The Battle.

What is going on here? Note the baby goat in background.

Cats have no boundaries, and their jurisdiction is infinite.

Cute couple.

Another cute pair.

Helping a baby goat who got stuck in a canal.

She's a real lady.

A family of bears was rescued from a deep cistern in California.

Although they were totally out of control, we should all be happy that they are safe. Perhaps they will learn the error of their ways. Or should I say the bear-or of their ways. No I probably shouldn't say that and neither should you.

And why were the cyclists there? Cyclists should mind their own business and keep their noses out of everything. Probably selling drugs!!!

I think that is a Savannah, but probably an SBT one. Bengals have rosettes, Savannahs have more solid spots. A Savannah should have the spots crossing over the back instead of the stripes, Savannahs should never have marbling, and this one is getting close to that, and the ears should be much larger and more triangular.

But even an imperfect Savannah is a fun cat! And who amongst us doesn’t have a few flaws?

Yes, she's doing quite well. As soon as she has healed up, she will have to do some chemo, but it is mild and of short duration - basically killing off the stragglers. She will also get some drug therapy that says "Fuck you in particular" to that specific type of cancer. She's actually relieved because she was afraid she'd get crushing chemo and the oncologist stressed that she would not be given more than she could handle.

I missed the post on MILO but geez, talk about just desserts. That guy's on what, his third reinvention? First he was Breitbart's Magic Homo, but then said the quiet part out loud about teenagers being groomed like he was, and was banished to the Outer Darkness.

He then prayed the gay away, and became Catholic, which is basically the same story arc as C.O., and both of them became obsessed with Jews and other weirdness, but he also for some reason decided to swear allegiance to Iran, so not surprised he was shown the door.

114 The funny thing about MILO is that I never have had any interest in him, but he keeps getting throw at me. Breitbart made him their golden boy even though I found him utterly obnoxious and was happy to see him crash and burn.

I then stumbled on him through Catholic sites talking about his conversion and decision to abandon the gay lifestyle. Uh, sure, we'll see how this goes, but also: good for you, God bless, but I don't care.

Latterly it was the weird CPAC blowup about Christian "influencers" doing drugs and banging each other with wild abandon. He drove part of it. Again, not my crowd, but okay. Russia appears inching closer to a general mobilization of about 600k troops to overwhelm Ukrainian defenses, China probably has its own plans but for now is destroying the Euro auto business with their cheap electric cars among other things.

Japan is close to a yen crisis. UK lurches from crisis to crisis, Ireland is reaching a boiling point on migrants, and of course Spain where a corrupt leader of a minority government is trying desperately to destroy his own country rather than face jail time with his bride and fellow party members.

My cats play with their toys. But the favorite is this goofy stuffed emoji from a happy meal 10 years ago. The send that thing flying!

180 Space Force yes. Funny, I was looking up Spain's military size the other week and their Air Force is their Air and *Space* Force. Not sure when they will be colonizing that frontier.

Seriously, Jesse Waters played some clip of Trump speaking to some NASA bunch, and he mentioned the nuclear powered Mars probe in the works, and said we're gonna have a "star fleet" of those things. :-) Or something.

Ace's girlfriend is from up in your country.

You probably wouldn't know her, though.

183 What was the difference between Spock's science tricorder and Bone's medical tricorder? There was no overlap Spock never declared any of the redshirts dead.

Not sure if it is a different prop in real life. But the medical ones do different stuff. I think Spock has used a scanner to get elemental compositions in the field with his. Presumably different software, perhaps different types of scanners as well.

Got the lawn mowed today. Rain is expected tomorrow. Counties to the north and east of Houston may get 10 inches (in a pretty short time) but we may get 1 or less here.

Human wreckage from dancing with the devil for too long. The Lord may redeem him but he is now permanently barred from the US and as damaged goods, I doubt anyone serious in the UK is going to take a flyer on him. His former editor at Breitbart indicated he was trouble from day one there.

187 The Marines and the Navy can share an academy because they are both warfighters and they have to work together.

Space Force is really out on its own. They are digital warfighters, and so the usual regimen of marching, small arms proficiency and the manual of arms only tangentially applies. I mean, they should know how to use sidearms, but will they even have security forces, or will the Air Force provide them? Their facilities are going to be on someone else's base.

Cats are strange - it is understandable that an old well loved catnip toy might make them happy because of memories, but I have seen old toys from cats long passed on be found by a new cat and treated like the best toy ever by the new ones. Even ones where the catnip itself was virtually gone.

I've got a copy of The Making of Star Trek by Roddenberry and IIRC, Spock took a medical tricorder and hot-rodded it.
