Mitt Romney 5 minutes ago This new poll is redolent of Hitler's ReichIn other poll findings: 65% of Americans say Iran is just playing for time, not negotiating in good faith, and 69% say they must not be allowed to control the Strait of Hormuz. More: InteractivePollsFantastic news: Kamala Harris leads all Democrat contenders with all racial groups. The numbers given below represent her net lead on the next-highest polling Democrat presidential contender. InteractivePollsDidn't she sell herself as an Asian? Ed Morrissey: As Alex Thompson reported on Twitter/X, Harris easily leads the field with 42% among Democrat respondents, having picked up five points since last month. Gavin Newsom trails badly in second place with only 18%, dropping six points from July. Everyone else is in single digits; Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Pete Buttigieg, Jon Ossoff, and Josh Shapiro are in a virtual tie for third, scoring between seven and nine percent each. Harris also has commanding leads among black and Hispanic Democrats.Morrissey also notes the politician with the highest favorable ratings, and it's a surprise: Harris comes in third, Trump edges her out for second, and the politician with the highest favorables is... RFKJr. So the media's ability to drive hate at people they don't like is now, basically, gone. ![]() Now, as to RFKJr.'s particular ambit: As a conservative, I used to roll my eyes and laugh off the hippies who would talk about Big Pharma and Big Ag and Big Processed Food putting out products that made us sicker, not healthier. You probably did too. (And you might still roll your eyes.) But for many on the right, our skepticism of our corporate overlords and governmental institutions is now at its highest point in American history, and that includes intense skepticism, if not outright hostility, towards Big Pharma and the bullshit "health" experts. And the corrupt corporations whose C-suites are now dominated by woke civilization-razing leftists. Anyway, RFKJr.'s brand of health-nannyism would have been a non-starter on the right ten years ago but now many of us are at least curious about it, or even supportive. And even on the left, many of the Health Nuts have not abandoned their skepticism about Big Phrama and Big Ag just because the Democrat Party now tells them that's Traitor-Talk and they must worship Anthony Fauci and Wear the Fucking Face-Mask forever. And anyway, RFKJr's form of health-nannying doesn't feel scoldy or even like nannying. He has Some Questions. I do too. And this feels fun, not dour and woke like Michelle Obama's bullshit:

Pretty sure we are going to lose NC-11 to the Democrats because Republican Representative Chuck Edwards decided he just had to romance the help in Congress and the House Ethics committee just had to issue him a reprimand even though he didn't really have sex with anyone and all they could condemn him with was breaking the spirit of the rules. Thanks Chuck and thanks shit heel Republican ethics committee members.
Edwards dropped out of the race in early August after winning the primary even though he new he had ethics issues, he decided to stay in and stab everyone in the back. Good job Chucky boy. Posted by: MAGA_Ken at September 03, 2026 02:39 PM (DbmIv) 22

Posted by: Formerly Virginian at September 03, 2026 02:39 PM (zjgNU) ======= Harvard-Harris' summer polling since 2018 has shown to be more accurate than their final polling. Off by an average of like 1% or less every election (their finals are closer to about 3-4% off). The vast majority of summer polling is response bias bullshit at the best of times, but HH seems to have gotten the secret sauce. Does that mean it's right this year? Not necessarily. Best pollsters become terrible pollsters the next cycle all the time (I think it was from 2010 to 2012 that Rasmussen went from absolute best to one of the worst). But, I'd take this polling result with less salt than almost any other poll we have today. Mark Penn (who runs the poll) appears to have an axe to grind. He was Hillary Clinton’s chief strategist in 2008 and apparently was blamed for her loss. When she ran again, he wasn’t asked back and that seems to have bothered him and he turned to Trump.
The 44% figure seems so unlikely because that’s like average for a President these days and would suggest he hasn’t suffered from Iran. It actually makes me more confident in Dems winning the House because if at 44% Trump it’s R+2 and a lot of polls have Trump at 32 or even 30, were we to split the difference at like 38-39 it still sounds like D+4-5 Doomers will accept it this move the goal posts when it’s D+8 on Election Day. Can’t wait to watch their September/October polls magically swing D+6 when they’re actually getting graded or risk getting deleted from every polling aggregate site. "anti-vaxxers" was largely if not exclusively a thing on the left.
They did their usual, calling anyone skeptical of a specific vaccine, one that was "experimental" only, emergency use authorized, to be "anti science". I mean, Fuck You. My shot record is as long as your arm, assholes. I'm not "anti science". In fact apparently I knew more about basic epidemiology than legions of paid shills on the goddamned TV. 2. Kamala genuinely is the closest the Party has at the national level with the right amount of name recognition. People underestimate how much the Democrat base loves her. They do. They think she was robbed. They think she's authentic and awesome.
Posted by: TheJamesMadison She dropped out of the 2020(?) primary before the first vote was cast because she's terrible. Dems blame her for blowing 1 billion dollars and losing to Hitler 2.0. They say the US isn't ready to elect a Black woman because of her. She's a proven loser, and those rarely come back. She's popular NOW, because of name recognition, but once the actual primary season starts, and Dems see actual energetic, exciting, non-retarded (for a Dem) candidates, she'll be tossed onto the dustbin of destiny. But for many on the right, our skepticism of our corporate overlords and governmental institutions is now at its highest point in American history, and that includes intense skepticism, if not outright hostility, towards Big Pharma and the bullshit "health" experts.
For me it only took a fee decades of pattern recognition. It all began by noticing the amount of scientific studies out there that reveal this or that food or medicine is better for your health or treatment and then a few years to a decade later this or that food or medicine has been determined to be bad for your health or treatment. Combine that with the insane amounts of chemicals and preservatives in our food supplies that have gotten so bad that it seems like you can taste the stuff, and COVID, and as a result I don’t trust anybody from the FDA to Pfizer to McDonalds to the local MD. As you say, ace, a lot of people on the right have long since given up on giving the benefit of the doubt to woke corporations and none of us ever trusted government to begin with. All you are really left with is local small business, friends, family, and yourself to trust, and even that’s not a guarantee in this day & age. The lesbos across the street that adopted a black baby girl told some of our neighborhood that we FORBID our daughter from playing with her (they're 4 or 5 years apart) because she's black. Posted by: Admiral Ackbar at September 03, 2026 03:08 PM (EGAVS) ======== People need to understand: 2020 is not now. Biden was an embarrassment who had dropped out of two previous presidential elections, one time for being a plagiarist. He was widely considered stupid and wrong about everything. And then he became Obama's VP and his decision to run in 2020 put him on top of the pack no matter what he said or did. Kamala is the same way. The black electorate is behind her in such numbers, and the black electorate is such an outsized portion of the D primary electorate, all while the rest of base are at least open to her, that she can't lose. Everyone already saw her be a mess in terms of things like speaking. That's baked in the cake. It won't negatively affect her at all. Hell, she'll probably skip the debates anyway. One of the better indicators of the midterms is Presidential popularity and generic ballot = unhappy with the party in power.
Dems need a +8-10 on the generic and Trump at sub-40 to take the House. There was never, ever a chance they'd take the Senate. +2 R on the generic means Trump's approval is irrelevant. They are not taking the House. Posted by: People's Hippo Voice at September 03, 2026 03:16 PM (3cUTc) 196

About the RFKjr. opinion. This is my one true conspiracy theory and a hill for me to die on. I admit in advance that my position (strongly held) lacks proper documentation, proof, or support. But, it's MINE...and here it is:
Various food products and some bathroom items are laced with additives and chemicals that lower testosterone. This is not happenstance. This is purposeful (and a behaviorial control mechanism), and is beginning to become more apparent in our society. Water sources of the west are largely treated with some form of Flouride, as are dental accessories (tooth paste). Flouride is shown to shut down the natural production of testosterone. And what happerns...Beta Males, "Transgenders", gay communities, more prevalent overt pedophiles.... So, yeah, I support Kennedy's efforts. I'd like to see more strict control of product inclusives, including unscheduled product studies. I'm now officially a conspiracy nut....but face it, everything, every behavior, every trend has a catalyst. Posted by: Orson at September 03, 2026 03:18 PM (dIske) 206

Michigan Jews Turn Against El-Sayed More than 400 Michigan Jewish Democrats and independents — including Democrat mega-donor Rob Orley — went public Wednesday with their support for GOP Senate candidate Mike Rogers over Democrat Abdul El-Sayed. "Many of us have been fiercely supportive of Democratic candidates and principles," the open letter says. "All of us have felt threatened and alienated by the politics and allies embraced by Abdul El-Sayed, which has included demonization of Jews, equivocation on terrorism, exclusion of Jewish Americans from public life, and expression of implacable hatred of the world’s only Jewish nation." The statement adds that "Our vote for Mike Rogers does not require that we agree with him on every issue or that we support President Trump," so it isn't like all the signers are suddenly switching parties and donning MAGA hats. But with the direction the Democrats are going these days, maybe that could change. https://tinyurl.com/3kptkrjf Posted by: Archimedes at September 03, 2026 03:35 PM (Riz8t) 297

"Sending the jury back to deliberate again could force a hung jury if the deadlock continues, legal experts say." "This is really it. This is kind of the final push." See the ABC site if you want to give them money... Posted by: Nova Local at September 03, 2026 03:40 PM (tOcjL) 338

RFKJr seems to be keeping the nuttiness *mostly* under control and focusing on breaking some of the supposedly-not-a-cartels and expanding choice to be about more than abortion. This is good, so far. He'll go all, 'you know, you really should be eating more of X and less of Y', but so far he's avoided turning that into 'thou shalts', which, y'know, his predecessors, almost all of 'em, had a predilection towards (or was it, in fact, actually all of his predecessors?).

After the judge sent the jury out to continue deliberations, he called a sidebar with the attorneys. Clancy's defense lawyer, Kevin Reddington, grew animated at the bench. 'One juror who refuses to listen to the law,' he exclaimed. == well that used to be ground for a mistrial -- not the fact that there was a bad juror, but the fact that the jurors allowed the judge/attorney's to know the status of deliberations i.e. that there was one hold out. Maybe they changed that these days. I'm old, I only used it once. Posted by: Hey Now at September 03, 2026 03:42 PM (anL5R) 348

I suppose you could make a case for it, but at the end of the day, its pretty obvious that the most likely reason is that the people who are supposed to be riding herd on pharma are getting a reward for services rendered while supervising pharma. So, while your personal meetings may not have had on the agenda skirting public safety, one wonders why pharma would hire so many regulators into high paying jobs, if they weren't trying to skirt public safety. Yeah but the patriarchy!!! - AWFL jurors I think this is where I get to remind everyone about all those people who were posting those meme images of the three men being the only ones to try to uphold justice. If the holdout wants not guilty by reason of insanity, and the rest want life in prison, you all owe an apology to at least 8 of the women on the jury. If the holdout wants life in prison, and the other 11 want not guilty by reason of insanity, you owe everyone an apology for assuming all the men would be more interested in justice than... whatever they were interested in. And all the supposedly rational men (mostly on Insty) who were setting their hair on fire and encouraging each other to practice self-defense by assuming that all women are out to kill everyone they can get their hands on and therefore men should enslave them for everyone's safety can STFU and STFD. Now if you do something where the drug is taken orally instead of by injection, or develop a controlled/sustained release formulation, you can get a patent on the administration of the drug, but not the drug itself. = Nah, they just get a new patent - say it has new features because of this slightly different molecule. Or a big one, is to do a combination of prior approved patented drugs in one pill. Its NEW its IMPROVED. It isn't a generic because its combined with one under patent. I agree that a lot of men have kinda gone overboard, and are no longer joking about repealing the 19th but most of were really caught off guard by the overwhelming insanity of ordinary women regarding this case.
