Dagny for the day to pose her by one of the other cat food cans, and posted the pics on her review. In the pics Dagny looks even more elegant than usual. The lighting made her look much browner than she does in here, though.

87 Jones is a real piece of work. Belligerently ignorant. From the hometown I was raised. One of those northern midwest industrial towns, kind of a mini Detroit. Largely segregated, the population shifted during World War I thousands moved north for employment while Wilson drafted everyone to fight a Euro civil war.

My dad said there were very fine families in the “north end” but Johnson’s “Great Society” completely destroyed that. The 60s riots were destructive, and never recovered economically. Just a complete mess, the rot has spread into the entire town.

In a nutshell, the AI administered some testing to identify weak areas and missing skills, then focused on those. The net result was math proficiency at the desired grade level in about 6 weeks. Seems to me that a good math teacher could do that.
