For our anniversary, my wife got me a gift card for Jos. A Bank so I can replace the dress shoes that United thoughtfully lost for me. I got the survey and was filling it out and asked her for feedback.

The service itself was good but one of the salespeople behind the counter was in jeans and a t-shirt. You'd kind of expect them to make an attempt to look dressed up.

I say--sometimes out loud!--"Sucks to be me" when I'm out walking and something irritating happens: like, a parked car pulls out at the last second right into my path or someone on a cellphone suddenly stops right in front of me on a sidewalk. Makes me laugh instead of getting irritated.

Earlier commenter said the the entire ME is turning on us. I replied that basically that's not present tense. They Muslims have been against us since Mohammed wrote down his treatise of war, the Koran, around 600 BC.

My follow up means it's time to take off the gloves and wage total war on Islam. Crusades III. The Return of the Templar. And so on.

The bible references are from Revelations, but I guess you knew that.

To "take it outside" means to fight, but I guess you know that too.

However, if total war is not desirable against Islam, I'd settle for making China pay market price for oil.

Have you ever taken a real inventory of things like that you've kept, but know you'll probably never look at them again? I'm starting to get the feeling I might as well throw them out. No one will care about pictures my grandparents took. My kids don't know who any of those people are.

A good start. Last year I gave a box of videos to a friend who converts old media formats to digital. Recently he gave me a thumb drive containing it all. Today I'll review it and sort it to appropriate folders on the external hard drive I'm compiling.

I can do that, but there are literally hundreds of photos and dvds we've created over the last few decades that it would take years to go through them all. At my age it doesn't seem a task I can undertake.

I see them at this time of year before it gets light. So much for "Daylight Saving Time will save the chirrens from going to school in the dark!!!" line.

Some schools go on the platoon system, I understand, a morning group and an afternoon. Not sure. I know I used to be stuck behind school buses even at 5:30 in the afternoon, and I thought schools let out at 3:15.

My grammar school started at 8:45 and let out at 3, but we had a fifteen-minute recess at 10:20, and a lunch that was a full hour. In jr. high and high school, I think homeroom started at 8:45, we had six classes of :55 each with five minutes between, an hour's lunch (two shifts, so not everybody went at the same time), and got out at 3:15.

So Ezekiel's imagery was probably to set this idea into his audience's mind and heart.

I've done a little search on find a grave because I needed to verify a set of dates and the spelling of a name. Going through mom's side, I can go back to someone in 1577 in northern Britain. There are stories that FG is unreliable because anyone can add to your line.

Anyway, geneticists say that after about two to three generations, you have nothing from your ancestors anyway. So, although you can trace your line back that far, they really don't have any genetic connection to you.

138 Ok, since this is the Tech Thread, I'll mention this tip.

Put your emergency contact information on your phone's lock screen. I did so by typing it up in a large font and printing it. Then I took about six photos of the page with the text at different positions in the photo. I used each as the wallpaper for the lock screen until I had one that wasn't blocked by widgets.

This way if I'm lying in a ditch, or even just lose my phone, when someone pushes the button they see the contact's phone number and email.
