Yes, the car can jump, or hop. I guess any car with hydraulic suspension can do that. The problem is it can only hop a couple inches. To "hop over something" you have to be going very very fast.

And you have to detect it from a distance. So no one is jumping over nail strips or a body in the road.

98 Getting tin for bronze was the limiting factor in making bronze. Arsenic has its own problems. But you needed international trade to sustain the amounts of tin you needed for bronze and that’s why the Bronze Age fell. Bronze is actually stronger than steel, often enough. It’s just that iron can be made into steel anywhere you have the ore, if you have man-power to drive a blast furnace. It does not depend on tin deposits in far away lands.

The earliest Iron smelting appears to have been related to the use of Iron oxides as a flux for purifying copper and bronze melts that caused iron prills to form in the slag. The Hittites were working on that problem but things fell apart before they cracked the problem.

Look on your toothpaste tube. It should tell you what the stannous fluoride content is. If not, there should be some journal articles on the subject of fluoridating toothpaste, and one should be able to get a ballpark figure there. Once you have a per tube, or per gram value, multiply by the known volume of toothpaste sold.

I still have several of them. Useful for soldering gas tanks, as fire or electricity never gets near the tank. You can buy large electric soldering irons, in the 300 watt range.

50/50 was used for tin work, radiators, etc.
60/40 for electrical connections.
63/37 is the actual eutectic, the lowest melting point obtainable with a tin/lead alloy.

I'm looking at my two rolls of solder here. Kester "44" is the gold standard 63/37 that I prefer; that was $30/lb. The other is Chemtronics 60/40, which I just happened to find a roll of, for free.
