Same. I just remember one where the robot ejected one arm for some tactical purpose and flew off which would add up to some real money. Another was one dude concealed his 80 foot robot under a tarp on a huge wide truck in Siberia. I doubt there are a lot of roads that wide anywhere, much less Siberia.

She'd brought in a mouse, which escaped into the rest of the house.
We found out today, when the appliance guy showed up, that the dishwasher is not working because it chewed a hole in the hose. It also chewed bits out of the sponge mat in my sewing room.
Good news is its corpse was in the trap in the utility room when we got home from Waco yesterday.

Being an Iowanian I really should know a lot about cattle. But I don't. They do a lot of grazing on National Forest land.

One minute, no cows. Next minute, many cows. They do respond to "Git!" and "Yah!!!" pretty well. But they don't have much, or any, long term memory maybe.

Out of 80,000 possible acres of grass, the grass just under your trailer or camper or pickup, why, that's JUST the perfect, tender stuff. They can be quiet when they want to be. And I thought they laid down at night and went to sleep. Not necessarily. They look kinda spooky in flashlight. Green eyes, spaced really far apart.

I have some of their cousins in my freezer right now, so I try to cut them some slack.

I want to get the Starlink, due to remote areas oftentimes don't have access. But I'm getting less adept at dealing with new technologies. It isn't that I can't, it's just everything is a damn pain in the ass now. I'm just a simple guy trying to do simple things.

You do need an open view of the sky in a particular direction, but the app helps you position the antenna and it evens maps obstructions. We have lots of trees where I am using one and so far it's been great and very reliable.

I observed 180 watts max. It can be set to go to sleep and wake up and it drops to about 40 I think.

That's 180 watts on a 120v transformer, about 1.5 amps.

125 I can track usage on my solar system at the farm. Starlink about 180 watts, all the lights on the trailer, LED 12v maybe 100 watts, water pump 150 watts, the fridge on gas maybe 40 watts, on electric, 400 watts. Roof AC -1400 watts! That'll run your battery down pretty quick.

The Starlink mini does draw quite a bit right at startup, that's why it can have problems with a direct battery feed. Voltage sag. It needs steady juice of sufficient current to complete the boot up.

The more I learn about it, I just want to pay somebody to install the whole damned thing. I'm too old to screw around with all the minutae any longer. LOL. That's why the installers get paid the big bucks.

No, for straight DC battery power, the ampere-hour, or milliamperes is all ya need to know. As the voltage drops, the current draw increases, this is true.

But it's still straight arithmetic, and easily grokked. They just don't want to be too clear on their battery capacity in the advertisements. It's obvious.

My BIL who lives outside of Nikiski (basically, nowhere) uses both a windmill and solar panels to charge his batteries in case of an outage. We don't get much daylight in the winter, so wind makes a fair amount of sense then. He has always had plenty of power to run the house and appliances when the power takes a digger. He also has it all computerized and monitored remotely so when they are out of state he can make sure all is working correctly.

That seems like a lot of work to me, but it works for him.
