I saw a headline a couple of weeks ago that Brandon Johnson blamed Chicago's out-of-control murder problem on (say it with me) DRUMPF!!!

Georgetown U. "students" are upset that an orientation program will now emphasize learning and success rather than racial and sexual identity.

A Georgetown University student paper investigation has revealed the school's Center for Multicultural Equity & Access "sunsetted an identity-driven pre-orientation program" over a year ago "amid" Trump administration "attacks" on DEI measures.
According to The Hoya, the center's Young Leaders in Education, Advocacy & Dialogue program, aka YLEAD, was changed last August to Total Hoya Readiness: Intro to Vocation and Experience, or THRIVE, which no longer has programming related to identity and diversity.
YLEAD used to "foster dialogue" about "ability, ethnicity, gender, nationality, race, religion, age, sexual orientation, and social class," according to the Hoya's review of the center's archived webpages.
Solene DeGaynor, a former YLEAD participant who later became a THRIVE coordinator, said she was "disappointed" the university moved away from the original program.
"We did a lot of presentations on what it means to be a woman on campus, what it means to be a person of color in a predominantly white institution," DeGaynor said. "That was really helpful in terms of understanding how identity intersects and plays a role in how you operate on a college campus."
DeGaynor added that the new THRIVE is more about "academic success" and "access[ing] to all of the resources" at Georgetown.
Former YLEAD peer leader Dani Scott said YLEAD was "an important support system for incoming students of color and international students," and that it helped students with "all these different identities" navigate a "predominantly white institution."
"It was very much focusing on making people feel safe before they even got there and making sure that they knew that there was community there," she said.
Scott added "I wish that Georgetown has stayed a little bit stronger and truer to the mission that they said that they were creating [...] I feel like potentially there was a robbing of a certain community that Georgetown could have cultivated."

Mexican narcoterrorists have been probing the southern border with drones for a long time. The US had been using electronics-jamming equipment to drive them back across the border.

Military officials told CBS News in an article published Monday that less than two weeks after it first used a high-energy laser weapon system to down suspicious drones, there has been a roughly 75% decrease in the number of drones probing the southern border in the Rio Grande Valley.
Reports of the new laser system emerged in February after the military used a laser to shoot a Customs and Border Protection drone in Texas, prompting the Federal Aviation Administration to close down more airspace near El Paso.
Military officials said they have since had better communication with the FAA and the system officially debuted last month when the military took down three drones on Aug. 25 and 26.
The military previously used jamming tools to send drones back to their place of origin, but can now eliminate a drone if it feels like a threat from a Mexican cartel.
"When you just send it back and then it comes back up or is defeated temporarily, but the game changer is ensuring that that tool can't be used again against you," Army Col. Robert Felicio, commander of the 130th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, told CBS News.
Since the beginning of the year, the military has stopped 300 drones officials believe are linked to Mexican cartels, including eleven the laser took down over a span of ten days. It was not clear how many drones the U.S. sees each day.

Earlier today I was skimming through old articles on The War Zone site and all this stuff was in articles going back to at least 2018. I have actually witnessed, in real life, a Chicagoan blaming Indiana for Chicago's gun crimes. There was no explanation of why Indiana doesn't suffer from gun crime like Chicago does even though it would be more convenient for the criminals to commit their crimes closer to home.
